[digitalradio] Inexpensive digital mode interfaces with LINUX ?
Does anyone know if there are inexpensive digital mdoe interfaces that work under Linux, have a usb conenctor, and provide CAT rig control ? I have a good inertface but it supports Windows only. For some upcoming projects I would like to have one that works under Linux. Hi Andy, I have the donner rig and digital interface for my IC-738 but I use XP because my main program is HRD (This is my 6th one). Send Whitey or Carol a message and ask them, I am sure they give you a quick answer. They have great service after the sale, and they are true plug-n-play. 73 Kurt K8YZK --- On Thu, 10/15/09, Andrew O'Brien aobri...@stny.rr.com wrote: From: Andrew O'Brien aobri...@stny.rr.com Subject: [digitalradio] Inexpensive digital mode interfaces with LINUX ? plan B would be to look at a rig which will operate without an interface. I am using the TS480SAT direct from data port to computer. Re: [digitalradio] Inexpensive digital mode interfaces with LINUX ?
Actually I think its easier to reverse the question and try to find what does not work with linux. I suppose someone will reply with some horror story now but I have yet to find a problem. I use this one:http://www.cgantenna.be/sb2000.html My pskmail server is using this: http://ham.srsab.se/pdf/MISC/digi-testbericht.pdf The first does have USB and provides CAT/CI-V (or whatever they choose to call it). 73 de Per, sm0rwo From: Andrew O'Brien aobri...@stny.rr.com To: digitalradio@yahoogroups.com Sent: Fri, October 16, 2009 1:51:16 AM Subject: [digitalradio] Inexpensive digital mode interfaces with LINUX ?
