[slim] LastFM broken for all Squeezebox devices
Hi For several days LastFM has been broken. On the Boom, if playing LastFM station the 4 arrowed selection button on remote becomes unresponsive. Normally selecting the right pointing arrow would allow me to love the track. On the Duet contoller, attempting to love the track just gives the message Empty. Anyone know what's going on here ? SlimboJimbo;643416 Wrote: First:Excellent job, finally squeeze-playback on android, thank you! I have only stumbled on one problem/bug. I connect over hsdpa/3g using connectbot, ssh-tunneling the ports 9000 and 3483. It works like a charm, but it will not play the next song in the playlist. It just stops at the end of the first song. However if I jump to next song in Squeeze Commander it will play just fine again until the end of that song. In the Settings of the player in SqueezeServer, Play other songs in album or directory is selected. When I play over wlan it works as expected, playing the next song in the playlist. Is this a known problem? /SJ bluegaspode;643424 Wrote: Hi SJ yes - this is a known problem of either ConnectBot or Android. Only people using honeycomb claim that connectbot works without flaws in a Squeezebox environment. Unfortunately noone wanted to help me on the connectbot groups: http://groups.google.com/group/connectbot-users/browse_thread/thread/acd1fc6c8964ae63 Anyway, please read my instructions here: http://www.squeezeplayer.com/2011/05/3g-part-5-secure-your-communication-channel/ I couldn't live without a working secure connection myself, so I wrote my own little App to create a working SSH tunnel (downloadable on the above page). Requires a rooted phone unfortunately, as the App installs the official OpenSSH client and thus isn't affected by Android bugs anymore. I have found a workaround for this! In Squeeze Commander I selected to sync my phone with my Squeezebox, with the Squeezebox as master. Now it plays the next song as it should. /SJ -- SlimboJimbo SlimboJimbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13244 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87364 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Try rebooting your entire network. Unplug router, turn off PC, unplug all players. Now boot them up in that same order waiting for each device to completely boot up before proceeding to the next device. Re: [slim] Probably the Worst Update in The World ...
I think you said elsewhere you wanted to use an usb drive - that has to be run using the Touch tiny sbs server (on the Touch). So, you are going to be switching between the Touch server and your PC server. Im not sure but if you go that route then you'll be connecting to mysb.com for internet radio. The easiest way is to run the server on your PC and connect the usb drive to that - this means you need the PC on whenever you use the Touch. -- castalla castalla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89152 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

You have to kill scanner.exe manually. Set scan logging to Debug and check the log file. To do this in the gui, go to Settings, the Advanced tab, then select Logging in the drop down list. Then go down to (scan) - All Scan Logging and set it to Debug. Now perform a clear and rescan and check the log file when it starts on the art work and hangs. Re: [slim] Rhapsody no longer plays on Squeezebox Classic
All, Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I had a squeezebox classic that also has not played Rhapsody for weeks. It was the ethernet bridging even though I've never used it. I had to connect the normally wireless classic unit to a by ethernet cable to the router. This caused the ethernet bridging question to appear during network setup so I could disable it. Once it was disabled it worked fine either wired or wireless. I am using 7.6.0 with firrmware 137 on the squeezebox classic. This worked the same way Hokie reported earlier and the last poster explained in great detail. Thanks again both of you.
