Hey Paul, good to hear from you again, hang around. The beauty of this Forum is that 1) It is here, 2) everybody tries hard to help others. You have helped others as well as me in the past. It is great having somewhere to go to see if we actually have an issue and if so, does somebody have a solution. *iPhone* Media Room: ModWright Platinum Signature Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, Vandersteen Speakers: Quatro Wood Mains, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Video: Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1, Vandersteen V2W Subwoofer Living Room: Transporter, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Office: Touch with Vandersteen VSM-1s Kitchen: Touch in-wall mount w/ Thiel Powerpoint 1.2s Bedroom: Squeezebox BOOM Bathroom: Squeezebox Radio Around the House: SliMP3, SB1, SB2, SB3 Ford Thunderbird: SB Touch, USB drive Ford Expedition: SB Touch, USB drive iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108320 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Why has spotty disappeared from plugins?
I don't think it had to do anything with Spotty. Something in Windows smelled funny. I think it was a registry or update issue. This was a re-purposed old laptop (Lenovo X200) that I'd had not touched and was hidden under a couch for 6 years. :-) I took it out, put Ubuntu 16.04 on it, and things are running perfectly. See ya in a few years, X200 buddy! :-) As always - thinks to the community for listening and always being willing to help! ...paul - squeezeboxing away since 2005! ...pablo Server: Virtual Machine (on VMware Workstation 12) running Ubuntu 16.04 + LMS 7.9 System: SB Touch --optical->- Benchmark DAC2HGC --AnalysisPlus Oval Copper XLR->- NAD M22 Power Amp --AnalysisPlus Black Mesh Oval->- Totem Element Fire Other Rooms: 2x SB Boom; 1x SB Radio; 1x SB Classic-> NAD D7050 -> Totem DreamCatcher + Velodyne Minivee Sub Computer audio: workstation --USB->- audioengine D1 -> Grado PS500e/Shure 1540 pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108320 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Why has spotty disappeared from plugins?
In my experience the Spotty plugin disappears when a new version is released and the auto installation feature of LMS picks it up. I've personally never seen this happen. As a new version of the plugin was released a few days ago; are you having perhaps the same issue on you Win7 installation? The latest update was released a few hours after this thread was started. Pablo's leg entries smell like networking issues and certainly don't have anything to do with the plugin itself. He even says "the 3rd party plugins don't show anywhere". It's not limited to Spotty. -- -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Why has spotty disappeared from plugins?
In my experience the Spotty plugin disappears when a new version is released and the auto installation feature of LMS picks it up. In the meantime the old plugin version is still working fine btw. After a manual restart of LMS the plugin (new version) is back in the list and running. I am running LMS 7.9.x. on Xubuntu 16.04LTS. As a new version of the plugin was released a few days ago; are you having perhaps the same issue on you Win7 installation? *Living Room:* HifiBerry DAC+ Pro & piCorePlayer *Attic:* HifiBerry DAC+ RCA & piCorePlayer *Kitchen:* SB Radio *Other rooms:* 4x SB Radio zordaz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61726 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108320 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
