Re: [slim] HD track won't play via SB3
thanks Eric, My DAC is alright with the 88.2/176.4 as I have no problem when I play the same file by the Touch, only the SB3 has the problem using the same LMS. Since I already have the 24/176.4 file, the question is how do I play it via the SB3 without converting it to 24/86 or 24/48 physically. -- Bryan Jan Regards, Bryan SB Touch+EMM Labs DAC2 Bryan Jan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17394 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93680 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] HD track won't play via SB3
Thanks Mnyb for the quick reply. I don't have the FLAC versions of my high res file but can convert it to FLAC. Will create a bug report & upload an sample file when I got home. My 24/176.4 and 24/192 AIFF are fine when I use another player (not the Touch), it even can be played it natively without further transcoding, however just love the SB3+iPeng solution more. By the way, if I use the Touch, the same file is ok, the LMS definitely can recognize the player limitation and do the transcoding accordingly, somehow it doesn't work for 24/44.1 and 24/48 for SB3 but work for 24/48 & 24/96 for the Touch respectively. -- Bryan Jan Regards, Bryan SB Touch+EMM Labs DAC2 Bryan Jan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17394 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93680 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] HD track won't play via SB3
Hi, I'm sure this topic have been discussed many times and I did search the whole forum but cannot get the answer. Here is my problem: 1. I got some high resolution tracks 24/176.4 and 24/192 recently 2. I used to play 24/96 or 24/88.2 fine with the SB3 3. when I play the 24/176.4 or 24/192, from the SB3 display I saw the song is playing, the timer is moving, but no sound or some strange noise, I hear part of the song is decoded and definitely some are missing. 4. I used SB3 digital coaxial output, my DAC is capable to 24/96. I have the latest LMS 7.7.1 & SB3 firmware updated. How can I play those 24/176.4 and 242/192 tracks? What setting in the File Type I need? Thanks Soulkeeper, MP3Tag solved the mystery. I saw none problem when I check the tag information via the iTunes. But when I use MP3Tag, all the first songs of these 9 albums have no tag at all. [slim] Can't get the first song scanned in each album
I added 9 new albums to my library. Then I asked the server to scan for new music. I got all 9 new albums scanned & artworks are there too. However, I found that the first song of these 9 albums were missed. I tried to access these through my music-->Music Folder, I found the songs are each folder of these 9 albums but the first song of each is not there. Then I used the file explorer to check whether the first song of these 9 albums are there, and they are in each of those folder. The problem is the scanner didn't scan the first song.
