I'm seeing the same bug with a brand new server computer and new install
of 7.4.0.

As a BTW, if you're using a SB2, I'm not sure there's much of any
improvement to be had in 7.4x over 7.34 anyway.

Re: [slim] 7.4.# and multiple track listing

2009-10-19 Thread bobkoure

If you completely remove the folder holding one of the "dual listing"
albums from your scan (just move it somewhere) and then do a "find new
music" scan what happens?
Sorry it's a question and not an answer, but this is how I'd start
prodding thee system to see what had gone awry...

Re: [slim] 7.4.# and multiple track listing

2009-10-16 Thread bflatmajor

Thanks for the suggestions, but they didn't fix the problem.

I had to cue files so I deleted them.
I looked at all the music on my second drive and noticed that some
tracks had disc 1/1 entered, so I removed that.
I then did a clear and rescan but when I went back into new music those
same albums had multiple tracks listed.

Any other suggestions?

My playlists didn't reference any music on my second drive.

Thanks

Re: [slim] 7.4.# and multiple track listing

2009-10-16 Thread Siduhe

Could it be this issue? Do you have playlists or CUE sheets which
reference the files in a different way from the way that Squeezecenter
sees your music library?

Re: [slim] 7.4.# and multiple track listing

2009-10-16 Thread bobkoure

On the drive that has multiple listings - is your music as separate
tracks plus a CUE file? Are there M3U files?
I -think- CUE files get treated as a second instance, even if the track
has already been scanned. I'm pretty sure M3U files are not - but I'm
not sure about that.
If you do have CUE files, go to
server settings / advanced / file types
and add CUE (and maybe m3u?) to the box labeled "Disabled Audio File
Extensions".
Hope that helps...

[slim] 7.4.# and multiple track listing

2009-10-14 Thread bflatmajor

I've just upgraded from 7.3.? to 7.4 then to 7.4.1
In both version 7.4 and 7.4.1 whenever I go into new music I see tracks
for numerous artists repeating multiple times, actually 3 times each.

After further investigation, it appears like it only happens to artists
that reside on my second harddrive. I have two harddrives that contain
my music.
Both harddrives are internal. One drive is labeled F, the other
labeled G.
There is a folder/shortcut in the F drive that points to the music
folder on the G drive.

I didn't have this problem when I was using 7.3.#. This issue appeared
once I upgraded to 7.4.#.

This anomaly occurs in the New Music folder and when I look for music
under Artist.

This is a problem when I go into new music via the browser UI and tell
SC to play a cd and it places the tracks in the playing section 3 times
for each track. So a cd that has 3 songs now has 9 songs queued up ready
to play, track 1 would play 3 times, then track 2 would play 3 times and
so one.

I've cleared the cache, cleared my music library/database and rescanned
but the problem still exists.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

My OS is vista ultimate 64 bit SP2
