I just upgraded a fully functional SB3 with SS6.2.1 to the new version.
After the firmware got upgraded to version 29, everything turns mad at
me. I can connect to my server but I do not get any sound playing
music, just see the titel. When connecting to Squeeznetwork, the music
starts playing for 3 seconds, the SB3 reboots itself. What is going on
here. This is a complete disaster.

 HELP HELP HELP HELP

You realize you're running pre-release software, right? If you want to
try the bleeding edge, be prepared for some instability. For help with
the nightly builds, please post in the Beta forum - we will need data
from you such as which platform you're running, what kind of wireless
network you have, and so on. Then we can get the bugs fixed for you!

If you don't want to troubleshoot that's fine too, just roll back to
official release and you should be fine.

2006-02-01 Thread Mitch Harding
I'm using a 6.2.2 nightly with no problem. But you still haven't said which new version you tried, so I'm not sure if that's applicable to you or not. And in any case, I'm running on Windows XP and on a nightly from a few weeks back, so it wouldn't necessarily apply to your case.
Nobody said these versions are upgrades. They are beta software releases. Use at your own risk.On 2/1/06, SoundBoy

order to fix problems with SqueezeNetwork. But, point well taken, I

Ah - rock and a hard place then. :)

The bugs you encountered are related to some major changes to the
wireless driver which, ironically, are intended to fix a lot of bugs.
But we only just checked them in and there are a bunch of new, known
issues to resolve with a variety of different routers before we ship
it.

If you'd like, keep an eye on the Beta forum for an idea of when it
will be ready for wider testing prior to release. Some people are
having good results already with firmware 29, but obviously it's not
ready.

And don't forget to do a factory reset (unplug SB, hold the + button, plug
SB). It fixed the issues I had with fw 29.
