You know, I haven't decided whether the chicken is gonna be warm or cold,
but I bet a food warmer would be useful to synhak (pizza's gotta stay warm
 too.)
 Ride was no problem.

 Martha,
Well, thank you many bunches for the offer of
fully-cooked and spicy lower extremities from random
 chickens!
If possible, try to separate the left legs and
thighs from the right legs and thighs, as some picky members
prefer one side over the other. I think it has something
to do with altered states of reality on odd-numbered
 days.

I am sure all will be pleased the addition of
some tasty food from your kitchen.
Would you like to serve the pieces/parts warm?
If yes, I have a new, never used, food warmer that uses
 Sterno for heating.
It is a big aluminum tray with a wire frame support.
Let me know and I will have it at SH by noon on Saturday.
I'll try to find some cans of Sterno or bring a bag of
 wood sticks to burn.

BTW, I set aside a dozen or so empty glass bottles for you
to recycle. All are in a pile on the new sink in the new
kitchen area. They were left over from the festivities
 last Saturday.
A little late, but I wanted to thank you for the
ride to west Akron the other day. I appreciate your
generosity and time. I hope it was not too much out of
 your way.

 See you this weekend!
 Philip

Just a big platter - probably not enough for everybody. I

Re: [SH-Discuss] Opening day festivities

2014-02-25 Thread Becca Salchak
We started talking about it at the meetings but I got distracted by the
intense
Discussions going on I forgot to bring it up. Cupcake supplies! I was
planning on making mini cupcakes so each batch makes about 50 cupcakes
 give or take 10.
For a batch of cupcakes I need :
2 sticks of butter
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
3 cups of cake flower ( can use all purpose flower to save $)
1 tbs baking powder
 As well as
2 sticks of crisco
And 2 lbs of powdered sugar

For space giving if anyone recalls I made 2 batches of cupcakes. I was
planning on at least 3 batches for Saturday. I would like to start baking
Friday afterwork at the latest. How do we move forward does someone want to
go with me to Sam's to make the purchases or elsewhere? Or did someone else
just want to do the shopping? I don't are either way. I am off all day
tomorrow and then Thursday and Friday after 3

I am thinking about starting opening day with a speakers bureau presentation on
Linux.  I know many people ask me to do this.  It will probably be 1 hour
speech broken into two parts.  It will be kind of beginners and explain more of
the science behind it.  I will keep you update on the topic.
