Re: [Dx4win] Ignore mode

Hi Paul,

I believe this is normal operation - mine works that way also. And I
believe someone has requested that Paul change "Ignore mode in real time"
be changed to stay on until turned off,

I use "Flexradio6000 1" as my radio file. DX4Win and Flex6500 talk perfectly

Hi again
Once a problem is solved, another one comes up !
Now I have my Flex communicate with DX4Win I am working in FT8 mode on 30m,
so I have selected "Ignore mode in real time", otherwise QSOs will be logged
as RTTY, which I do not want.
BUT the "Ignore mode in real time" goes off after I log a QSO.
Why is it not frozen ?
How can I do that without havind to go to the radio menu and click there
again after each QSO ?

Re: [Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time/changes/bug

2009-03-19 Thread Jack Shirley
It could be fixed by resetting the ignore mode when you exit either mmtty or
psk31. This would be logical. Yes its very annoying because the mode
thereafter is picked up by dx spots which explains why I log the wrong mode
sometimes. Maybe a warning flag too??
I'm going to solve the problem by using mmtty and its logging feature and
winwarbler, dxlabs, for psk31/63 which works better for me anyway on these
digital modes.

As far as I'm concerned that part of the program is broken.( mmtty & psk )

Re: [Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time/changes/bug

2009-03-16 Thread Paul van der Eijk
Jack,

Thank you for reporting this, but this is what I described in my message
to you and the reflector Mar-7:
==

Looking around in my code, the only 'unexpected' way to get the program
to ignore the mode from the radio is to double-click in the PSK32 or
MMTTY Window. The assumption is that you double-click a callsign, and
that you want to add a QSO with that callsign. As many radios do not
indicate the mode PSK31 or RTTY, the program sets the mode to the mode
of the window the double-click came from (PSK31 or RTTY). To have the
mode stick, we need to set IgnoreMode, otherwise the next radio poll
will set the mode back to the mode obtained from the radio.

[Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time/changes/bug

2009-03-16 Thread Jack Shirley
I finally have found what is causing the "ignore mode in real" time to
change.

If I am in MMTTY and if I double click on a call or name, qth to bring it
into the log, at that point it changes.

So I guess there is some software conflict with mmtty and your code.

I hope you can fix this in future updates.

[Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time

2009-01-30 Thread Wayne M
Is any one else having trouble with "ignore mode in real time" changing
to being active without checking it so? Using DX4WIN 7.07.02 with a
Yaesu FT1K MK V and MKII under WinXPpro.

I've notice recently while switching modes and using "F9" suddenly the
radio is in the "ignore mode" state with a check mark I didn't apply.

Thanks for any insight..

[Dx4win] ignore mode in real time bug

2005-06-25 Thread SV1DPI
I use the 7.01 with a yaesu ft1000mp mark-v.\
For rtty I work afsk and for this reason I work rtty on pkt mode When I
double click a call in rtty window, dx4win puts the call in qso window
and turn the mode on rtty (right). For doinf this turns on the selection
"ignore mode in real time" under Radio in main menu. But when I leave
from rtty and press f12 to clear or f9 to turn the radio in real mode,
dx4win forgets to turn off the selection. 73... Kostas sv1dpi

[Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time and spots!

2005-02-14 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello Radi!

I agree with you, but as far I'm know, there's an option to actually disable
the mode window even
working with the radio connected, but DX spots shouldn't affect this widow as
stated on help pages:

The mode for the QSO.

The Mode field is initially set to the value specified in the default QSO. All
QSO entered subsequently will have the same mode setting as the last QSO
entered.

If a radio is connected and QSOs are added in real-time, the mode is
continuously obtained from the radio until the QSO is entered in the log. There
is an option to ignore the mode from the radio, Main Window | Radio | Ignore
Mode in real-time. This can be useful when adding RTTY QSOs for example with
the radio in LSB mode.

When using a mode for an award, the QSO modes are mapped to the more generic
modes; CW, Phone and RTTY. Some modes, like SSTV, are mapped to phone, but it
is still custom to exchange RST reports with three digits. The table below
summarizes the mappings and the RST defaults.

In the Pattern column, the letters have the following meaning:

N Normal rs(t) as many digits as the default value

A Aurora reports in the form: rsA, rsR, Rrs

O Oscar reports; allows 59 for CW , and allows O as a report

[Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time and spots!

2005-02-14 Thread Radivoj KAR
I have the same issue here with PSK31. One solution is to uncheck all modes
except the wanted one in the Preferences?Station?Mode setup and check the
"ignore grey spots" box in Packet1 when wishing to use RTTY/PSK etc..
Then, you will see only the spots of the selected mode on the upper packet
window, and still see anything received in the lower one. Not the most
elegant, but is a solution if you wish to work only one mode...
But, I guess Paul can fix that issue.

[Dx4win] Ignore mode in real time and spots!

2005-02-12 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hello to all!

I need some help on a problem I just came across today while on contest.

While on contest today " RTTY" I disabled the "mode" on real time and set the
"Defaults for new QSO" to:
Band: 20mMode: RTTY QSL met. Buro Label. . Group: 27

But while operating the QSO window, the mode will change acording to the spots
coming
from DX spots window. Now this is anoying as I'm working RTTY and the "Mode"
window changes
all the time, after the qso is made I have to change manualy, this's working
find on my 6.03 version,
but on 6.04 I have to close the internet connection to DX spots, so the mode
window will not change.

It should be possible the mode window not to be affected by spots window when
we ask for manualy defaults
new qso. What is wrong ? I have tried diferent conbinations, either with or
without radio connected.

Why does this happen?

Thanks
