[Dx4win] Label Printing Question

2013-03-14 Thread Eric Rosenberg
I have four log files that each have 1-3 QSO's I want to print labels for.

Is there any way to merge them together into one file to print? I'm not
sure how one prints to file

The other option is to run the same sheet of labels through the printer
four times, but I don't remember how to set the offset to skip past the
labels that have been removed/used after each pass through the printer.

Any/all help is appreciated!

Thanks 73,
Eric W3DQ

Re: [Dx4win] Label Printing Question

2013-03-14 Thread Kostas SV1DPI
If you want to print all together you must make a new file and separate
every call in groups. You must name every group with the call you want
to print and after that in filepreferencesRep/Lab add a %%. Also when
you go to print, you must have print group names box checked.
Easier if you go with your second option. When you go to print (qso
windowQSLsPrint QSL labels) a window opens. Notice the Missing
Labels box in the middle. Here you are. Note that if have a sheet with
more than one column with labels, dx4win prints by column. So if you
have missed the first column (8 labels for example) and 3 labels in the
second, you must write 11 in that box.

You can merge the DX4WIN logs using Files | Import/Export then in the
new window, File | Merge DX4WIN log.

Or you can export the 1-3 QSOs from each file to, say, a DX4WIN8 file.
Create a new DX4WIN log and import those little files into it. Then
print from this new log.

Dear Bill,

I think that it is BV7.8 - not DX4WIN!

I Notice that a lot of QSL managers use DX4win to print labels for outgoing
QSLs--I do for PJ6A. Many of their labels are formatted as follows:

XV2A confirms QSO [s] with N4NX

I haven't seen or read how you modify the Call Sign top line to look like
that. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Re: [Dx4win] Label-printing question

2008-05-17 Thread Alan Zack
One thing to consider is some methods will also print the address label
and others will not. I forgot which methods does what but using PREVIEW
before doing the actual printing will show you if there is also an
address label in the print queue or not.

I've added Dick's method to my DX4WIN Application Notes:

labels. Those will then be the only labels that will be printed and
all other label flags will be left untouched.

[Dx4win] Label-printing question

2008-05-10 Thread Garry Shapiro

Problem and question:
Because I have been cavalier about checking the LABELS box, Q's I need
confirmed and TNX for all the JA's and others all have the LABELS box
checked. Is there a way to pick a subset for printing (e.g. needed
topband counters) without erasing all other LABELS checks first? I
really do not want to print 2000+ labels all at once and then go fishing
for the ones I want to process right away. I also do not want to lose
track of the JA's and others who QSL'd via the buro and to whom I
therefore owe cards.

[Dx4win] Label Printing Question

2002-12-14 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED] (John Bednar)
I played around with the program and suspect that this
is a bug. If you tell the program to put those without a
buro into Other and then decide to print Other, it doesn't
show any labels.

Subject: [Dx4win] Label Printing Question

I went to print labels today and found the following:

 1. If I print all the number is 263.
 2. If I tell it to ignore those who where a bureau is not available, I
 print 243.
 3. I haven't found a way to print those other 18 after reading over the
doc and trying various things with the options available in label
 printing.

Clearly I have missed something and would appreciate help. I have saved
the log with no labels printed so I can come back to it any time and do
 it again.

 Thanks 73
