[e-gold-list] Re: e-gold to paypal.
I guess you are too busy doing this to make the deposits to Mr. Golub's e-gold account #162066 for the bank money order you have had for 11 days and the postal money order you have had for 10 days. It seems you are also too busy to answer emails or phone calls about this ridculously long delay. A prompt (today) resolution to this would be advisable. [e-gold-list] IR2000
http://www.omnipay.net/indian_river_summit/index.html The date for discount registration at the Quality Suites for Indian River Summit 2000 (IR2000) attendees has been extended to 9 October. After that, all unreserved rooms will go back up to their standard rates. Alternative hotels are listed on the Accomodations webpage, linked to the URL above. We anticipate four major announcements, and ample networking opportunities. Nevermind that the weather in Central Florida at the end of October is lovely. Previous conferences, co-hosted by Systemics Inc., CSEI, and The Icelandic Independence Party have been great successes. They will pale compared to this one, however. You really don't want to miss this one. Already, we have presenters from Australia, Estonia, the UK, and the USA, and attendees from across the globe. If you are planning to attend, but have not yet registered, please do so now, by completing the form at the Registration link from the URL above. [e-gold-list] Gold-Age Notices
--- begin forwarded text Date: Wed, 4 Oct 2000 05:07:45 -0400 (EDT) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED], LLC [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Subject: Gold-Age Notices This message is being sent to everyone who placed a credit card order (whether it was accepted or declined by Authorize.Net) with Gold-Age between 09/16 and 09/29, in order to address some questions we have received * Gold-Age has changed its rates and policies for credit card orders (and other payment vehicles) effective 10/01/2000. The service charge on orders placed before this date will not be affected. *Many who placed orders over $200 have inquired as to why their e-gold account is not yet funded. As per the policy on our website: there is an additional 7 day hold for CC orders over $200 * In order to better serve and protect our clients, Gold-Age has set up an exclusive Preferred Client website, accessable only by Preferred Clients. Some of the benefits of being a Preferred Gold-Age Client are faster service and lower rates. See our website for more info on becoming a Preferred Client (past clients of Gold-Age that qualify as preferred clients will receive an E-mail in the next day or two with instructions on setting up their User ID Password for access to the Preferred client pages and order forms), * Gold-Age was hit by over 5 million (USD )worth of fraudulent CC orders over the past week (and we're still investigating more). This significantly slowed our processing for a while, delaying orders that otherwise would have been funded 1 or 2 business days ago (this credit card fraud also almost resulted in the loss of our merchant processing accounts). We apologize for any inconvenience. We are back on track, with a new and improved service (baptism by fire!) and if your order is not subject to an additional hold it will be funded post-haste. Our new order policies and internal screening proceedures should make the majority fraudulent orders a less significant problem. Thank you for using Gold-Age. Regards, Parker E.C. [e-gold-list] Re: e-gold to paypal.
I have just heard from several other people about long delays and still no funding by Mr. Khan of their e-gold accounts and these were money orders and bank checks made out to KISSMYGOLD. I think it is time for E-gold to consider removing Kissmygold from the list of market makers. I don't think there is much more e-gold can do but, when people see a market maker listed on the e-gold web site, they (perhaps wrongly) assume that the market maker is known to e-gold and reliable. [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of gary In reference to KissMyGold I guess you are too busy doing this to make the deposits to Mr. Golub's e-gold account #162066 for the bank money order you have had for 11 days and the postal money order you have had for 10 days. It seems you are also too busy to answer emails or phone calls about this ridculously long delay. A prompt (today) resolution to this would be advisable. Good *(^^* luck. You think you've got problems. Get this... I received an insurance claim check on 20 July which I promptly (21 July) mailed to KissMyGold for the purpose of purchasing e-gold. After approximately three weeks with no inexchange, I contacted Mr Kahn (of KissMyGold) and was told that he had never received the check. I verified with the insurance company that the check had not cleared, assumed that it was lost in the mail, and was issued a replacement check. That check was mailed (certified mail, return receipt) on, approximately, 27 Aug. The return receipt shows that Mr Kahn signed for the envelope containing the check on 30 Aug. To date, the amount of the check has not appeared in my e-gold account. (I just checked.) After several emails concerning this problem went unanswered, I threatened legal action against KissMyGold unless I received a response concerning the problem. Mr Kahn's email response? "I'm checking into it..." He's supposedly been "checking into it" for at least three days now with no further word on what happened. I contacted the insurance company and learned that the check had cleared on 6 Sep. Not only has Mr Kahn had the check for over a month, he's had the *funds* for at least three weeks. Legal action is being contemplated. [e-gold-list] Kissmygold
I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Well serviced customers take their gold with nothing more then a smile but customers who may have experienced a small delay break the microphones. In response to recent questions, Kissmygold is alive and well. KMG is one of the five largest marketmakers with over a thousand return customers. Because of the large number of business we've experienced, we have also had quite a bit of fraud. As much as we'd like to believe that every request that comes into us saying that "I sent you a check but no gold is in my account" is legitimate, our experience has shown that we can not do that. They are carefully investigated. If money was sent to us it will surely be funded. If you are dissatisfied with our service on mailed media, then please use electronic remitance, ie: PayPal, Online Checks. Or please take your business to another market maker. We have processed over three thousand individual transaction in the last two and a half months and not all of them can be completed scratch free. [e-gold-list] RE: Merchant Reviews etc...
Those of you that have dealt with the various market makers should leave public feed back at http://www.freedomhound.com Sounds like a good idea but where do you leave the feedback? I could find no area where marketmaker ratings were presented. In the forums there is a section for merchant reviews. --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

One or two disgruntled customers could really wreck an MM's reputation if they put their minds to it. It would also be easy for an MM to "stuff the ballot box" by writing rave reviews of his own service and criticizing the competition. This is all true. I am currently working on a system that would safeguard against that, I hope to unviel it at the summit. --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

FWIW, I've always felt as though this mailing list has provided a fairly good arena for evaluating market makers. I realize that this doesn't necessarily help e-gold newbies, but for those of us who are here I think that it has been more than educational! [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Khurram Khan I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Well serviced customers take their gold with nothing more then a smile but customers who may have experienced a small delay break the microphones. Small delay? Almost a month since the check cleared the issuing bank? If you consider that a small delay, that alone should put you out of business. And this is not the first time I personally have experienced a "small delay". As much as we'd like to believe that every request that comes into us saying that "I sent you a check but no gold is in my account" is legitimate, our experience has shown that we can not do that. As much as I'd like to believe you that you never received my check despite the fact that you signed a certified mail receipt acknowledging that you received it AND despite the fact that the check has cleared the issuing bank, I can't do that. If necessary, we can trace the routing codes back and determine if it was deposited to your account or not. They are carefully investigated. If money was sent to us it will surely be funded. When? How long does it take you to "carefully investigate"? If you are dissatisfied with our service on mailed media, then please use electronic remitance, ie: PayPal, Online Checks. Or please take your business to another market maker. That last suggestion would be my choice. [e-gold-list] Re US Banks and Cheques - Urgent Urgent !!
Hi Can anyone tell me if the following is true. US banks by law can recind cheques once cleared within 7 years and there is no come back on the bank. In other words if you cash a cheque the originating bank of that cheque can during the time up to 7 years reverse that cheque and demand the funds back? I need to know as soon as someone can be kind enough to let me know. Much thanks in advance.
