[e-gold-list] Re: Goldnow privacy

2002-11-30 Thread svgisp

So here is where this all stands right now: The exchange provider has the
currency and will not exchange it until they have proof of ID. The client
wants his money back or the money exchanged.

The solution to all this tug-of-war between exchange providers and their
clients is a new business opportunity. I think we should have an
organization setup to offer escrow services to ensure that both parties
don't suffer from the current negative trend. It is definitely not going
to get any better if we can find a solution now. I hope some honest person
can step forward and put together something before it is too late!

[e-gold-list] Gigalance.com need exchange provider's help

2002-11-02 Thread svgisp
Guys,

I would like to introduce a funding option which will give some business
to interested Exchange providers. As some of you have seen gigalance.com
take e-gold, e-bullion, netpay and paypal as deposit methods. I don't take
checks or wires yet, but because I would like to promote the gold economy
I think it would be a good idea if exchange providers accept wires and
checks for us and in return fund our ecurrency accounts. This would work
perfectly because I have an internal transfer system which allows the
transfer of funds from one gigalance account to another (free of charge).

Please keep in mind that at this stage I don't know how much business it
will bring in because I have just started the business, but from the
responses I have been getting it could only get better.

Thank you.

[e-gold-list] Re: eLancers

2002-10-13 Thread svgisp

What is to stop a person from listing a low bid, getting the
project, creating a mock-up solution, and asking for 50%
before completing the rest of the project, and then simply
running away with your E-Gold? Would there be any real
way to track down the programmers that do this? (In case
you are wondering, this has happened to me twice now)

RE: There are three things that I can do to solve this problem.

1. All projects must be completed and buyer satisfied before any payment is made. No
50% down this time. I would simply not allow this.
2. If project is cancelled by the buyer after he had already chosen a programmer the
buyer will be charged a fee for wasting the programmer's time.
3. Remember that all request for withdrawals are processed manually, so with effective
administration the act of fraud can be avoided.

OH! Thanks for pointing out that it wouldn't cost $50K's :-)

[e-gold-list] Cash Cards Customer Service

2002-10-04 Thread svgisp

Guys,

I was just talking to a Cash Card International agent and I am very disappointed with
the way the guy answered me.

As far as I can tell he knows nothing about the cards he is selling..he doesn't even
know which bank issues the card. All he knows it that it is a bank in the USA. To make
it even funnier he started babbling off that they don't want to do business with
onyone who is going to use the card for illegal acctivities, as if I seriously
considering doing business with them. I guess that is his way of covering up the
little knowledge he has about the cards.

Anyway, in case anyone here is interested in their custom card program you can get
your company name or logo printed the cards at a wholesale price of US$20 per card.
Minimum order is 1,000 cards.

[e-gold-list] Re: Shhh... Here is a big secret!

2002-09-27 Thread svgisp

Patrick,

The thing is, that once the card has no personal details attached you can use the card
anywhere without leaving a trace back to you. If the resellers of the cards keep the
card records outside the US it becomes a very safe solution. Even if the issuing bank
is in the US!

If the resellers keep the records in the US then there is a big problem.

I see no reason why US bank cards shouldn't be used if they are setup the right way.

SV Gisp

Seriously, what difference does it make to withdraw funds from an ATM
machine with a US or overseas Debit card ?!?
As long as the Bank/Machine are linked to the correct network (CIRRUS or
other), it will work and make no difference whatsoever !
Besides, the machine will never know if the user is a US citizen or a
 foreigner either

I don't get the point about the « It draws less attention to you ».

 Patrick,

Hey all!

I heard that Mastercard made some changes to their anonymous cards. Before
you could get the cards without ID, but now you have to prove your
identity. Not only that they are not going to wholesale their card
anymore. You have to deal with them directly, so the card comes directly
from their office.

Anyone else heard about this?
