Plant growth chambers, long-term perspective on maintenance expense
Hello Ecologers, This is a question for anybody who has had long-term experience with reach-in plant growth chambers. I'm in a position of having either (1) a very expensive walk-in plant growth chamber that is serviced in perpetuity by our campus facilities or (2) a much more reasonable reach-in chamber where I will be responsible for maintenance. I would really appreciate estimates, anecdotes, etc. of what can/does happen to reach-in chambers over years of use and the costs of keeping them running.
