Thanks for the info. I have been doing K3 remote for 3 years and everything is 
working flawlessly.  I rent state IPv4 addresses and familiar with port 
forwarding.   I can turn the amp On with macros using the K3, but the remote 
Elecraft software KPA 1500 does not respond  / work.

I have been trying for several months to get WAN to work properly on my 
KPA1500.  Numerous contacts with Elecraft support have not yielded any 
solutions.
Even with the Amplifier left ON, the remote software will not connect properly 
on WAN.

There is some discussion that WOL (wake up lan) is the problem.  I know routers 
were never designed to pass WOL.  Again, even if I leave my amp ON, it still 
doesn’t connect.

My solution, thus far is to use Team Viewer with on a dedicated computer and 
connect via USB.  Team Viewer is much more stable and easier the Remote Desktop.

I am very disappointed this expensive amplifier doesn’t work as advertised…..

[Elecraft] KPA1500 remote connection not working.

I have updated the firmware to 2.0 and tried to connect using static IP 
address.  I have 5 static IPv4 addresses that I use for remote connection on my 
K3 and K3/O mini.  My remote K3/0 connects flawlessly.

However, I have always had a problem connecting to the KPA1500 remotely.  I can 
sometimes connect local when I am home, but can not remotely connect to the 
amp.  Remote connection shows it is connected, but I can not see any data sets 
or make any changes to the amp during remote.  Hence, not truly connected.

The AMP is connected to the internet with a static IP address and “Wakeup ON 
LAN Enabled.  Also I have port 1500 forwarded in my router.

 I am using KPA 1500 Remote software V. 1.0.22.0

I have contacted Elecraft support several times to get this resolved and 
unfortunately, I do not get any response from Elecraft support.  I am hoping 
someone here has a possible solution.

[Elecraft] KPA1500 - Static IPv4 address

Is it possible to set a static IP address on this amp?  I am thinking using one 
of my static IPv4 address and port 1500.  This would eliminate the local 
/server computer.
Or is there a better method of using remote K3, KPA1500 and RemoteRig?  I want 
to be able to use the KPA1500 app to monitor the amp.
