Well, spent a small ammount of time getting icons setup and associations
etc set and damn is it feeling good!

If it would be possible to crack this non-updating transparency I would
be amazingly grateful - or perhaps you couls remind me of where to look
to try it myself!

Also I was wondering is it possible to ignore a window class? I have
three blanks, the enlightenment pager etc and gkrellm, kinda fancy not
seeing them...

My main problem is of time -- massive internal exams currently going on, and
I'm helping to put together a system for a University Challenge style
science based intraschool quiz -- attempts to steal computer from compdept
has resulted in 6 laptops with the promise that I won't trash the hardrives
by sticking linux on them -- result: nfsroot laptops... running e17 (my
graphics library of choice... :D) Cambridge interview looms large also, but
hey, that's not nearly as important ;)

I should have some life back after xmas, and be able to work on it a bit
then... but until then, i'm afraid that a minor sabatical is in order.

Oh, and my english don is about to eat me for lunch.

 Obviously once the mouse os overthe current sensitive area it should be

 Sorry if this does not make sense - I tried to code it myself, but

 Also - did you get that blank window class issue fixed?

 not to worry man - we all have commitments!

 OK - changed the end of list marker to - and modified the while to:
 while((*cur)[0] != '-') {
sure -- but then if you have something with - as the window class...
if you change the list ending to just NULL, and change the test to just
while(*cur) {
things should work (better)

 is this what you meant? it works ;)
 (my ignore list ends with , -} )

if you can make sure that you've got an xapp.png _somewhere_ in your icon
paths, than the docker will use that png for windows that it can't recognise.
it's just that i'm usually working within a kde environment (oh, the
shame...) and kde iconsets tend to use xapp.png as the miscelleny icon.

 Thanks muchly,
 Andrew

using vesa + fbdev works... and even quite well. it's just that when i use
xcompmgr everything screws up -- it seems to be not wanting to play with
*anything*, xterms included. most surfaces get completely ignored and the
background peeps through...
