Problems of seeing 'Agents' tab

2002-03-08 Thread cslee

Hi,

I'm trying to install the following Script, and I face some problem.
To install the script, start the Microsoft Outlook client and logon as the
mailbox 'RplAdmin'. Select the inbox folder and right click on it to choose
the properties. If you are not able to see the 'Agents' tab you may not have
installed Microsoft Outlook 97 8.03 (or later), the Server Scripting add-on
is not installed in Microsoft Outlook 97/98 or the permissions are not set
properly. For more information please take a look at 'The Secrets of
Exchange Server Scripting and Routing
I cann't see the Agents tab on my Outlook 98. My Desktop OS is WinNT 4.0
SP5. I had added to 'Folders\System Folders\Events Root\EventConfig_Your
Servername' folder with 'Owner' permissions
MS Exchange Server Configuration is :
WinNT 4.0 SP6a, xChange 5.5 Enterprise SP4 with xChange Server
Events Services started

RE: Messages hanging out in email Q

Title: Message

There
were messages sitting in the Q and when you looked to see who they were being
sent to it was or something similar to that. I was thinking it
was mail being bounced back from Spam but was not sure. The other guy who
replied seemed to think the same thing. I did some checking on line and
looks like it was just a bounce back for Spam with a address that will not
resolve.

RE: SSL on OWA

2002-03-08 Thread Cross, Tom

That's funny, I took the class about 3 years ago and the guy who taught
the class, completely bashed Microsoft products, expecially Exchange. The
guy wrote a book about e-mail security, I believe his name was Lawrence
Hughes. I really got a bad taste from that class. Funny that they went to
Exchange right after Microsoft started putting Verisign cert authorities in
IE. At that time, they weren't in the browsers list to choose from.

Our current cert is nearing expiration. Verisign has also opted to up the
cost to almost 900 bucks. With aspirations of putting a cert on the
workstyle server as well as some secure web sites we are looking to an
alternative to verisign. With CA built into windows it seems like a good
alternative.

NETIQ is nice ..and EXPENSIVE! If you want something that will not take

not require that a service be pushed out to remote servers either. Plus
Larry, this guy will not get the nice price that NETIQ gives to the

Hi,

I have partnered up with a company that basically automates the
repetitive tasks associated with MS Exchange Administration.

Everything from fully provisioning new accounts by simply entering the

deletion at a later date, to moving mailboxes can be automated. The tools
are about 90% out of the box and 10% customizable to a particular

 Hi,

I have partnered up with a company that basically automates the
repetitive tasks associated with MS Exchange Administration.

Everything from fully provisioning new accounts by simply
 entering the
employee's ID number, to deactivating accounts and scheduling them for
deletion at a later date, to moving mailboxes can be
 automated. The tools
are about 90% out of the box and 10% customizable to a particular
organization's business rules making it very application specific.

If you are interested, drop me an e-mail and we can discus your
 situation. Thanks for your time.

  Question..
probably a dumb one.. (new to the
list and somewhat of a novice) I am getting the following error when sending
  out to the excite.com domain.

  There was a SMTP
communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system
  administrator.

  msmex02.domain.msmary.edu #5.5.0 smtp;554 Client host rejected:
  cannot find your hostname, [63.100.44.66]

  It
seems they cant resolve my server name address??? Not having trouble sending
to anywhere else but this domain though. I CAN send to the address from my
yahoo account so its something specific to this
  environment.

  Any
  thoughts??

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good site to reference for Lotus Notes to Exchange
2000 conversion?

I missed the technical chat that MS was putting on and can't seem to
find the transcript

Thanks,
