Try "resetimc.exe". Sorry. Deleting the file queue.dat is part of the process for removing an email that might be causing problems. What kind of hardware is in place on that server ? Any questionable/non-standard ? Apologies for my ignorance but I'm not offay with the term toast the queue.dat I deleted the messages from the imsdata\in folder and rebooted and seemed to do the trick. Those "files" you keep deleting are inbound email. It would be a good idea to look in the event log for the red circle things.
