The Trump faction and all the Hillary-haters sure will try to make it sound
like that. But it's almost certainly yet another nothingburger.

A few facts not available on Drudge:

--The FBI hasn't read the emails yet. They have to get a court order first. So
they have no idea what's in them.

--The investigation that was completed in July has not been "reopened."

--The emails have nothing to do with Wikileaks or the Russian hackers.

--According to a senior law enforcement official, there are no indications
that these emails were withheld by Clinton, her campaign, or the State
Department.

--There are apparently no emails *from* Clinton; they're from Huma Abedin *to*
Clinton.

On brain tumors: Survival rates can be improved if the patient takes

"Established/mainstream" medical professions in the context of patients
awaiting surgery; due to possible legal problems.
However, such patients have a legal right to consume whatever foods they
desire (in spite of opposition by the Docs). Just say "I'm taking this or
calling my lawyer and I'm outta here!". When you say "lawyer" to such persons,
they shrink a bit.
A last resort treatment could be radiation, in which case the dosage is
critical. but this could cause brain swelling and death. (happened to my

Given what science is now correlating (or) some of what is our direct

People, even in the uniform world of a particular belief system have different
values.

Perhaps some of these we are born with, and some cultural, some indoctrinated.

People who learn TM have a reason to learn, and even if they stick with the

believe everything the TM movement thinks they should.

If consciousness is the ultimate reality, then it already permeates everything
("infinity at every point"), everything is in its grip so meditating should not
have any wide ranging effect but would be local with the organism, a person

The evidence of wide ranging effects of meditation is not very convincing, and
personal belief and spiritual hype is not evidence of efficacy.

Meditators and non-meditators hold widely divergent views. People who want
Hillary for US President say it is a moral obligation to vote for her. The same
for those who want Trump for President, a moral obligation to vote for him.

And then there is Jill Stein and Gary Johnson, who also have supporters with
different values.

Meditation does not seem to alter these kinds of preferences, although the

You are correct. But this is really perfect for me because I have been
blocked, ostracized, criticized and ranted at by many FB posters from FFL who
fit this cartoon brilliantly. They're the ones who think Putin is a great
leader because he "has banned GMO's" in his country and has "avoided WWIII
twice" and that that silly Jill Stein (a severely inadequate and goofy Green
Party candidate compared to Canada's Elizabeth May) somehow is "the answer". It
boggles the mind.

Perfect, though I would question the label for Trump of 'climate denialist', in
favor of something like, 'raging, insecure, antisocial sex offender, with a
desire to destroy the world...'. It is a great cartoon, though there is nothing

Trump is basically a dim, spoiled moron. To assume that he knows what he is
talking about, or has coherent political ideas or strategy, is an overthought
fantasy. Imagine taking a poorly raised third grader and making them the
candidate of a major political party. There you have it. Anyone claiming
otherwise is wistfully adding brain cells to Donnie's very empty head, and
trying to imagine feelings he is incapable of.

Of course "we" don't. FFL is not a corporate entity and isn't set up to take
any positions on anything as a group, including:

However there seems a communal feeling by some here that is both spiritual and
postmodern scientific that Natural Law, quite evidently when enlivened by the
individual and group practice of effective transcendent meditation, will

And as to the P.P.S. below: Nobody agreed to refrain from posting about their
support for specific political candidates when they joined FFL, nor has that
ever been a requirement for membership.

P.P.S., This does not mean that we, as individuals, do not support specific
candidates. We may do so, offline.

If you want to make this a rule, you need to put it in the About section, and
you need to make sure anybody who joins the group understands that they're
giving up the right to publicly support specific candidates in their postings
here.

Moreover, imposing new rules on people who have been FFL members for many
years and who never agreed to those rules when they joined is devious, to say
the least, and reflects very poorly on the claimed status of this group as a
"spiritual" one, IMHO.

Not the customary analysis of politics and economics but a conversation about
spiritual questions. What did it mean for our spiritual lives?

We'll know November 9th but until then it seems anybodies guess. Conservative
Republicans don't like Trump because he's too liberal.

 Uh, no.

In fact he may be to the left of Clinton.

 Uh, no.

 They're buddies too

 Uh, no.

so sometimes I think they're playing a massive charade on the American people.

I saw the possibility of Trump being a Buzz Windrip (Slnclair Lewis's "It
Can't Happen Here") when he started running. So did others. I thought the
Sanders was a long shot

 ("the Sanders"??)

but he did well in his campaign. I think he should still be the Democratic
Party Candidate and we know to Clinton campaign did everything they could to
get him out of the race.

Actually, he lost (by almost 4 million votes).

Remember both Trump and Sanders are on the same page regarding trade
agreements, job loss and wars of empire. Clinton just tries to snow her
followers.

Trump is an ignoramus; Sanders is an unrealistic dreamer. Clinton is a wonk
who has oogobs of experience and a big set of well-thought-out policies. She
snows people because she's so obviously qualified to be president.

I'm worried about these polls for some of the reasons you state, but I do
not know which candidate the inaccuracies will favor. It seems highly unlikely
that Trump can win, but I will still be relieved when the day after the
election arrives.

I understand the Tweedledee-Tweedledum thing, but I think there are also major
differences between the parties. Obamacare, for example, has markedly reduced
the number of uninsured people in this country, which would never have happened
had Obama not been in the White House. The Republicans also have a large number
of climate change deniers, which the Democrats do not have.

LOL! And just how are these polls conducted? Have you not read that this
election year polls have been difficult to conduct because 1) millennials don't
have landlines which are called for polling and 2) older folks like me who get
those surveys have robocall blockers so we never pick up?

The election is tweedle-dee and tweedle dumber. Ho-hum. Welcome to politics
South American style.
