Is it maybe time for an unofficial global network of unrecertified TM
teachers listed on the net, via a dedicated webpage...? Could even
rekindle the "lost" spirit of the Movement and be open to feedback
and suggestions from meditators, for a change... call it iTM
(independent Transcendental Meditators..)

I'll try to translate some of it on the basis of Swedish:

Svend Trier, foredragsholder, skribent og meditationslærer. Har
undervist i meditation og bevidsthedsudvikling gennem mere end 25 år.
Er desuden stifter og leder af Quantum Seminars, som arrangerer kurser

Many other results, if you Google his

It's funny, but this is the entire reason I dropped into FFL. The
minute I heard the gossip about the new Enlightenment Burger franchises
I figured that there was now absolutely nothing preventing the old,
obsolted TM teachers from teaching TM anywhere they want, for free if
they want to. There is, after all, nothing left in the TM movement for
them.

I sometimes wonder if that is what Maharishi is actually trying to
achieve. For you teachers to become Maharishis since he always said
his goal was to create Maharishis. So you figure oout on your own
now how to create world peace. (nah, maybe not)

Oh yeah, soybeans boiled in hydrochloric acid at high temperature in
a factory... surely, a diet in tune with all the Laws of Nature.

Yep. And, apparently, it's a similar deal with Bragg's Liquid Aminos,
except added heat may not be involved. Although the recipe is secret,
with enough knowledge, it wasn't too hard for some science geeks to
generally figure out. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach breaks
proteins down into their free amino acids; same with soybeans soaking
in a vat of hydrochloric acid. The Bragg's folks then skim off the
resulting amino acid broth. But, what about all that residual
hydrochloric acid, you say? Neutralize it with baking soda (sodium
bicarbonate), forming sodium chloride in the process. Oh, so *that's*
why the stuff is so salty with no salt added.

Personally, I prefer wheat-free Tamari and traditionally cultured soy
foods, like tempeh, miso, natto, and sufu (absolutely wonderful
stuff: http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/koji.html#Su-fu )

It's true. Deepak was Mr. Wonderful at MUM. Standing ovations in the dome
every time he burped. Then he flew the coop and became the devil incarnate.
I heard that someone actually spat on him in an airport. Aren't cults

You laugh but this really is a workable idea. Esp. at a mall where people love to try new things. Spent a couple of days with Muktanandas descendent and one of the Mahamadaleshwars. They treated us like kings when we ate and we would get these plates that were like a mandala: they have all the food on the circular plate arranged in a circle. Across from any food, you had its opposite, that way if you ate something too spicy, across from it was something cooling. That way you could eat the whole mandala and get all the six tastes.

So at Uncle Mahesh's House of Health, instead of "value meals", you would have mandalas. Pitta Mandala, Vata mandala, etc. When you would arrive you could either fill out a quick doshic questionaire which would be in the form of a video game--or there would be a person to take your pulse. All the meals would be served on mandala plates which you could get doshically or custom made. The emphasis would be on smaller, healthy meals and getting all the six tastes, so you exhaust desire. It would be the ultimate Indian restaurant and all the auxiliary services would be immediately adjacent.

You'd have to be careful about massage. In some very conservative areas they have tried to ban massage parlors. Older people in particular associate them with sex--indeed here in Maine there has had to be a certain amount of public education on the matter. The controversy here was on whether or not to allow "hand release" (as it is called) or not. It is legal in most places to allow that (in Maine). And then you had to define "therapeutic massage" as some towns around here freaked when people tried to set up massage practices in towns--thinking it was actually borderline prostitution.

[FairfieldLife] Re: RE:BURGER maybe Natures support

2005-05-05 Thread johnlasher20002000
It seems to me that the advent of thousands of "uncertified" TM
teachers might be Nature's way of telling the movement that it does
not own this knowledge and that it even transcends MMY's approval if
he is obstructing it's spread. Nothing stops evolution. It's entirely
possible that the movement realizes there is nothing legal they can do
despite bluffs (common in legal proceedings) and they are trying to
tighten the loophole with new legal agreements in the recertification
program. Maybe God (Nature) wants a free maketplace of new meditators
who are taught by trained teachers who owe their allegiance to God
rather than an organization or guru.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: RE:BURGER maybe Natures support

2005-05-05 Thread Llundrub

Honestly, the whole thing is
Maharishi's way of saying he really doesn't give a shit what people do
now.  I had a dream last night where Maharishi walked by me eating Popeyes
chicken and I bumped into him by accident and he said, I'm not scared of
you.  And I thought, he seems sort of like a wimp even though he looks
tough, but then I said sorry because after all I did bump into him.  He had
seemed entirely unconcerned with anything other than what he was eating.

  maybe Natures support
It seems to me that the advent of thousands of
"uncertified" TMteachers might be Nature's way of telling the movement
that it doesnot own this knowledge and that it even transcends MMY's
approval ifhe is obstructing it's spread. Nothing stops evolution. It's
entirelypossible that the movement realizes there is nothing legal they
can dodespite bluffs (common in legal proceedings) and they are trying
totighten the loophole with new legal agreements in the
recertificationprogram. Maybe God (Nature) wants a free maketplace of new
meditatorswho are taught by trained teachers who owe their allegiance to
Godrather than an organization or guru.--- In
