Paolo, just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you. Don't
unsubscribe from Feline Anemia if you need it - I'm not sure but
assuming you're getting too much mail perhaps - if so, just change to
the no mail (web only) option and go read them off the web.

I hope you've got this straightened out by now, but you should be able to
just create a whole new yahoo address and rejoin the group. You and Rompi are

Ok, that should log you out of yahoogroups if you are logged in there.

Now, CLOSE all your browser windows.

Now, click here:
https://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register?.intl=usnew=1.src=ygrp.v=0.done=http%3a//groups.yahoo.com

Follow the instructions to sign up for a new account. YOU DO NOT NEED A
YAHOO EMAIL ADDRESS TO DO THIS. IT WILL MAKE YOU A NEW ONE! You can use your
existing email address as your alternate email address in the form, I just
created myself another yahoo account to test it, it did not tell me I
already had an account with that email, even though I do!

The person that moderates the yahoogroup will NOT have your password info,
as group owners do not have access to that info from yahoo. That is probably
why she is not answering you, because she can't help you! Here is the I
forgot my username and password page:

Hi Paulo,

You can use other email addresses for Yahoo groups to send and receive
posts. I use several different email addresses. I am new to Gmail, but this
is where I receive all my yahoo group posts including the anemia group and
others. The only problem is with yahoo and sometimes for weird reasons email
has bounced and you quit recieving it. You can got to yahoo to reactivate.
Someone elase may know where to find your security question for the groups.
I would just sign up again with a new user ID. There are some really good
Groups there.

Rompi has lymphoma

Paolo,
I'm so sorry to hear this diagnosis. Did you talk to your vet about
steriod shots to help Rompi feel more comfortable? I took Michelle's
advice and began giving Spencer .4cc of dex daily, (my vet wouldn't
prescribe the combo shots that Michelle suggested), and it brought him
back to almost his former self for the last month of his life. Steroids
stimulate the adrenal glands and reduce inflammation. I'm not sure what
the protocol is if you are going to do chemo. I seem to remember that
dexamethisone is sometimes used in conjunction with chemo drugs. Did
they give you any hope of removing the tumor? How old is Rompi? What
else did the oncologist say? Did he have a plan to help Rompi attain
remission? Are you on the list for cancer?

Steroids are most helpful with lymphoma, much less so with other forms of
cancer. When an animal has another form of cancer, dexamethasone may make them
feel a little better because dex generally increases feelings of physical and
psychological well-being and reduces pain. But it actually shrinks lymphoma,
which is part of why it has such a dramatic effect on cats with lymphoma, and
does not to my knowledge shrink other forms of tumors.

oh-- I did not see this post. Yes, the steroids help with lymphoma.

But lymphoma often responds very well to chemotherapy. Where is the mass,
and is Rompi felv+? Some cats go into permanent remission or remission lasting
for years with chemo. Depending on the kind of lymphoma (small cell versus
large cell) I can send you protocols.

Also I highly suggest you join the lymphoma group-- it is very active and
they will bring you up to speed on treatment options right away. I believe it
is
