[Fink-devel] denyhosts-py25

2009-07-12 Thread Robert T Wyatt
Howdy fink developers,

Murali is busy with other projects and so I'm interested in taking over
maintainership of denyhosts-py25. Should I simply submit a package on
the tracker with the new maintainer info?

Oh, I also need to subscribe to this list from a different address as
this one will be retired one day. Here would be my preferred:
chupacerv...@gmail.com

It's been a while since I've been active so any pointers are welcome,
Robert

[Here's Murali's response to the inquiry:]
I am working at a start-up company and have other things in hand as
well. I would be more than happy for my packages to be taken over by
other maintainers, as I cannot put any time in towards Fink.

With many thanks.

Best regards,
M.

You can manage your subscription info here:

List admins: it's nice to have the Gmane archive URL in the footer,
but it might be good to include the admin link as well.

Yep, and please add a comment stating that the previous maintainer has
given up on that package. It's probably a good idea to paste his
response too. Do not rely on Fink committers remembering mailing list

Sure. If you're just going to take over maintainership and not make any
changes, please file the new package in the Administrative category.

2009-07-12 Thread Chupacerveza
Wow, everyone is awake and on the ball this morning! I just started my
first cup of coffee!

Last question for now, I have X11-2.4.0_beta2 installed, it doesn't seem
to me that this should make any difference for package maintenance, but
I figured it would be better to ask.

Oh, I'm still watching last night's Gold Cup games so don't tell me who won.

Thanks so much as always,
Robert

Re: [Fink-devel] denyhosts-py25

2009-07-12 Thread Alexander Hansen
I'm in Europe for a couple more days so I've been awake for hours. :-)
It's possible that packages may build differently against your X11 beta
than against the released macosxforge X11 or Apple's official setup.
You don't have to downgrade, but be prepared for that possibility.

(Sorry, been a little occupied last few weeks!)
I've gone through and removed most of the gnome deps that dmacks
suggested, and for now explicitly disabled gts/devil/lasi until -nox is
more polished.

Once this is in decent shape, I'll work on -plugins to separate out the
extension language plugins.
Thanks for reviewing and thanks for your patience.

Meant just for the xyz variants that are also provided by perlxyz

[Fink-devel] incrtcl-20071231cvs.tgz link broken again

2009-07-12 Thread Jack Howarth
I thought this was fixed few months back. On x86_64 we need to be
able to download the incrtcl-20071231cvs.tgz file for the itcl-x86_64
variant and the itk-20071231cvs.tgz file for the itk-x86_64 variant.
Unless I am confused, David Morrison (after some initial confusion)
finally placed those tarballs on the fink servers (which aren't available
otherwise since they are custom cvs tarballs). We seem to have lost
access to those two tarballs so that building ccp4 is impossible now
on x86_64 fink (since it needs itcl/itk). Can we please get this fixed
again?
