I used to be able to ride on the canal bank to the ocean{I live in
Idaho,mind you} until some people put up a house next to it a few miles
down.well I was a bit miffed but oh well.it's a free country,I'd
just have to live w/it.UNTIL they parked [EMAIL PROTECTED] llamas{pardon me
llama lovers}right on the bank to"catch some rays?" Frjeda blew a cork or
two and we didn't get to the ocean that day! That being said I think Fjreda
would make a great endurance horse{as long as we don't run into those South
American"camels"}.she has tons of power and I have yet to feel a hint
tiredness . she's definitely more on the stocky side...{total
opposite from the sleek Arabian}..sorry got off on tangent.see

30 years ago,my 16.3h combined training horse spooked,bucked,slipped and
fell on top of me.I only know this because someone told it to me.I was in a
coma for 3 weeks,I started to become conscious very slowly{still waiting,by
the way} I was paralyzed on my right side and saw double.I did have one of
those "useless" helmets on and we were just trotting! To this day my entire
right side is numb and I  still see double.Head injuries aren't all that fun
but they're definitely harder on your family...and you don't have to be
knocked out to have one...just a little testimony
from linda{now you understand why I'm a little nuttythe one who not
only sees double but produces double[2 sets of twins]}

Just a side bar.but a while back I had a Connemara filly that didn't
have the drainage "system" that Steve is talking about.Her eyes were always
filling up w/goopwe tried many different ointments until some vets at
the  University of Davis figured out the problem,my memory is bad.but I
think they drilled holes in her skull to fix the
problem{weird,huh}.linda

I think mules are more self-preservation oriented than horses and definitely
less forgiving{they
remember every bad experience and then some} I've had a few mules and have
had a few Fjords.in my experience Fjords are definitely easier to work

I groom dogs...and to me the Andis clippers are by far the best.They are
light,don't break down
as much as the Osters,and they don't get hot as fast .I just received a

Merek.my name is Dwayne {Linda's husband} and I was in Viet Nam and
we never saw the kind of weapons you are talking about.Shot guns were
used,but in very limited numbers.They have small magazines,5-7 rounds and 00
buck does not chop the brush like the movies show!!! Paper and plastic
cartridges couldn't be used because of the humidity and rain, and the brass
casings are heavy.
