Fantastic Grey Fjord gelding for sale

2012-08-18 Thread Michael Misha

This message is from: Michael Misha misha...@eoni.com

Hi just letting everyone know I still have a fabulous 4yo grey gelding for
sale. He is super athletic, sweet, gentle kind loving and with plenty of
pep. He is sound and gentle, gets along well with other horses and is out of
my blue ribbon evaluated mare. His sire was a son of Flotren and out of a
daughter of Erlend. Emil is lightly started under saddle has excellent
ground manners and needs to be take forward. No bad habits! He loves to work
with people, I am just getting a little too elderly to keep him going at
this point and need to find him a home where he has a job. This Fjord is
drop dead gorgeous, silvery grey nice leg barring, supple and also has a
huge extension. He is 13.3 and looks almost like a clone of his grandpa
Erlend. Price is $3700 but I am willing to be negotiable to the right home.
You can see him here on my page. You would have a hard time finding a nicer
more athletic sweet funny and willing Fjord!

Hello Alaska fjord peeps!

I'm just passing along this super little fjord
gelding for sale up here. Follow the craigslist post to contact his current
owners. I used to own him, and I can provide more information and pictures
also. The ad doesn't really do him justice - he rides English/Western, drives
single or double, and packs. Rides out by himself, leads across bridges and
rivers, doesn't spook, has pulled farm implements and done parades. With
consistent riding he is fine with beginners. I would buy him back if I thought
I could use him enough, but I have a full barn now and a new business. I
originally purchased him because he needed to be rescued, and he came around
so nicely that I hated to sell him, but ultimately he is too small for us and
one too many horses. He is 15 now, but as far as I know has never been abused
or overworked, so he should have another 15 years of good use.  Thanks for
looking!

Fjord gelding for sale

2012-01-31 Thread kathleen jesse
This message is from: kathleen jesse kmje...@unm.edu

It takes a community. Several members of the RMFHC and 4 Winds Equestrian
Retreat and Wellness Center in Central New Mexico are helping to
facilitating the sale of four Norwegian Fjord horses from the Sangre De
Christo Youth Ranch. These horses are the offspring of Norwegian Fjord horse
foundation stock imported from Norway almost thirty years ago. The Sangre De
Christo Youth camp is a small scale working/teaching ranch that sponsors a
free summer camp to city kids offering them the opportunity to experience
riding and caring for horses, farming, milking goats, and an opportunity to
experience sustainable living principals in practice. The ranch was started
in the mid 80's by Dr. Bud Wilson and his wife Barbara. After teaching
cardiac surgery in India, Bud and his family moved to the ABQ area where he
helped establish the cardia-thoracic surgery program and UNM School of
Medicine. In 1985, the Wilsons purchased 700 pristine acres in Llama, New
Mexico to start their youth ranch. The Wilsons wanted a riding program to
be one of the main stays of the camp, and in researching various types of
horses, they learned of the hardiness, intelligence, even temperament and
versatility of the Norwegian Fjord horse. They purchased and imported two
stallions and six mares from Norway to begin their riding program. From
1985 until the present these horses and their offspring have been ridden,
driven, played with, etc. by countless children. The residential camp is
completely free. It is run on a small budget by a small staff, volunteers,
and the Doctor. Due to the extreme drought conditions on the ranch and the
rising cost of maintaining the riding program, SCYR needs to downsize their
historic herd of Norwegian Fjords.

Curly Moe (King Haakon x Vilde) is one of four horses for sale from the SCYR
herd. He is a 9 y/o 14hh dun gelding. Great, fun horse! Currently in
training with trainer, Patty Wilber. Nice gaits, great trot, well mannered,
will go anywhere on the trail. He needs an experienced, consistent rider to
complete his training . Curly Moe is $1500.

Know someone looking to get into Fjords? Looking for a second fjord, or
someone to teach you to drive?

SF Atom (NFHR sf-e-321-sg) is a great horse to learn to drive or ride with.
He's a 1991 model, but we all know that 20 isn't all that old for a Fjord.
He's 14.1, and somewhere around 1,000 pounds, a solid, tank of a Brown Dun.

He is strong enough to carry 300lbs with ease under saddle. Comfortable and
quiet with ringwork, doesn't get bored with it. Solid walk/trot, canter needs
work. Sane, sensible experienced driving horse. Real Buddha pony, quiet and
patient, but not dead. Goes great on trail with others, needs a confident
rider with some experience to go out alone. Goes pretty much anywhere driving.
Easy to work around on the ground. Will try grass diving on occasion, but he
is a fjord.

Barefoot, air fern food requirements, sound for the last 9 years. Great second
horse, gets along with anyone. Would be happy in a turnout situation, or in a
more traditional stabling situation, has never lived alone. UTD on shots,
coggins, teeth, feet.

Sold with all equipment, including harness and 2-person cart. He'll also come
with a treeless saddle that he goes well in, a bareback pad, his bridle, and a
blanket.

Tom is located in Central Massachusetts.

Asking $2,800 for the whole package.

farrier and loads in the trailer. Paul is willing, likes to work and
learns fast. He is 13.3 but at just 3 likely will grow some more. Asking

Edgar is a 5 year old, Registered Brown Dun gelding, he is 14.2hh. He
has been broke to ride and received the basics for driving from an
excellent (ok, the best) Fjord trainer summer 2008. He is Mr. Personality
and loves
people, loads into a trailer as quick as you open the door, steps out
when told, and is best pals with the vet and farrier.

Edgar handles nicely and loves attention but I am a very timid rider
with a 4 small children and a full time job. I've managed to have an
excellent rider out to work with him weekly for the past eight months
but she is scheduled for surgery and can't ride for several months. He
is in need of someone with riding skills and time to give him a job.

Nice Red Dun Fjord Gelding for Sale

2008-07-07 Thread ingrid
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi everyone!
It's been ages since I've posted here or over at the other Fjord List.
Life has been getting in the way of me having much down time.
I'm catching up on reading many conversations and enjoying all
the 'Fjord Talk' again!
The company my husband works for has shut down half of their business
and will be moving it's offices soon. Not sure if we'll be moving
along with them...holding our breath here. Anyway, they have dear
hubby traveling ALOT lately. Poor man has been to 10 states in one
month. The traveling will continue and with jobs as scarce as they
are, he can't exactly say no.
We purchased a really nice red dun gelding for him last year (before
things got crazy) so that he could go accompany us on the
trails. Solvin', his gelding, is 10 years old, 14.2 hds., sweet
dispositioned and loves going out on trail. At the moment, Solvin is
being ridden 3 to 4 times a week by a wonderful young lady...an
equestrian college student. Unfortunately she will be going back to
her university in the fall and Solvin will have no rider. I do not
have the time, as I have 2 other horses and a business to run. I
would like to have Solvin find a great home. His asking price is
$6500, but that is negotiable. He is registered with the NFHR NFR-L-
1171-G. Up to date on all things, Coggins and Health.Cert. provided.
Solvin's Photos (and a pastel portrait I painted of him) can be
viewed at my webpage: www.fullmoonfarm.us
Scroll down to the 'Gelding for Sale' link.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Handsome Fjord Gelding for Sale

2008-06-27 Thread Melissa Waters
This message is from: Melissa Waters [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a home for my gelding. Here is some information
about him. Please contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you would
like more information or pictures.

Bo Fjord's Leif is a handsome 12 yr old registered Fjord gelding. He
is broke to ride and very green broke drive. Up to date on
vaccinations, worming and farrier.

What Leif has done:
Primarily Leif has been used for pasture riding on the roads and
fields around my home for the past few summers. He doesn’t have a lot
of formal training but is a calm and steady guy. I boarded him at a
stable and took a month of riding lessons on him two summers ago. He
was great in the arena with other horses. I took a beginners driving
clinic with him and he did great, was harnessed and pulling shafts by
the end of the day. We have had him hitched to a cart a couple of
times and driven around our pastures but haven’t done a lot of work
with the driving.

Reason for selling:
Leif is really at his best when he is being worked regularly. He
could use some training to help him reach his potential as a riding
and driving horse. I currently do not have the time or expertise to
offer him what he needs.

Additional Items:
Leif comes with a complete driving harness, simple two wheel cart,
Wintec English saddle and bridle.

Thanks

Melissa Leif (who is tired of being bored!)

This message is from: Onna Kulaja [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi,
I have decided to sell my 10 year old gelding. He has had over 4 months of
Parelli and has been used as an arena horse for dressage. Scored 60 and 65
in schooling shows. He would have scored much higher, if an experienced
rider had shown him, but unfortunately it was me doing the showing. Ha.
Probably one of the cutes Fjords you will find. He is 13.2 and divided in
equal thirds, so to speak. Very athletic, can jump the blue barrels, and
loves the arena work. He is forward moving and after riding him consistently
will trot if you just think the word. Moves well off the leg. Needs more
work on the canter. He would require an experienced rider. I am selling him
below what he is really worth because of lack of trail experience. Up to
date on everything. He is also alpha in nature. Very sweet with ground
manners, farrier, grooming, etc, but must be head horse. Doesn't kick or
bite. If interested, contact me privately. Onna

Hi From Field of Dreams,

If anyone is looking for a BEEN THERE - DONE THAT great gelding, this fellow
is it. He is 11 years old and stands close to 15 hands. He is sired by
Woodland's Dustin and is out of Paradise's Celebrity, whom I sold to a 911
firefighter from NY City. Dusty has his Blue in Conformation and Gold
Medallions in Western English through the NFHR Evaluation. Celebrity has
two offspring that have earned performance medallions in Western so this
guy, Dustin's Ely, comes with credentials plus.

I sold Ely as a youngster to a gal from here in Eugene. I did his initial
training and we showed him with success. He also participated in an Expo in
Albany, Oregon. A few years later his owner moved to eastern Oregon and
took him on camping trips there. He most recently was ridden by two young
girls in jumping.

I have been riding him myself and have also used him for lessons. GEEZ, he
is nice! He has a great, cadenced jog, nice extended trot, slow collected
canter, a 'Gayle' stop, very correct rollbacks (AKA haunch turns). This guy
could be competitive in Open Pleasure classes. He is really a nice mover.

I would love to see him go to someone who would be interested in having him
evaluated at some point in the near future. He definitely has what it takes
to earn Gold Medallions!

His original owners have divorced so he is now looking for a new family. He
is priced to sell and is a real bargain at $5500.

He can be seen on my website under Winning Offspring. Take a look.

If anyone is interested in scheduling an appointment to see him or would
like more information, my barn number is 541-485-2730 or you can email me.
I don't 'hang out' by the phone very often since I spend most of my waking
hours riding and training so you may have to leave a message, but I will
return the call as soon as humanly possible.

2006-06-23 Thread dagrun
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have been training a wonderful gelding named Elvis :-) for owner Roni
Hale for the past two months. She has come to the conclusion that he
should go to someone who will give him a job and develop his full
potential. She may consider a trade for an older, rock solid trail horse.

Elvis is a tall guy (maybe 14h3, one day I'll get hold of a stick and
measure him). He is definitely an above average mover and is pretty lively
for a fjord - but not difficult to control. Nice straight legs and well
proportioned overall, good neck that thins off just right by the
throatlatch so that going on the bit is fairly easy for him. I think he
would be super for a serious dressage rider. After only a few sessions
under saddle he already cantered left and right lead several rounds around
the arena, in good balance. He also does nice flying changes when running
and playing. Not all fjords do that as easily. His trot is powerful and
metronome steady.

He has been on the trail in company (not alone so far) and enjoyed that a
lot. Other than that he is a typical fjord - friendly, cuddly, playful,
smart, barn favorite etc.

Asking price $5,000. Elvis is under registration. His sire is OTTAR 388-B
and his dam is ARLA 2218-B. Please email me or call me for additional
information at (206) 245 4189.

bursis? in Fjord gelding/for sale to flat home

2006-05-29 Thread Kim Nord
This message is from: Kim Nord [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi all:
I have an 11yo Fjord gelding I purchased last October. You may remember he was
in a difficult situation out to pasture at a horse trader's farm for six
months. After I brought him home he made a rather miraculous recovery from a
rather suspicious guy with bad feet to a lovely and willing trail buddy with
great (!) feet! However, although he was very sound for about three months, he
started favoring his left front going up and down our steep trails. He was
examined by our vet, our chiropractor, and our massage therapist and injected,
massaged and adjusted. After three adjustments the chiropractor said he was in
fine shape; after three massages the massage therapist said the only reason to
continue massages is because he enjoyed them so much! The vet diagnosised a
bursis (don't know how it is spelled but it is an injury to and inflammation
of his right pectoral) and put him on Adequan once a week for six weeks with a
follow up injection a month after the sixth injection, light work following
the sixth injection.
Yesterday (after the sixth injection) we put him in one of our pastures which
is accessed by a steep road (he had been in a barn paddock or our arena for
the last six weeks). I noticed he seemed to be favoring his left front again.
ARG!
My vet says he should stay sound with light work if we keep him on the flat.
What flat?!? We are in western NC in the heart of the mountains and don't have
flat.
From 13 horses I have finally gotten down to four, two Fjords and two
Friesians, and now only have three that are ridable (and the Friesians are
both very young and green). My fiance and my son both say we need to find him
a flat home and replace him with another gelding that can be ridden
immediately by novices (them and friends). Intellectually I have to agree with
them as the purpose of getting down to only four horses was so we could all
interact and bond with the ones we have and still have time to ride! But
emotionally I hate to sell this guy after what he has been thru. Although he
has not been here long enough for the rest of the family to forge a bond, I
have. He has had a rough couple of years and I sure don't want to make it any
rougher.
Andrew's foal date is 6/29/94. He is 14.3hh, and his sire is Valea's Lee, dam
is Fair Acres Chloe (Anvil's Torbjorn). He was a much loved stallion at a
breeding farm in (I believe Wisconsin)and was both ridden and driven by the
owner until he had a heart attack. While he was recovering his family
dispersed his herd as he would no longer be able to care for them. He was sold
at auction, gelded, and would have been resold at auction had he and one other
not contracted strangles. So the trader turned him out in the woods and just
let him make or break it on his own.
When I bought him Andrew was alittle aloof and reserved. That lasted about two
weeks. He now has the typical Fjord temperment, calm, thoughtful, willing if
slightly stubborn. He is somewhat affectionate, and very patient. He rides
smoother and more powerfully than my older gelding. When we first started him
on the trails he pulled to the left, but after geeing and hawing him on the
trails along with leg and rein commands he now steers straight lol. We just
worked him in the roundpen this morning and he is still short strided on the
left at a trot, presumably due to yesterday's steep road.
I am pretty sure his injury is due to rough play with my Friesian gelding as
he was trail ridden for a couple months last fall without incident. But it
does not seem he will ever fully recover as long as he has to navigate steep
ground, as he has been rested now for six weeks while being treated with
Adequan. He seems to have no discomfort at a walk, with or without rider.
I would love to see him go to a therapeutic center as he is very patient with
kids and elderly and would probably be the same with handicapped. I purchased
him for $2500, and that is negotiable to a good home. He has great feet, is up
to date on all vaccines and worming, and had his teeth floated shortly after
we got him last fall. He gets along well with other horses (my Friesian
gelding only gets along with another Friesian), and defers to my 22 yo Fjord
in the pasture. Please let me know if you have any interest, and also is you
know of the availability of a good trail Fjord of similar age.
Thanks,
Kim Nord

Fjord Gelding for Sale in Nova Scotia, Canada

2006-05-29 Thread Kevin and Verna Mattinson
This message is from: Kevin and Verna Mattinson [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello,

This gelding for sale is a colt that my husband and I raised and sold at a
year and a half
old. The woman who owns and loves him, unfortunately, is going through a
divorce and some financial issues, etc. and she has regretfully decided that
she must part with him. There's a lot going on in her life right now so I
offered to help advertise him for her. He was foaled on August 11, 2001
and has some very nice breeding, particularly on his father's side. His
grandsire is Konggard, who is a son of the famous Myrstein. His registered
name is WFF Ander, but she calls his Klay. Klay is quite tall, much taller
than any of my own so I would think he is 14.2 or 14.3 hh.We had him
here for a few months this winter and he is easy to work with and very
gentle, excellent barn manners, trailers very well, farriers very well,
etc., etc. He has had professional training and quite a bit of work put on
him. The trainer who started him competes in dressage so that is the kind
of start he's had. His owner says he needs a strong rider, a good child
could ride him but he is VERY strong (thru the neck) and needs someone who
won't let him take advantage. He sometimes will give a few little bucks
when asked to move out or into the canter. Then he generally settles right
down. His gaits are smooth and nice. He is definitely more than green
broke. The only problem she's ever had with him is that he is extremely
nervous of vehicles. He's been trail ridden with no problem, although she's
never ridden him with a group of horses, but I don't know why that would be
any problem. He is also had some harness training and has been ground
driven. He just needs someone to give him the time that she no longer can.
There is nothing negative about him, except his fear of vehicles. I think
he just needs someone with some knowledge and experience to overcome that
issue. He is healthy and has had no health or lameness issues or anything
like that to be concerned about. He's been very well cared for and up to
date on vaccinations, wormings, etc. He really is a lovely boy, very
pretty, and has loads of potential. She is asking $5500 CDN. For anyone
who wants more information, please write me and I'll connect you to the
owner or get more information for you, etc. I have some pictures of him I can
send you and she is planning to send me some
better pictures of him and some pictures of him under saddle as well, which
I can also forward to anyone interested.

Thanks,

Rare, grey gelding. 4 years old. Maple Tove, Maple Klaus line.Currently
13.3hh. Fantastic nature. Bombproof hack in traffic, not at all spooky.
Broken at 3 using Silversands Natural Horsemanship techniques, hacked and
then turned away. Brought back into work this year. I have concentrated on
his groundwork- yields etc. so he could be trained in a variety of
disciplines.

He has been to shows and been placed. Wonderful markings, zebra striped
legs. This Fjord has no problem cantering to. Ridden in a snaffle. Ideal
for LDR, WH or western. Boxes himself and travels alone or in company.

For sale as I am struggling with time to continue educating and riding a
young horse given arthritis, and I am looking to relocate to France.

£5,500 including 4 weeks professional western training, or the same with a
top BSJA rider. I will discount this if training not required.

Thanks

I have a 13 year old NFHR registered brown dun gelding that is 14.3
hands and drafty build. You can see his information and pictures on the
NFHR web site. His registered name is Skog 366-B but his barn name is
Thor.

He has been in Pony Club, ridden English western, dressage and jumped
by the gal I purchased him from. Thor has thousands of hours of trail
experience in the mountains and desert between me and his previous
owners. He has a bold personality, is agile and responsive. Thor
enjoys life and thrives on attention. He ia a joy to ride.

I had Gayle Ware do some fine tuning with him in 2003. Feel free to
contact her about him. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thor is current on all of his vaccines, worming, farrier and also has a
current health certificate and coggins.

He loads, clips, ties, cross ties, hobbles, bathes, etc.

The only reason I am selling him is because I have decided to keep the 3
year old filly out of my mare Reina. I don't have time to do 3 Fjords
justice.

Thor's price is $7500 firm. A good home is a must.

Wanted to clearify something to concerned fjord people out there.
There was a mention of a fjord for adoption , and somehow this fjord has made
it to several resue places on the net. This is NOT a rescue horse. Our
gelding Ben has been released to Second Wind Adoption program in WV for
adoption to good home. He will remain here on our farm under our care until
such time as he is adopted. Where, by the way, he is VERY WELL taken care
of. He has some ringbone, but is solid and can be used for light work for
many years to come.
We made a decision to release him to raise some funds for this org. instead of
selling him, because we want a good permanent home and also because we want to
help raise funds for Second Wind. We highly respect their work and have
adopted from them ourselves. If anyone wants to check the website out, it is
a great org. www.crossedsabers.com
Please do not pass this info on only in order to rescue this fjord. He is
just fine and will make someone a great hobby fjord in a good home!!! Feel
free, however, to consider adopting him and supporting a good org. as well.
Sincerely,

I know nothing about this horse but hope someone might be interested! I saw
him on a rescue site I was researching.

Darn, this looks like a horse I would like, but the adoption process is
absurd -- you have to keep in touch with the agency for 2-5 years before they
will
discuss selling it to you!

drafty, reg. with NFHR and Canadian. Association. About 14.1hh. I have had
all my three little kids on him bareback and leadline. AS with any fjord,
you have to establish who is boss as soon as they arrive, but then he is an
in your face super friendly fjord. The only hitch with him that a new
owner must understand is that he has developed ringbone on front feet. He
is still totally sound and would be fine for light jobs, and would be a
great!! backyard fjord for someone to love and enjoy. I have not yet
needed shoes on him, but shoes with pads will certainly help later. My vet
can be reference as we x-rayed him last fall. She knows all my horses well.
Adoption fee is $900.

Well trained fjord gelding for sale

2003-02-09 Thread ASigford
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello all! I have been off the list for some time, and have just
re-subscribed. Its been quite a year, including a broken right hand, followed
by a broken leg, my husband's layoff from work at the age of 53, and loss of
funding for my job. Dang!

So now I need to sell my wonderful horse, ** Rokida's Draugen **
He is featured on the Rokida Fjord web site: www.cpinternet.com/~rkdfjord.
Go to the sales list, then geldings. If you click on the little photo, it
will bring you to a collage of photos. Click on each of those photos to see
him Western, English, Draft and Cart, as well as a special link about his
gaits. He was bred and imprinted by Ron and Kit Davis. I bought him as a
yearling gelding trained him almost daily for the next 5 years (he is 6 1/2
years old). Some of you saw him at Blue Earth two years ago - he was the
horse that walked up to the row of scary flagpoles with flags flapping and
clanking in the wind - and pole bended around them like a good boy!

He is a calm, reliable horse that has proven himself in jumping (in a 2-day
show, he cleared 70 obstacles in a row, without a flaw!), trailriding (has
meet moose, bear, grouse and once, a timber wolf, without panic!), draft
(horse logging near chainsaws, crazy dogs, etc.) and pulls a sulky in fine
style. I will sign off here, but following my name is some information about
him for those who don't have time at the moment to visit the web site. I'd
love comments and suggestions! Reply to the list for discussion of interest
to all, and reply to me personally for detailed information. Thanks for all
the great support over the years!

About Rokida's Draugen:
(Marit x Valea's Lee) NFR #ROK-J-806-SG
14-2 HH, 8.5 cannon bone. Tall, drafty and correct! 6 1/2 years old.
Breeding: Draugen's sire is a proven, multiple time championship stallion in
conformation and performance. Marit is a dam of champions. Draugen has two
full brothers standing as stallions (Rokida's Haakon Rokida's Markus), as
well as three half brothers (Rokida's Jakob, Rokida's Knute Rokida's
Niklaus)- all highly evaluated. Attributes of this line include willing
temperament and trainability, soundness, great hooves, powerful build, good
bone, athleticism and consistency.
Draugen is a classic Fjord from championship stock that can do it all! His
outstanding rocking horse canter looks and feels great in the dressage
ring, western class, or on the trail - he is extremely well trained English,
Western, harness and jumping. But what lifts him out of the ordinary is his
warm willing attitude. This is a safe and reliable horse that wants to
please. A family AND competition horse! $8,000

Hello, Listers;

I have been asked to pass this information on to fjord enthusiasts :)

For Sale: fjord gelding - Rorik's Gunner
   14 years old
   Sire: Anvil's Rorik
   Dam: Nipa
   14 hh
   Price: $3500

This horse is currently in Minnesota with the owners brother. Horses owner
lives in Montana.

Gunner has been used in the past 4 years as a riding horse and pack horse in
the mountians. Previously, he was owned by a woman who drove him.

I have seen this gelding - he appeared quiet, willing and sweet. During the
short time I spent with Gunner I sensed his driving skills are more fine
tuned than his riding skills. However, 5 of us rode him around an arena,
various skill levels, with a bit in his mouth that did not fit :(- he was
totally ho-hum with all riders.

Believe it or not I think he is a bit underweight!! (But then, I am used to
a 13.3 hh, 1200 lb fjord :) )

If you or someone you know is interested in this horse please call:

Ralph Mason

Hi Everyone, I'm sure some of you know we are selling out gelding Ike,
because we have so many horses now and want to concentrate on the training
and showing of the mares and foal. But for those of you who don't know, here
is his info:
Igen 218
Simonette Fritz 355
IKE Loke 215
Brawn 66 - Kinnikinnick 45 Sammi 11
Inga 166
Hedda 67 - Buck 34 Majbrit 32

Ike is coming 13 this year, Was raised on a dude ranch all his life, He is
The best trail horse I have ever run across, He would make a great weekend
trail horse, a great lesson horse for beginners, and pack horse, Ike is
between 14.1 and 14.2 on the stocky side, but NOT overweight, His ground
manners are impecable, (and I cant take credit for that, we tend to spoil
them rotten) He is not an In your pocket Fjord. He loads well, and
ponies well and packs game too.

Now his down side, (and they all have them) He doesnt particulary like
clippers, and he has a slight case of arthritis in his one front bottom
joint. He has had it since we have had him and it doesnt slow him down and
is only detectable to a well trained eye. But we know, so therefore, we will
tell any buyer .
He therefore wouldnt be a candidate for jumping, or lots of loping and but
is fine for walking and trotting and weekend trail rides. the vet has
checked him out throughly and feels that this isnt a serious problem by any
means, We give him MSM on a daily basis, just as precaution, and it makes us
feel better.
Ike does thrive best on daily attention and weekly riding, otherwise he can
seem standoffish

We really need to sell him as we are out of room and also breeding season is
upon us and I have had several deals fall thru on him, (so please dont
enquire unless you already have the funds) We have priced him low enough to
allow a first time Fjord buyer to afford him, or someone who needs another
reliable horse for beginners

The price is $2200.00 american. and that includes a coggins and travel
certificate, all transportation is the responsibility of buyer, although my
husband is willing to bring him, with reimbursement
If you know anyone please forward them my email and phone ##
