Thanks Gayle for the Dole Horse plug. She is a fun horse to play with and a
trot. wow. Hey. for discussion sake. Maybe the Fjord Shows can allow other
Norwegian Breeds to play with them. (maybe?)

I know at TURLOCK, we invited all Scandinavian Breeds to show with us. and
the Icelandic ponies kicked b___ at times. We had Fjord only and Icelandic
only classes and it made for a great show. ANY WHO. that show died because
the Festival itself died. So sorry. talk about doing two shows in a row.
Turlock was 2 weeks after Libby. We drove to one stopped to do laundry and
drove to the other. (ah the good ol' days!)

OK TEE SHIRTS.. I created a great new one on our www.cafepress.com/FjordsUSA
website... You have to see the design to enjoy it. but it goes like this.
wakefeedeatriderestdrivesleep (next line) repeat (next line)
norwegianfjordhorse . The words are all different colors so you can read it
better. it says. wake feed eat ride rest drive sleep repeat norwegian
fjord horse . Check it out. It is available in lots of styles..

Proceeds are still going to the vet bill of the one colt we rescued. :-)

Have a great holiday weekend!

Tee Shirts Refunds

This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

To those of you who might be wondering where your tee shirt refunds
are I own an explanation. When it became obvious I wasn't going to
pay the printer immediately, I parked the money in a separate
account to keep it from being commingled with my other money. After
I promised to send refunds I discovered I couldn't practically
access the account until last Tuesday, June 15th. I've now
transferred it to my checking account, and will be writing checks

This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Sorry, sorry, sorry!! I wish to apologize to those of you who have
written me asking about the tee shirts in the past couple weeks. I
haven't been ignoring you, my computer went south about a month ago
and I've been virtually without email since. The printers finally
got their new four color press installed in February, and I finally
got things settled with the the owner of the shirt printing company,
who had second thoughts about reprinting the order, about three
weeks ago. Unfortunately, I was unable to finalize the print run
until today when I got my computer back up because the numbers of
shirts of each size I needed is on an Excel file that I didn't have
a backup of (yeah, I know). Anyway, got the computer is fixed
finally, I got the file, and today we set a print run for next
Tuesday or Wednesday. I promise I will start filling your long
overdue orders by the this time next week. Thank you all for your
patience, I'm very sorry this thing has dragged on so long. If I'd
known it was going to become such a hassle I never would have gotten

Tee shirts

2002-12-01 Thread Steve McIlree
This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Several folks have recently inquired about the status of the tee
shirts. As I explained in my message about the problem at the
printers, the new press was not due to be delivered and installed
until sometime late in December. I have really not checked on whether
or not that schedule still holds as I have been visiting Cynthia in
New Mexico. Since I am not in Omaha where the printer is there seems
to be little use being concerned if the press gets in ahead of
schedule, because I'm not there to pick up the shirts and ship them.
I will be returning to Nebraska shortly after the first of the year
and will make the shirts one of my first orders of business.

I thought I would give one last effort at getting enough orders to

Tee Shirts One More Time

2002-06-26 Thread Steve McIlree
This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Well, I hate to keep bugging everyone, but I need to see if there
are a few more folks who want FjordHorse List tee shirts. I'm
getting close to having enough pre-orders to actually make a print
run, but I still need a few more. I know it is always real easy to
put off until tomorrow doing something like sending in an order and
then completely spacing it. So I'm going to give the procrastinators
one more change to get a pre-order in before calling the whole thing
off. The prices quoted are based on a print run of 100 shirts; right
now I have pre-orders for only 70 shirts. I suppose I could talk to
the printer and get new pricing for the shorter run, but I hate the
idea of getting everyone to verify that they still want shirts at
the new price, and then adjusting for those who cancel, and maybe be
looking at still a higher price, etc. So, if a few more folks want
to pre-order a shirt or two, I can get this thing rolling.

So, here are the facts and numbers on these tee shirts again based
on a print run of 100 shirts. They will be printed on a high quality

So far there has been some interest in getting FjordHorse List tee
shirts. However, the number of pre-orders is about a third of what I
need to go to the printer. If you've seen these shirts at Fjord

will be better in white. Surely some folks must have had the same

There seems to be some interest in having a new print run of the
FjordHorse List tee shirts. It is fun to wear one of these shirts to
an event where other Fjord folks are present, because they help to
identify people who you've only met before in cyberspace. The last
time, I went with natural colored (cream) shirts, but after seeing
the results on a white shirt I believe that is better looking. These
shirts will be printed on a high quality white 100% cotton tee. The
four color silk screen picture is the Fjord checking E-mail on the
computer, created by Pat Holland, which is featured on the List home
page (http://fjordhorselist.com). Over the picture are printed the
words "FjordHorse List" in black. The price is $11.95 for sizes
small, medium, large, and extra large. The price for 2X is $13.45,
3X is $14.95. All prices are US dollars and all orders will have a
shipping charge of $5.00 for up to three shirts, and $7.00 for four
  to six shirts.

If anyone is interested in getting shirts, please contact me by
private E-mail ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). DO NOT send money at this
time! I will need to get a minimum number of orders to get this
pricing on the shirts. Right now I'm trying to see if enough are
interested to make a print run feasible, and to get an idea of what
assortment of sizes to get. When I have enough pre-orders to go to
the printer, I'll get back to everyone with instructions on sending
  your payments and shipping instructions.

With the season of shows and other gatherings of Fjord folks rapidly
approaching, I thought I would float the idea of doing a new print
run of FjordHorse List tees. For those of you who didn't get a shirt
last year, but saw them at Blue Earth or Libby and want one, here's
your chance. For those who have joined the list since the tee shirt
printing, the shirts are printed on a high quality natural colored
(cream) 100% cotton tee. The four color silk screen picture is the
Fjord at the computer, created by Pat Holland, which is featured on
the list home page ( http://members.home.net/smcilree/ ). Over the
picture are printed the words "FjordHorse List". I can go back for a
new print run with a much smaller order than I needed last year to
pay for screens. The price $11.95 for sizes small, medium, large, and
extra large. The price for 2X is $13.45, 3X is $14.95 and 4X is
$15.95. All prices are US dollars and all orders will have a shipping
charge of $5.00 for up to three shirts, and $7.00 for four to six
 shirts.

If anyone is interested in getting shirts, please contact me by
private email. I need orders for at least 25 shirts in sizes other
than extra large to do a new print run.

FjordHorse List Tee-shirts - Final Word

1999-06-17 Thread Steve McIlree
This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

O.K. Here's some solid, final pricing on the FjordHorse tee shirts.
I talked to the printer today about colors other than white. What we
came up with as an alternative is "natural", which is an unbleached
cotton color. It's a very light cream color, kinda light dun. When
we get back from New Mexico, I'll put a picture of the natural shirt
and a white shirt up on the web. Those are going to have to be the
choices, as anything else would really interfere with the picture.
The shirts, by the way are Haines Beefy Tees, 6.1 oz. 100% cotton.

We have enough people wanting shirts to set a final price now. This
is cutting real close to the bone, so if many people back out be
cause of the limited color choices it will hurt. I was hoping we
would get orders for 100 shirts, but at this point we have only 70,
so the price is going to have to be $11.95. That's for sizes S thru
XL. For XXL there is a $1.50 upcharge, for XXXL $2.50 and for L
$4.00. Shipping and handling will be $5.00 for 1 to 3 shirts, and
$7.00 for 4 to 6 shirts. There was only one order larger than that,
and I'll contact that person directly.

Checks can be made to Steve McIlree, and sent to:
2852 Martin Ave.
Omaha NE, 68112-2855

I won't be going back to the printer until we get back from New
Mexico, so if you haven't yet ordered a shirt you still have nearly
  a week to do so.

FjordHorse List Tee-shirts

1999-06-14 Thread Steve McIlree
This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The interest in List tee-shirts has been very good. I'll answer a
couple of questions that have been asked repeatedly. The shirts will
be short sleeved in a very high quality cotton, probably white in
order to not interfere with the colors of the picture. There will
also be lettering on the shirts indicating they represent the
FjordHorse List. Someone suggested a "fjord colored" light tan for
the shirts; that might work with the colors and I'll check what the
printer thinks if such a color is available. Although quite a few
shirts are wanted, there are still not enough to get the price down
to what I think most folks would consider reasonable. If you've been
putting off ordering a shirt, please do so to get the numbers up.
I'd like to get these made and shipped in time for list members to
wear them at Blue Earth. To see the design, go to:

This message is from: Steve McIlree <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Last year I asked Pat Holland of Green Valley Farm if she would
design a logo for the list. Pat, who is a very talented artist as
well as the trainer at Green Valley sent me a really charming
picture. She has kindly consented to the use of the picture on a
Tee-shirt for list members. I have looked into having the shirts
made, using 4-color process screening. The price will be entirely
dependent on how much interest there is in purchasing the shirts,
because there is a hefty setup charge to be absorbed, but hopefully
it could be under $11 on a good quality shirt. Have a look at Pat's
design at http://members.home.net/smcilree/shirt.htm , then let me
know by private e-mail if you would be interested in buying a shirt
or shirts. Also, if you could let me know what size(s) you would need
it would help in putting together an order.
