[Flexradio] not really a bug, but I posted it anyway
not sure what area to put this in but I found something interesting. I'm rtty contesting With Writelog. Writelog has a feature that the mouse can adjust frequency. Very small increments but you can can tune in a off frequency station. I snap tuned in a signal (put the crosshairs on the signal and click the mouse) That moved me to the rtty mark space but I was off a tad. The Writelog mouse wheel adjustment did not work. I had to disable the snap tune crosshairs first. For the cheapskates out there (sri, that was a joke), Microsoft is sponsoring "Installfests" in various locations in conjunction with local dotnet clubs where they hand out the 90 trial of the professional version of VS2008 along with a link and code that will get you a free version of the pro version via snail mail. Of course, you listen to abt 30 minutes of sales pitch (and it can take an hour to install VS2008 pro even on a fast machine, but it looks really nice. Just the javascript capabilities alone make it very interesting. Unfortunately not every signal you see on the ham bands are perfect. I frequently see signals with quite a bit of energy in what should be the opposite sideband. Surely you do not mean 500KHz(500 kilocycles), maybe 500 Hz (Cycles). [Flexradio] Opposite side band
In my SDR-1000, I see (and hear) information that I believe should no be there. Rather than the signal dieing at the center frequency, you see significant energy for about 500 kc in the opposite sideband. I have checked and double checked cables, etc. Anyone have any ideas? This is a 6mo old unit that has always been this way, but now I am starting to clean up what I would consider to be undesirable issues. Yes, that is the way to do it (if you want it that way). on the PC board next to the low power plug is lot of space to put in an extra relay. (in the 4 board version of the 1000) I do not see what function it has to put 2 antenna's in parrallel using the low power plug, If you want to experiment with 2 antenna's connect them both together to the high power plug (maybe using some phasing network) Than you know what you are dooing, not using the internal wiring of the SDR1000.
