Re: [Flexradio] Virtual Serial Port
Scott, Do not know of another option.. You can keep Vista 64 in Test Mode and you do not need to use the F8 key at boot up.. He tells you in the VAC Help files.. That is the way I run mine. 73, Dudley WA5QPZ Scott Myers wrote: > I have just bought a new computer and it is loaded with 64 bit Vista. I > figured out the work around for VAC using F8. Re: [Flexradio] F5000 - 1.3.0.6 to 1.3.0.0 upgrade question
Changing firmware rarely has anything at all to do with the calibration of the radio. That is usually PowerSDR dependent. And if a calibration is necessary, you will be prompted to do so from PowerSDR. If you are not upgrading your version of PowerSDR and just upgrading the firmware, then no calibrations are necessary. -Tim -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Stu Phillips Sent: Saturday, September 19, 2009 12:36 PM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] F5000 - 1.3.0.6 to 1.3.0.0 upgrade question Is it necessary to re-run the receiver calibration tests when upgrading a 5000 from 1.3.0.6 to 1.3.08? Re: [Flexradio] antenna switching and receiver 1 & 2 odd behavior
"I'm waiting on the tool to allow me to unscrew the cover to look but in the meantime I thought I'd ask the group if there are any thoughts about this." I use a small screw driver as opposed to the Torx driver. Make sure the ribbon cable is attached to the HRFIO board and the mini coax connectors are connected to the proper inputs. Use both of these documents to verify the cable routing http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=240 http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=220 Also make VERY certain that the mini coax connectors are seated properly. They can be a bit of a challenge to get properly seated because of their very small size. You have to "feel" the snap. If the cable are routed properly and you have done a database reset, but you are still having problems, contact Dudley with FlexRadio Support so he can do some additional diagnostics on the HRFIO board. -Tim -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Jim Sent: Saturday, September 19, 2009 10:08 AM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] antenna switching and receiver 1 & 2 odd behavior The following is with both receiver 1 and receiver 2 tuned to 1.590 Mhz - a strong broadcast signal It seems to me that the antenna module is not properly switching or that things aren't connected properly inside the radio .
