[Freevo-users] Tweaking a specific channel frequency?
I'm experiencing some issues with my channel 5 (NBC) on my Freevo install ( 1.7.3) after switching it to analog cable (us-cable-hrc) from broadcast (us-bcast). I reconfigured and updated my listings from schedule direct, and the other channels are working fine. My TV picks it up fine, but when I try to view it or record it, this particular channel is incredibly fuzzy. I'm thinking its a problem with a frequency specified in my TV.xml file. Is there any way to tweak this value in the local_config.py file? For reference here is the channel listing from my TV_CHANNELS variable: ( ' I11670.labs.zap2it.com', '5 WMAQ', '5' ) Regards, Michael - This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges. Freevo has been added to the list of Approved Applications on schedulesdirect.org, so Freevo users may subscribe to the service and select Freevo as the application. PAY | http://www.icetv.com.au/ Costs about AU $100 per year but is the most reliable xmltv guide I have come across excusing some recent inaccuracies (I have been using this for the last 2 years). FREE but not recommended | A heap of web scrapers including a couple I have made myself. The problem with these is that the host web source doesnt really like people scraping so they change the site often. This means that the scraper scripts often need rewriting to keep up and it just isnt worth it. Go pay for a good source unless there is a free one that is reliable. [Freevo-users] Fxd file generator/TV episode plugin
From earlier post on FXD files... On 3/15/07, Christian Lyra [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: There´s a imdb plugin. I guess it´s enabled by default and works great for movies. You just have to select the movie, press 'e' and choose the imdb option. BUT it doesnt work for episodies of a series. I already asked about it, and someone (me? you?) have to write a plugin to retrieve episode info from say ww.tvrage.com or somewhere else who could understand the S03E01 thing. -- Christian Lyra PoP-PR/RNP I wonder how easy it would be to do this... does tvrage.com have an api that you can call to retrieve this or would you have to do a screen scrape? A plug-in that would automatically tag the episode name from something like s02e03 and do the reverse - name the episode s02e03 based on the name from the tv-guide would be AWESOME :) I guess I should start looking into the wiki for plugin authoring tips. -- Michael Labowicz http://www.labowicz.com/blog/ - Take Surveys. Re: [Freevo-users] few questions about fxd files
Has anyone ever done an online .fxd file generator (or one in the webserver)? It would be nice to have a form that you fill out with the relevant info and have it spit out a usable .fxd file... Mike On 3/14/07, Christian Lyra [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi there I just found another way to do it. Not sure if this is the best way. I had the feeling that this could be done with folder.fxd files, so here is a minimal one: ?xml version=1.0 ? freevo folder title=Firefly info contentA Sci-Fi serie that mixes space ships with old western/content /info /folder /freevo There is a atribute cover-img to folder tag as folder title=Firefly cover-img=firefly.jpg, but dint worked for me. As Ducan pointed, droping a cover.jpg inside the directory can do the trick. I guess that you will want to do a fxd file for each episode, so you can have plot information for each of them. -- Michael Labowicz http://www.labowicz.com/blog/ - Take Surveys. Earn Cash. Re: [Freevo-users] 12 hour time in TV Guide
Note that you need to change the following for 12 hour time: TV_TIMEFORMAT = '%I:%M %p' This is covered here: http://www.python.org/doc/current/lib/module-time.html On 3/9/07, Duncan Webb [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On Fri, 9 March, 2007 6:46 am, Tom Weichmann wrote: Hello, I've been looking around for this and cannot come up with the answer.
