[Freevo-users] Freevo DVD encodingserver pluging usage
hi, I tried to follow the information in following page as well as in "freevo plugins -i video.dvdbackup" http://doc.freevo.org/MoviePlugins/Encodingserver I was able to start the encoding server, I see http://doc.freevo.org/MoviePlugins/Encodingserver I see there is one process running in same name 5971 1 0 17:54 pts/200:00:02 python /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/freevo/helpers/encodingserver.py Now the basic question I have is I don't see any option once I go to DVD. I also pressed E button, however I see ohter options there, but not ripping/encoding option. How do I start the encoding ? Where the encoding file is going to be ? [Freevo-users] Getting exception "Info instance has no attribute 'mmdata'", while playing DVD
hi, I upgraded 1.8.2 using source install from following page. So, recommendation is not to update from source install ? My initial install was also using source install, I update to new since there too xine.py and vedioitem.py were not synch. Re: [Freevo-users] Desperately seeking a motherboard that doesn't suck
I use following motherboard (AMD based though). I too use SPDIF, I installed linux driver from Realtek for my Realtek ALC889A audio chip on the board. So my SPDIF is working great with my receiver using Fedora 9 and 8. GIGABYTE GA-MA69GM-S2H AM2 AMD 690G HDMI Micro ATX Fedora 9 has some issue i.e. I have hard time to switch on the SPDIF. I end up adding following line in /etc/rc.local "/usr/bin/amixer set IEC958 unmute" So I guess Realtek ALC889A or similar model from Realtek based any mother should be fine for SPDIF(since Realtek seems to understand Linux importance ). Re: [Freevo-users] Starting up freevo, when fedora comes up
The sound works using /dev/dsp , if I start from command line manually. How the issue is only if I start from /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Look like now things are working fine. I tried this i.e. adding following in /etc/rc.d/rc.local su -l sandip -c "/usr/bin/freevo -fs" since my freevo is not set for root user. I still see that there is no sound. [Freevo-users] Starting up freevo, when fedora comes up
hi, I tried following on my fedora init.d /etc/init.d/freevo prog="freevo" start() { echo -n $"Starting $prog: " if [ $UID -ne 0 ]; then RETVAL=1 failure else daemon 'su -l sandip -c "/usr/bin/freevo -fs $OPTIONS"' fi; echo return $RETVAL } This I just copy pasted from snmd example. Freevo starts, but there is no sound. I think OS still not done with full initialization so sound is not available for freevo. Did any one tried starting freevo as soon as system(linux) comes up. [Freevo-users] Can I print harddisk temperature where free disk status is shown ?
hddtemp on linux gets these value. I think I want to know my hard disk temperature too since it is very important for me to keep my HDD healthy. If it is getting too much heated up then I would like to get alarm or shut the system down. Recently I have many HDD issue (300gb+ in 2 years) and I end up loosing data. Most of those loss was due to not having good air flow around the hard disk. Can someone point me the python code, where the free space logic is there ? [Freevo-users] Picture link doesn't display directory names
hi, I setup Freevo for my all movies, songs and photos. It is working pretty well. However I see that directory name is not coming under the directory icon. If I take the cursor selection to particular directory icon then you can see the directory name. However I have organized my 9GB photos in directory structure i.e. each my trip/even is named as directory and then corresponding photos are placed. Beside this I see that pictures are not shown in the original size, I have 42 LCD TV and I see that all my photos are stretched. i.e. I look more fatter in all photos :) Is there a way to switch on slide show ? I see around 20 % photos are displayed reverse. I use left/right arrow to correct that. Is n't there any way the tools can find that automatically. I see those photos are always shown up in windows. Don't know how come windows become so intelligent. so far I am pretty happy with freevo, thanks to freevo community. Sandip - Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
