Doews anyone have a reason to avoid updating the GIMP-print that comes built into OSX to the OSS 5.x version, with 10.4.1? One quick reason that comes to mind is if the one that comes with 10.4.1 works. No, seriously. Don't mess with stock if stock is working. OSX Photo handling and general question.
The old iBook died and we're making the switch to OSX for the first time on a G5 machine. What is good photo-handling software? We need to batch-name-change and size-change, and basic editing. Been using Camedia 2 and PhotoDeluxe which lack some things but have been all we really had to have. Also, what is a good manual for the idiot class (me) to get OSX feet wet. Re: Lombard OS X Install
In a not so small nutshell, I have a lombard and have installed OS X via a firewire external HDD. All is grand. I repeated the process on a slightly smaller (30 vs 20 gig) and it is an abject failure. The problem seems to be the smaller HD, as the larger HD works fine. I suspect the OS install is the culprit, though I can't tell you why. At any rate, help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a Lombard 400 with a 18 Gb drive (IBM DJSA-220) running 10.3.9. Laurent, Why not suggest these navigation improvements to the developer directly? In my experience. I've found him very responsive to bug and feature requests.
