I believe in Florida that companies can get Apple Care but individuals 
cannot. I would go back to Powermax and see if they have an extended 
warranty program.

Any 802.11g base from any manufacturer will work. Personally I use

Ti Books always have and always will have terrible wireless reception. 
The poor reception has to do with the books titanium shell. The only 
way to get decent reception is to use a wireless card that plugs into 
the computers PC Card/ CardBus slot and has an external antennae. The 
only other way to improve the reception is to remove the titanium shell 
and cover it with something else.

Re: Do Wallstreet batteries last longer than a year?

I infrequently use the battery, like once every 2 months,  but it
can't hold a charge.  I hate forking out $150 every year for the
battery.  I'm I missing something, or do they normally last this
short?
Laptop batteries are supposed to be used so if your not going to use 
battery power for months at a time, take it out of the laptop.

one up at like Best Buy. You should be able to configure it through 
your web browser.

Buying an airport card is not an option for you. Any of the Orinoco 
cards should work for you. Wireless is the only way to go. Good luck.

$600 US is a steal for that machine, grab it and decide what to do
later.
Even if it is only in good shape it is a better machine than the 900mhz 
i-Book. First it has a G4 chip, you can put in up to a gig of ram, it 
has a PC card slot, and an available expansion bay. For $600 I would 
buy it in a heartbeat.
