I Can't remember if it works with Nvda off hand (I believe it does), but it 
certainly will work streight out of the box with sapi, which is how I played 
it myself, so no worries on that score.

Remember that when you are in the shop, if you just type order  
it will tell you about the item.  Then when you are sure that it's the

That map that I gave at the beginning of this message will be of help 
here.  The branches you can carve if you have a knife or dagger, and you 
can make things with them.  You won't see anything really great until 
you pass 100 in the skill though, but remember that no matter what you 
make, you can sell it at the markets usually and make back some riln.

This mud uses rounds for combat.  So when you type battle, it goes in 
rounds.  Watch your combat next time, and you'll see what I mean.   As 
an example, if you've ever played Final Fantasy XIII, it's exactly like 
that.  You make an attack, wait, and make another attack.  Battle will 
have you do this automatically, same with barrage or hurl, or, you can 
do it manually with attack.  Remember also that you have kick, shove, 
flank, and press.

Get your herbalism up to 50 and you'll be able to make poultices. You 
can also use the food items you find to make some money along with the

items when you cook to give your food flavor.  Remember also that you 
can always ask over esp for a lesson in whatever skill you're trying to 
learn to help you raise it faster.

Ah, so that was you yesterday.  I was on Cullen talking to you over 
question.  The RP can be casual at times, or heavy at other times. All 
depends on who you talk to.  I'm getting into doing RP with people 
before I give them lessons.  Some do this, some just enter the command 
and walk away.  Also, if you want more RP, go generate some.  Talk on 
gray, and try and get some people together doing something.  You'll see 
more RP as well when the GM's do events as well.  Hope you stick around,

Hi Ian.

the  only thing I've played like it is wayfar144, but where as in wayfar 
once you'd built your colony, and gone and foraged and got resources from 
the wilderness and what not things felt a lot safer (and to me less 
interesting).


Clok is very much you  about exploring the wilderness and fronteers, and I 
don't think that stops further up the game either.


You can do amazing amounts of crafting (even making campfires is a quite 
interesting and involved process), hunt, cook, mine, fight various creatures 
and do magic. The game feels very realistic, it has the most uniue damage 
and energy system I've seen. It's not for everyone sinse it's certainly got 
a learning curve (especially as far as some of the proceses for creation 
go), but it's worth it, or at least I'm finding so thus far.


I'm darklenna if you want to look me up in the game, but I'm very much still 
a newbie myself, though other players are amazingly helpful.

upon how good your gm is and how ell your players interact.
Sinse the Gm is also a human, they are as adaptable as you, so theoretically 
there really aren't! limits to how things go, though of course it depends 
upon a good gm who has that weerd combination of creative story telling, 
world building and people management skills.


There are various forums, rp inforced muds and other places I've seen around

i'd firstly suggest checking around in your area to make absolutely sure, 
ask at universities,  (how I started and all the games I've played have been 
with either present or ex uni students), hobby shops where they also sell 
the manualls etc. I've even heard of websites that put people in local areas 
in touch for games but I've not come across any of those.


If you must! do it online, you'd definitely want live sessions with voice 
chat on skype, teamtalk or one of those servers, and of course have your own 
mike too.


I know Phil used to run a D&D game over a voice chat server on Pcs, I am not 
sure if he still does.


So, while I'd not be against online games I'd first very much recommend you 
look around for a local group of some sort, or failing that, make sure you 
get as close to a real, live experience as possible with live voice chat.


there really isn't anything to compare with it, at least when done well.

Hope you like and get things sorted. Entombed is such a landmark title and 
such an awsome game (I've spent many hours with it and not just because I 
was an alpha tester), it'd be a shame if it wasn't still available to buy 
(especially if indeed Jason does come up with Entomed Ii which actually 
isn't impossible as he certainly hasn't fallen off the face of the earth 
like some developers and is interested in writing more games.

I am running a mac but would like to try some windows audiogames. I 
tried downloading swamp multiple times earlier today. The mirror 
link seems to be no longer valid and with the normal download link 
i get a network dropout after about 10% each time i try. I know my 
internet is working well for other stuff.
I was able to get a patch.zip but not the main download file. Would 
anyone be willing to send it to me through dropbox? I cant seem to 
find an emailadress to notify the author.

I would suggest the use of a download manager (free download manager is what 
I used). This will let you ignore network dropping out on you. If you still

The main difference between the free version of blindfold solitaire and the 
2.99 USD paid is how many times you can play per day.

You can only play one game per day for free, unlimited with paid.
I do like the human voice telling you the cards. You can speed up and slow 
down the voice by adjusting the pitch of the voice in the settings.
There are also good card flipping and other sound effects and you can un-do 
the move by shaking your iPhone.

challenging enough.  I'm sure that the solitaire game would be a 
challenge, but the crazy eights game is not against other people like Dice 
World is, and if the computer plays at an easily beaten level, I would 
have bought something I would not use.  Thanks for the info.  After the 
third of next months, I'll be buying.

I am running a mac but would like to try some windows audiogames. I 
tried downloading swamp multiple times earlier today. The mirror link 
seems to be no longer valid and with the normal download link i get a 
network dropout after about 10% each time i try. I know my internet is 
working well for other stuff.
I was able to get a patch.zip but not the main download file. Would 
anyone be willing to send it to me through dropbox? I cant seem to find 
an emailadress to notify the author.

Same, I was able to solve the capcha in firefox and was able to sign up.
The only thing I think would be good is have a way to see what I 
could do, ie if i am at a sertain skill level I'd like to only have 
the options shown of what I could safely do or what i could do if I 
really pushed myself to do it.

I'd also like to automate tasks to do.
I realise that can be abbused.
But right now the wait times for a lot of the  bigger odd jobs are 
such that to get to 2000 credits or earn 2000 bucks to advance my 
story I will have to login, choose the big job, log out, maybe come 
back in to make it happen again log out.

Its fine having the breaks in because it stops me getting addicted to 
the game to much but really.

The game itself really does rock.
But its early days yet.
Right now I'd really like fights to be more interactive.
Basically choose your stile and hit the ffight button.
its like choose your power settings and hit button on the microwave 
to start it.

if hp is 0 then lost if hp is anything bar 0 I win.
Thats fine but once I am done with the story, Unless I actually can 
find something interesting to do I won't be staying in for long.
Fact is I only have a few hours when its currently bareable with the 
temperatures and the like.

Well I was desperate for a bit of exploring, so I tried this one, and sure 
enough exploring is what I got. 

The problem I'm finding is a lot of the game systems are pretty complex and 
rather unforgiving if you got them wrong, for example I bought a handaxe rather 
than a lumber axe to chop wood and if it wasn't for one particularly kind 
player I'd have had a good few more wilderness trips than I wanted.

I do like the need to prepare for journies and the idea of getting skills by 
what you do is good, also the wilderness is certainly my thing, although the 
game isn't exactly forgiving, I got killed by a coyote after making the mistake 
of assuming that training in staffs meant I could take something on, also it 
took me a while to work out camp fires and I've not yet managed to carve 
anything halfway decent or lucrative, (actually I am wondering what the heck 
all those branches are for when I fell trees sinse it seems the only practical 
good you get is making fires, particularly sinse it seems to be easier to find 
little wild herbs in the forest than firewood which is very odd), indeed I was 
just trying to cook the first thing I managed to kill (a fox), when a brigand 
suddenly walked in, womped me in the chest with his mace and killed me stone 
dead in one go!

Actually the combat commands arne't something I've fully got yet, sinse at 
first it seemed unless I actively typed "kill" or "battle" I wasn't actually 
attacking at all.

I also wonder how the herbalism knolidge skill goes, sinse I've been doing 
loads of foraging for herbs and firewood, but not seeing any sort of skill 
increase. 

The game is good, it reminds me of when I started playing wayfare with it's 
complex wildenress and crafting, and also slower over all combat, though I 
suspect it won't have the problem wayfare ran into, namely that once you'd 
setup your colony and were starting to build vehicles and full on sapceships 
the game became a lot less interesting (or at least it did for me).

I'm darklenna on there if anyone wants to say hi, though the rp seems very 
casual thus far.
