I really don't see much fun in solara. You do the quests, which are either
fighting or a little building, and sometimes you have to wait a while for your
food to be replennished, and its just kinda boring.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara games.

2014-04-14 Thread dark
Apart from the light hearted story and the descriptions of the various
game characters and shops to read, which i'd regard as some of the best I've
seen (it's rare Vi players get so much access to game's atmosphere), The
point is the tactics of choosing your heroes and setting them up, which can
get interesting when your deciding what is best to fight another player,
however this is one reason I hope we get more information about the in game
monsters at some point, not just what they look like but what their stats
and tactics are.

I will agree the automatic combat does take away from the game slightly, and
I'd personally much rather have a reactive game that gave you combat
situations to judge and employed your tactics on the go, but certainly
Solara is the best auto combat casual mmorpg I've seen.

All the best,

dark.

[Audyssey] Solara Castle expanstion question

2013-11-19 Thread sylvester thomas III
Greetings Gamers!
I have a question for you Solara players.
I am level 40 and for the last two level ups, 38 to 40 I haven't seen
the option in upgrades to upgrade my Castle after swiping the Build
button.
I have 72 structures currently but am unable to build due to not
enough room to place a new structure.
I see structures behind the food tab that say require level 50 but
obviously I'm not there yet, just frustrated about not being able to
expand my Castle.
In fact I don't see where you can see what your Castle level is currently.
I guess my question is about the difference between castle expansions
and upgrading your castle.
Hope this makes sense, and Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Hi.
You can only expand your castle so much.
You can check in Manage Shops. That'll tell you how many shops you have
and how many spaces are vacant.

[Audyssey] Solara Help for a First Time Player

2013-10-05 Thread Edgar Lozano
Hello fellow gamers,

After experiencing severe bordom, I decided to finally give Solara a try. So
far, I am having a positive gaming experience. I have managed to obtain level
five, and acquired five heroes. I am slowly familiarizing myself with the
game's interface. However, I do have some questions.
What would be a good way of obtaining more Esper? I am interested in investing
in some of the available upgrades.
Also, would someone please describe the process of positioning heroes, prior to
a quest battle?
Responses to any of these questions is greatly appreciated.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara Help for a First Time Player

2013-10-05 Thread Christina
Hi.
You can earn more Esper once you're a little higher level on some story
quests and challenge quests.

You doubletap on the hero you want to add and he/she is put into the battle
party. Empty slots are filled in descending order. So, if slots 2 and 3 are
empty, 2 will be filled first.
Doubletapping a hero also removes a hero.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara Help for a First Time Player

2013-10-05 Thread dark

Hi Greg.

Firstly, esper can be bought in the store, with the store button you'll
see some various items such as esper shard that each give an amount of esper
for you to spend, along with how much esper you give and their price, (I had
the prices in pounds but I assume those adjust to the currency of whatever
region your Iphone is set to).

I'd personally recommend looking at some of the s[ecoa special castle stone
upgrades to increase the percentage of your food and gold output, those are
a great investment.

Regarding positioning your heroes, well once you've got an emty slot by
selecting one of your heroes and then hitting remove, you can select that
slot by double tapping and then double tap a hero to fill it.

?

The way the slots work in battle terms is that slot 1 is always at the
front, slot 2 behind and so on back. So, it's a good idea to put your big
tough fighter types in slots 1 and 2, and save the last couple for support
or ranged attackers, though there are situations when you might want to
change that stratogy of course.

?

Just bare in mind whoever is in slot 1 gets hit first (you can see this in
battle by looking at the percentage meters for your heros hp vs the enemies.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara

2013-10-04 Thread dark

Hi Sly.

When you double tap a heroe in the heroe's screen you will get their stats
printed towards the bottom right, and their skills, actually in a more
complete explanation than when you originally unlock them. This is the
information to formulate your stratogy.

I admit however I'm lookign forward to the point heroes and monsters have
full physical descriptions. On the solara thread on the audiogames.net
forum, a member gave some descriptions which were quite humerous, such as
the healer being an old man in white robes with a big jar of honey in one
hand and a rather sticky spoon in the other, and that when he uses his
healing abilities he either feeds honey to your heroes or even just flings
blobs of honey at them! :D..

Hth.

All the best,

Dark.

I love Solara as well.
One question to players of the game, Is there a way to have a
description read of your heros?
When you unlock a hero it gives a defination of the type of hero, for
example when you unlock a ranger it will tell you the rangers skills
and such and what they are good for etc.
Is there any way to have this information read in the game?
If I select heros to see there stats and double tap on the ranger,
mage, Knight etc. button it does not give this information.
It would be really helpful in setting up your party to know the
strenths and weaknesses so wondered if I am missing something in
locateing this info.

Yep, Solara only works in Landscape mode so you'll have to turn your
phone
to play more effectively.
You might want to build before going on any quests. Buildings
accumulate

gold and/or food.
When you double tap on a quest, swiping should then bring up a blurb
about
what you're fighting. You hit Fight and then select any hero/s you
want
on the quest. You start with one hero and one hero slot available.
Double-tapping on the hero's name brings up his/her info and the option
to
add him to the group.
To remove him, you must double-tap on the hero slot number.

Hi ian.

not as far as I know, however the speed you do quests and progress through
the game is up to you.

What your best off doing is either A, changing your shop setup to provide
you more gold and food per hour, (I'd strongly advise building every tower
upgrade you can so you have maximum space for shops), or B, paying some
money to the game so you have enough esper for the castle upgrades that just
give a whacking great %75 boost to all your food and gold produced. I did
this myself when i realized Solara was a game I'd enjoy, and have had no
regrets, of course it's certainly isn't absolutely necessary to have the
paid castle upgrades, or indeed any of the rather uba esper only shops, but
they do help.

Unfortunately no, which I confess also added to my own slight
dissatisfaction with the games since I'm also very much a solo player
myself, however in the storm8 games, take away player attacks and clans and
you'd have almost none of the game left.

I can however highly recommend solara, which is similar in that it has
buildings that produce each hour, but miles different in it's focus since it

has a full story with missions to do and the stuff you can build even has
entire descriptions.

Nobody can ever attack you and cause you problems, and while there is a
league to participate in if you wish, it's entirely up to you, and you might

want to just focus on the single player stuff as I do.

Indeed, I'd highly! recommend anyone with an iphone give Solara a go if you
like fantasy themed games, it's the perfect example of something which is
easy to play and very casual, but at the same time quite rewarding.

there are so many iphone games that are like storm8, hit some numbers to

When you double tap on a quest, swiping should then bring up a blurb about
what you're fighting. You hit Fight and then select any hero/s you want
on the quest. You start with one hero and one hero slot available.
Double-tapping on the hero's name brings up his/her info and the option to
add him to the group.
To remove him, you must double-tap on the hero slot number.
HTH,
Christina

Hi Lori.

Sadly no audio demo, but hopefuly the audiogames.net page is reasonably
informative.

About paying, well on solara the in ap perchice store is very clearly
labled, and completely separate from where you pay for in game upgrades to
your tower etc, so there's absolutely no worries with paying for something
by mistake.

Also, I'll add that on the iphone before making any in ap perchice you need
to enter your name and password anyway.

Start the game, and use the quests button. This is where you cary on
missions for the story, but also the first few missions will take you
through the game basics like a tutorial.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara

2013-10-03 Thread Dakotah Rickard
Landscape mode is where your phone's screen is sideways, and Voiceover
will announce when your home button should be to the left or right.
Also, try touching the screen in different places to allow you to
learn where things are. This will be important in iOS 7, as it has
messed up several things to do with Solara.
Still, it's a great game.

Hi.
Yep, Solara only works in Landscape mode so you'll have to turn your phone
to play more effectively.
You might want to build before going on any quests. Buildings accumulate
gold and/or food.

2013-10-03 Thread dark
With quests, the buttons with the name on each quest appear at the top, then
slightly towards the bottom (or just swipe), is some description and the
names of what monsters you will fight on that quest, along with a button
that says fight

When you hit fight you'll be taken to the heroes screen where you select
which of your heroes to go on the quest. Double tapping a hero's name will
select them and bring up their details, when you get multiple slots you can
also tap a slot to select it then tapp a hero to put them there.

The stratogy comes from what heroes you select to fight what monsters, or
indeed other players if you want to go down that road.

All the best,

Dark.

Go to options and you'll find options for alerts, though I will say for
Solara the alerts aren't often, you just tend to get one when all your shops
have produced their gold and you need to go and pick it up, still the option
is there to turn it off if you don't want it.

Re: [Audyssey] Solara

2013-10-03 Thread sylvester thomas III
I love Solara as well.
One question to players of the game, Is there a way to have a
description read of your heros?
When you unlock a hero it gives a defination of the type of hero, for
example when you unlock a ranger it will tell you the rangers skills
and such and what they are good for etc.
Is there any way to have this information read in the game?
If I select heros to see there stats and double tap on the ranger,
mage, Knight etc. button it does not give this information.
It would be really helpful in setting up your party to know the
strenths and weaknesses so wondered if I am missing something in
locateing this info.

Hi.
I haven't found any help files either. You get more Esper by going on
quests. You can also earn some as rewards when you fight in the arena.
I've started a file with info on the creatures you fight but it's not
complete by any means. I can send that to you, if you like.

[Audyssey] Solara Manual?

Hi. Does a manual for Solara exist? I think it'd be helpful to have a
