Manamon is a turnbased roleplaying game in which you capture various feral monsters you find around the world and use them to help you complete the storyline. It features experimental online gameplay which will allow you to trade and battle your friends to determine which of you is the stronger Manamon Tamer. Storyline In the world of Tangeria, children around ages 10 to 14 become Manamon Tamers. A Manamon Tamer is someone who captures and befriends creatures in the wild. The tamer will then battle with other Tamers in order to gain more experience. Its a Manamon Tamer's job to collect and train Manamon in hopes of becoming the Manamon Master, but the road to become the master is never easy. While traveling across the world, you will occasionally discover stadiums. Stadiums are battle arenas with powerful leaders who will put your Manamon to the test. You must defeat seven of these leaders in order to gain admittance into the Master's Stadium where you will battle the Manamon Master. The Manamon Master is widely regarded as the strongest Manamon Tamer in the land of Tangeria, and its for that title that you endeavor. In the game, you will play as a brand new Manamon Tamer who hopes to take on this Stadium Challenge. That's your plan, at least. But when you discover an evil organization bent on the typical goal of world domination, your plans to become the Master might be interrupted somewhat. Its a long way from 1 stadium to the next, so your bound to meet lots of people and have many adventures along the way. Who knows what your Manamon adventure may bring! Features 158 Manamon Creatures to discover, capture, and fight against. Over 200 different attacks these Manamon can learn. A large world in which to immerse yourself. A complex turn based battle system. A unique system of straight forward navigation which was first introduced in the game Paladin of the Sky and was improved upon in Manamon. Lots of items for you to find and use in order to help yourself during your journey. Many types of equipment you can give your Manamon to make them stronger. Several minigames for you to play throughout your adventure. Creative sound design making all of the cities, caves, and battles come alive. An experimental online system which will allow you to battle and trade with your friends. An online battle recorder which allows you to relive noteworthy battles. A few postgame surprises. Self voicing using SAPI 5 compatible voices. Demo limitations Manamon is a shareware product, meaning you'll have to pay in order to experience the full feature set and storyline. Hi. A shame that annoying xp bug isn't fixed. I've not been able to play any of Vgstorms games since psycho strike, it's a shame, this one sounds great, and Aaron did say he'd look at fixingthe bug but it's not happened. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
Wow, this game is really cool! Although I've not had much time to check it out fully as it's after 2 am here and I'm totally exausted, what I've seen of it so far is very good. I like the new emproved wall sounds and find it a lot easier to navigate around than in paladin of the sky. One question I do have though is once I'm out of the city, how do I find the hotel? I've tried going all ways but keep running into cats and other enemies who eventually kill my creature. Is there a way to tell where the hotel is? Thanks from Lori. -Original Message- From: Ian McNamara Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 10:48 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG! OK, I have started the game, and is his name at the beginning of my journey. However, I can't figure out how to move anywhere. No matter where I go, it just says I'm in my room. I'm not sure what I should do? This game looks like fun, and I can't wait to play it. You actually have to head south quite a ways. In the meanwhile of course you can always return to your house and sleep in your bed which will also heal you. There are a few Tamer battles on the road to Amica which is your next destination. -Original Message- From: loriduncan Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 7:24 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG! I would like to welcome you to the world of Manamon! Manamon does offer a generous demo mode which will allow you to reach the second stadium leader. Apart from all online functionality being disabled, you can play the entire game unrestricted up until this point. Getting the Game You can download Manamon here http://www.vgstorm.com/manamon/manamon_installer.exe You can buy the game for forty U.S. dollars here http://www.vgstorm.com/order.php We hope you enjoy the game! --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. That's the one michael. It happens with psycho strike, the gate and now manaman. It is fixable, since Oriol Gomez had it in some of his games and corrected it, and I know Aaron mentioned sorting it for psycho strike, it's just a little sad he hasn't got around to doing that for three games. There's actually been no announcements on this issue in numerous months. Its something to do with the form of bgt being used, but other than that we know nothing. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
For all those posting about the Windows XP bug, my main question is, why in the world are you still running XP? I grant you that it was a great operating system for several years. But so is Windows 7. You're not losing any stability by upgrading your system. Add to that the fact that Microsoft has discontinued all support for XP, and you have yet another reason to upgrade. If you have programs that will only run on XP, then use the compatibility tool in Windows to run those specific programs in XP mode. I can guarantee you, without a doubt, that these games do work on Windows 7, as well as 8.1. I am not suggesting that you need to go all the way to Windows 10. And I myself do not like the layout of Windows 8. Great operating system in terms of security and stability, but layout and some accessibility issues are a huge turn off for me. But there is not a thing wrong with Windows 7, and I see nothing but benefits to upgrading. Actually I've setup my wife's machine with windows 7, and have had to do a lot of configuration, and have had nothing but problems, the os seems intrinsically flawed to me in it's view, it's display, not to mention needlessly complex in many areas (why the hell we don't have outlook express anymore and what the hell is going on with downloads). Since finally! we're getting to the point that xp is becoming mildly inconvenient to use with things like youtube I do plan to get a windows 10 machine later this year when I've finished my doctorate since I'll need office 2003 until then, (I don't like the idea but we must all bow to the wishes of almighty microsoft and it can't be worse than what I've observed of win 7), however I still would much prefer to use xp, and would be happier if programs like bgt could support it since I do plan to keep my xp laptop running for other stuff and I do know I'm not the only person in this position. Everyone is free to say "microsoft! doesn't support xp" without considering whether we! should support microsoft, indeed it irritates me that I'm being forced to accept something I don't want just because some fat cat coorporation wants more money and finds it easier to break something which has worked perfectly well for 17 years including all copatibility than to actually make something that is practically any better. Personally I think win 7 is far better than xp ever could be. I've had win7 on my laptop since 2011 but only recently had it put on my main machine. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
Dark, in windows 7 the one thing to note is hitting windows key brings up a search box from where you type downloads, or whatever you're looking for, like internet, and it'll come up. That's how I use it rather than going through the start menu. I'm using windows live mail client which works to a point, but has those stupid ribbon menus meaning i can't find my address book for contacts. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
Dark, What do you mean, what the hell is wrong with downloads? Downloads are right there. Open your start menu by pressing Windows key. Next, type the word downloads in the search box that comes up and hit enter. Your downloads folder will open for you in a traditional explorer window. As for Outlook, there is no reason why it cannot be installed onto Windows 7. I personally used outlook for years on my Win 7 machine, without drama. And while I myself believe that Microsoft has more money than anyone should probably have, and while I agree that they have no right to compel anyone to buy an operating system that they do not wish to use, I also understand that the newer systems provide added functionality, features, security, and stability, and can be used with 64-bit processors. If you use it enough, you'll fall in love with the search box. How convenient it is to type a couple of letters, and have your document, program, or system setting pop right up for you. With the growth in hardware, and the development of at least 4 operating systems since XP, it isn't feasible for them to continue to try to support it. I see. Thank you so much for telling me. When Sierra officially comes out, since vmWare doesn't seem to like it much now, and a new vmWare comes out with it, I'll get a Windows 10 vm to use for it. Thanks so much for telling much about 32Bit, I didn't know that'd help so much. Also, the Mac has a spinning hard drive, so that affects things too. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
Well if you don't want a battle you can flee it. Be aware that grinding is part of this game you need to do this to level up your chars and units. I always train units evenly because I am a starter but even so, grinding is part of this and a lot of japanese fighters. You need at least 2 really strong units with transformations and its the only way to handle it then as you go just traid on and on you go. It takes a bit but yeah if its a waste of your time you can run away from it. Fights are the only way you can get cash unless you find it. Actual battles where you meet and get challenged its to the death and you can't flee. On the other hand you will get special items to progress, special keys, bonuses, cash and other usefull things. you can get a windows10 tablet two in one laptop with a touch screen tablet and it snaps into a physical keyboard with physical mouse for $99 at walmart. you get a full windows10 home and quad core atom processor windows10 32bit and 2gigs ram. it'll run our audio games very good. when you unsnap the tablet from the keyboard windows10 goes into tablet mode when you snap it back in then it goes into laptop mode and shows you your windows desktop. and you can add an sd card and tell windows10 to put all your applications on the sd card if you wish or if you run out of internal storeage. Yes, Windows 10 is very good, from what I can see. Windows 8 and 8.1 missed the mark, but Windows 10 definitely fixed some of those issues. just skip windows8 and 8.1 but if you do go to windows10 it is very stable also just like 7 but even faster. what i like about it is my son who is sighted sometimes he gets viruses from various questionable games he tries out. so i just say well if it gets too bad just go into settings and do a complete reset this pc. he does and windows10 is back to factory defaults after it cleans and reinstalls itself. that reset feature has even saved my computer once or so now. And while I myself believe that Microsoft has more money than anyone should probably have, and while I agree that they have no right to compel anyone to buy an operating system that they do not wish to use, I also understand that the newer systems provide added functionality, features, security, and stability, and can be used with 64-bit processors. Hi lori. That's not the problem, or at least not the direct problem. My wife likes desktop shortcuts to everything so I've set them up to her, even for things like favourites. However sometimes folders open and just plane don't display correctly, especially when they're very large directories. I don't know if baloons or other crap is opening, and I've tried to change what views I can, but it's not helping. That's aside from problems with email, partially completed downloads and all sorts of other rubbish, and her first machine literally breaking down after a year (though in fairness that might have been a hardware problem since the machine was from a rather dodgy source). Either way, I really! am not impressed with windows 7 and would much rather stick with xp. All the best, Dark. - Original Message - From: "loriduncan" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2016 7:04 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG! Hi Shaun and all, But I can't even find the first stadium. I go from the house, I go to the Amiga town (I don't know the right spelling), and there is only the hotel and the market place. I can do everything there, and go to the west in the woods. I'm pretty sure you can't buy Manamon from the market. As for the woods they are a bit of a maze. There's a really small path right next to the first tamer you meet. You'll also know you're on the right track when you find a bench and near it a person who'll heal all your Manamon. -Original Message- From: loriduncan Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2016 5:41 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG! Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
to be fair, I have only found 2 games so far, that I really can't get to work under win7, running win7 ultimate 64bit. underwater, and fear of the dark. no matter what I try, I just can't get those to run at all. looking at the other side of the coin, I even got descent in to madness to work fine under win7, and have heard of a lot of people having trouble getting this one to work with 7. I do wonder if sometimes installing a few games fixes problems? for example, originally, I couldn't get alien outback to work, I just got a message saying it couldn't find a certain .dll file. whilst trying to figure out a way to sort this out, I installed quite a few other games, and when I later came back to alien outback to get the name of the file for someone trying to help me out, it fired up just fine. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
To be honest you need to go up all of the floors in the clocktower beating everyone you meet along the way. Eventually you will find the strongest trainer in the level. His muther is the leader, if you beat him you will impress him enough to get the stadium open. Even when thats done there are 2 people below the leader to fight. Hint, if you have 2 transformed units then you probably can ace this. You should then be able to get various loot from both oponents. Re: [Audyssey] VGStorm Presents Manamon, a new fully featured RPG!
I have always evenly distributed my points when each gets points. It does usually mean one stat usually the last one speed or whatever it is gets lower points but you get what is needed and so on though you can customise things as you go. I have however found myself switching out serious crappy chars with good ones. In fact I had an electric unit stopped by an air unit. I was able to then catch that air unit, swap out one of my weaker electric and sound units for higher level units so. hi dark, Unfortunatly, I also experienced the issue you experienced with explorer freezing when I was using 7. The solution is simple actually. This issue is caused by thumbnails. You should then be able to get various loot from both oponents. hi Dark, I usually modify the following options. enable Always show icons, never thumbnails disable Display file icon on thumbnail disable Show preview handlers in preview pane additionally, try disabling the preview pane of windows explorer from the view menu. Well after I made some poor decisions I have restarted, go to level 1 and talk to the guy. go to level2 and defeat everyone. Then find the ladder to 3 and do the same. the ladders for 4 and 5 you will have to search for, but once you have killed all on 4 and then killed most on 5 you will find what I can say is the level's boss Beat the boss and you are in. Okay, This game is frustratingme. I have arrowed for like ten minutes using the down arrow and haven't found a door. Also, how does one find their classmate so they can get a Manamon? It just says I'm in my room and am not going anywhere.
