Re: [Geoserver-users] Problem creating datastore to Oracle GeoRaster
Looks ok to me. Next questions 1) Did you specify the url of your xml config file as a connection parameter when adding the raster data source ? 2) In your log file, are there some lines containing the String ImageMosaicJDBC. Perhaps you can zip your log file and send it to me directly. Quoting Paul Joyce joyc...@hotmail.com: Hi Christian, Thanks for the response. Please check the following 1) The gt-imagemosaic-jdbc-2.6.4.jar. is in the WEB-INF/lib directory of your geoserver installation. yes, it is. 2) Check if the georaster classes are in the zip file, using Linux you can do this with unzip -l gt-imagemosaic-jdbc-2.6.4.jar | grep -i georaster # unzip -l /usr/local/glassfish-3.0.1/glassfish/domains/domain1/applications/geoserver/WEB-INF/lib/gt-imagemosaic-jdbc-2.6.4.jar | grep -i georaster 15150 05-14-10 17:04 org/geotools/gce/imagemosaic/jdbc/custom/JDBCAccessOracleGeoRaster.class # does that look right? 3) Do you have the Oracle jdbc driver in your classpath. (ojdbc14.jar). You can also use nmap on the machine hosting GeoServer to see if your network configuration permits it to connect. nmap -p 5432 your.database.server.example.org closed means it is likely not listening. filtered means it is likely blocked by a firewall. open means it is accepting TCP connections. [Geoserver-users] Palettes from Vector data
Hello everybody, I installed GeoServer (DE) 2.0.1 which came with the precompiled binaries from the GeoNetwork OpenSource package. I wanted to try out the use of palettes for vector data, but frankly speaking I don't understand the tutorial from the GeoServer User Manual (http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/tutorials/palettedimage/palettedimage.html). The tutorial says that one can generate a custom palette from a vector data source using IrfanView. The tutorial starts with loading a png 24 bit into IrfanView. But how do I get this png file? Is it the rendered map from a WMS? And doesn't the created palette need a geo referencing file as well to be used? One completly other thing I couldn't find out! What does the (DE) stands for? If all the colors are the same at all zoom levels then you can just use one zoom level. And doesn't the created palette need a geo referencing file as well to be used? Nope. What the palette is doing is picking which are the most important 256 colors out of the thousands that a png24 renders. Then it just sets those as the ones for GeoServer to use when rendering, which makes things much faster. And generates the smaller images. So all the palette contains is a list of those 256 colors - no geo referencing needed. One completly other thing I couldn't find out! What does the (DE) stands for? Hi, I've just upgraded to 2.1beta and I'm having an issue making a WMS request for the sf:sfdem dataset. Also, I don't seem to have a problem with some of the other default datasets so maybe the fact that sf:sfdem is a geotiff is also relevant. The full stack trace from the Geoserver log is shown below. Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver 2.1beta1 SLD problem
Within a single WMS request, labels always get rendered on top of everything else, regardless of layer order. I am not aware of a way to disable this behavior. You could work around it by configuring separate layers in your OpenLayers client, or using a cascading WMS server to overlay the two tilesets, or something along those lines. Hope this helps. -- David Winslow OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org/ On Thursday, September 16, 2010, Mats Norén mats.no...@gmail.com wrote: Hi, I'm trying to style OSM and a layer with my own external graphics shields in SVG on top. [Geoserver-users] web mapping project
I am interested in applying my GEOSERVER knowledge and get my hand dirty with a project. Does anyone know of any not-for-profit, or startup organisations that could use a somewhat basic Geoserver fuelled web mapping component to their website? I am currently on Vancouver Island, Canada so a group close by would be ideal, but I would also consider groups from Australia? Re: [Geoserver-users] Problem creating datastore to Oracle GeoRaster
Looks ok to me. Next questions 1) Did you specify the url of your xml config file as a connection parameter when adding the raster data source ? Oops, I just noticed that I didn't include that in my original post. I must have missed that last line when I highlighted in the web page. I specified URL as file:coverages/test.xml. There is a line in the log file snippet I originally included that shows it being read. 2) In your log file, are there some lines containing the String ImageMosaicJDBC. Perhaps you can zip your log file and send it to me directly. I'll do that. There are some lines about a ImageMosaicJDBCFormatFactory being created. Re: [Geoserver-users] web mapping project
Hi Peter, Where about on the Island are you? Drop me a note. I have a few projects in mind for which I might be able to provide some sort of stipend. Are you just into GeoServer, or are you game for incorporating some of the other bits from the OpenGeo stack? In any event we'll try to suck you into a blossoming OSGeo chapter! [Geoserver-users] Geoserver, Oracle, and ESRI ST_geometry [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
I have an Oracle table of spatial data that I want to serve as WFS using Geoserver. The geometries are stored in an Oracle table in ESRI ST_geometry format (ie, it comes from an ESRI SDE geodatabase). Can I serve these data using Geoserver and just an Oracle licence? Or do I need SDE installed on my server as well?
