Re: [Geoserver-users] Watermarks on Geowebcache
Watermarking and tiling don't go well together. Imagine what happens if you render the watermark into the bottom right tile on the screen, and then the user pans. Google has pretty much covered the two options I can think of; Render the watermark on the client, or render a faint silhouette into every tile. -Arne On 10/18/10 7:48 AM, Pingu512 wrote: Adding watermarks to WMS output works fine, but when I use the tiles cached by GeoWebCache they don't appear. Re: [Geoserver-users] ImagePyramid batch add
The REST API doesn't provide any special support for configuring pyramids, the way it does for auto-importing Shapefiles. However, you should be able to: 1. Configure one Pyramid manually. 2. Track it down in XML form in RESTConfig 3. Edit the XML file to form a template in your templating language of choice. 4. Create a script that applies that template to the rest of your pyramids and POSTs the results to GeoServer. This is actually the process I follow for most actions in RESTConfig; do it once in the GUI, find out what the XML looks like, make a template, then script a client. -- David Winslow OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org/ On Mon, Oct 18, 2010 at 9:55 AM, Morabito, Chris chris.morab...@woolpert.com wrote: I have a large number of ImagePyramid stores that I would like to add to a GeoServer installation. Is there any (easy) way to associate a Geoserver user with the printing module? The module is unable to access secured layers. Ideally the module would run as the 'user' that submitted the request, but I could live with a fixed user with broad read access.
