[Goanet] LPG gas cylinder's expiry date....Do we check this?
Have U ever heard about LPG gas cylinder's expiry date!! I also didn't know how to find LPG cylinder's expiry date? Expired Cylinders are not safe for use and may cause accidents. In this regard please be cautious at the time of accepting any LPG cylinder from the Vendor. Here is how we can check the expiry of LPG cylinders: On one of three side stems of the cylinder, the expiry date is coded alpha numerically as follows A or B or C or D and some two digit number following this e.g. D06. The alphabets stand for quarters - 1. A for March (First Qtr), 2. B for June (Second Qtr), 3. C for Sept (Third Qtr), 4. D for December (Fourth Qtr). The digits stand for the year till it is valid. Hence D06 would mean December qtr of 2006. Shrikant Vinayak Barve Explore and discover exciting holidays and getaways with Yahoo! India Travel http://in.travel.yahoo.com/
Re: [Goanet] Science links religion and health
Mario, finally you prove how off-center (philosophically and mentally) you are. At first I thought your obnoxiousness was towards Goans in general; as reflected by your posts on goanet. More recently, I suspected you are vile to everybody who does not have your bias. You proved me right, and you took the cake. You are obnoxious towards your own views - that is if you have any. Instead of knowing the issues, all we get from you are angry, contemptuous assertions. I provided a link to a post (see below). Now you could not state, that my writing is confusing. I am not sure that you read the post - though obviously you opened the link. You go on to abuse the alleged author with words like the most ignorant and biased bloggers in America and ... then far left wing advocate for the homosexual community and knows about as much as you do about economics. The fact is that Andrew Sullivan, who you assumed was the author of the post, is not the author. That is how much you pay attention to what you read and respond to. The author of the post is Richard Posner and not Andrew Sullivan. And Richard Posner knows a lot more of economics than you. His book A Failure of Capitalism: The Crisis of '08 and the Descent into Depression should be out shortly. In 1981, President Reagan nominated Richard Posner to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, in Chicago. So that is how ignorant and left wing advocate Posner is! From Wikipedia: Richard Allen Posner is currently a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School. He is an influential figure in the law and economics movement. http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Posner,+Richard+Allen http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?sid=azlzwb_THkrUpid=20601088 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Posner Despite your lofty statements on goanet, for you to raise in a degrading manner, the (alleged) author's stand on homosexuality, in a discussion of economics, reflects your extreme views of other human beings, with whom you may not agree. Shame on you! I thought you are intelligent. Instead of concentrating on the contents of the post, of which you understood very little, you went after an unrelated issue - the author's alleged resume. Well that is you! After this, it will make me sick to dialog with you. You are beyond the pale of human decency. I am joining the vast majority of goanetters to place you on my 'do not dialog list'. Regards, GL - Mario respnds It continues to amaze me how you find and follow the most ignorant and biased bloggers in America. Andrew Sullivan is a far left wing advocate for the homosexual community and knows about as much as you do about economics. He obviously has no idea that the roots of the current financial crisis are in the Community Reinvestment Act, supported mostly by Democrats from Carter to Clinton to Obama, which tried to subvert capitalism by using government regulations to force banks to lower their credit standards to lend to low income home buyers. -- Gilbert wrote: Yet, as I look at it, it is another example of Americans blaming somebody-else. http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2009/05/a-failure-of-capitalism-reply-to-alan-greenspan.html
[Goanet] TEOTONIO'S THEATRICS
TEOTONIO'S THEATRICS. Averthanus L. D'Souza. The lead article on the editorial page of the Herald of Saturday, 23 May, 2009 by Teotonio R. de Souza titled The Political Economy of the Church gives cause for some concern about the real intentions of Teotonio in opening a can of worms which is neither positive nor constructive. A repeated re-reading of the article confirms that the writer is thoroughly confused about several basic issues: is he concerned about (the political economy of ) the Church in India or the Church is Goa? Is he aware that Goa is no longer part of Portugal and that legislation passed in Portugal does not have any relevance whatsoever for Goa (including the Church in Goa.) There does not appear to be a clear focus in the article referred to. He seems to be flailing all over the place without direction or purpose. What exactly is to be made of the confused and confusing observations made by the writer? Let us try to decipher the article in a rational manner. 1. Teotonio appears to be recommending that the administration of the temporal affairs of the Church in Goa be transferred to lay people so that the clergy can be free to pursue their pastoral responsibilities. To bolster up his recommendation he cites the Hindu Religious Charitable Endowment Act and proposes the example of the Tamil Nadu case in which under Section 92 of the Civil Procedure Code, the government administration could hear the appeals of different religious endowment boards. Strangely, and in stark contradiction to his own recommendation, Teotonio observes that: Many private Hindu temple trusts have come out strongly against what they see as government interference and ambitions of politicians to grab their vast income. 2. Teotonio cites two examples - of the States of Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. He seems to favour the Kerala proposal where the State (sic) can set up Christian charitable trusts and committees for controlling the resources and finances and for the management of the properties of the churches, and to provide for election to the committees at different levels of the administrative units, namely, Parish/Basic Units, Diocese/Central/Revenue District, and State levels. Teotonio seems to be ignorant of the fact that Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer is of the Marxist ideological persuasion; and that in Kerala the Marxist governments have, for a long time, attempted to strangulate in Catholic Church because of the enormous influence it wields in the educational and health sectors. As an historian (of some repute?) Teotonio should know that Marxist governments have always sought to nationalize private institutions and all private property - including institutions and properties of the Catholic Church. That Teotonio actually supports this proposal is truly alarming and gives rise to serious questions about his intellectual orientations. He also cites the example of Madhya Pradesh, which, as he himself affirms, is known for its anti-foreign missionary and anti-conversion legislation in the early years of independence. By basing his recommendation on such (questionable) precedents, Teotonio places himself in a very tenuous position with regard to his ideological integrity. 3. The second paragraph of his article states that The latest concern of the Commissioner for NRI Affairs (Government of Goa) seems to be related to the political economy of the Church in India. (sic). Teotonio does not care to explain how and when the Terms of Reference of the Commissioner for NRI Affairs of the Government of Goa was expanded to cover the political economy of the Church in India. Who has entrusted the Commissioner for NRI Affairs (Government of Goa) to investigate into the political economy (whatever that might mean) of the Church in India? Teotonio certifies that Eduardo Faleiro is competent to examine the political economy of the Church in India. He goes further to affirm that is precisely why the Church should need him more. (sic) For one thing, Teotonio R. de Souza has no locus standi to issue such a certificate. For another, Eduardo Faleiro does not need any certification from Teotonio R de Souza; and for yet another, neither the Catholic Bishops Conference of India, nor the Archdiocese of Goa has commissioned Eduardo Faleiro to investigate the political economy of the Church in India, or the Church in Goa.The inevitable question that arises is: what is Teotonio's real interest in this matter? 4. Teotonio appears to be straddling two horses at the same time- both of which are headed in different directions. He makes observations as if Goa is still a colony of Portugal and as if recent legislation in Portugal has an impact on how the Church in Goa operates. Example: in paragraph 8 of his article, under review, Teotonio

Re: [Goanet] Suvarnaprashana for children on May 28 at Shiroda Goa
This looks like a suspicious practice. It combines the discredited delusion of astrology with a potentially dangerous untested ritual of chronically administering small quantities of the heavy metal gold in very young children. Chronic ingestion of gold compounds in children have serious toxic effects. This ayurvedic ritual is completely untested for safety. The imaginative claims made by ayurvedic enthusiasts such as the ones below have no rational, factual or scientific basis. Please do not trust them. Ayurvedic medications containing heavy metals have now been found to be extremely harmful, leading to serious conditions such as kidney failure. Please do not expose your kids to such potential harm. Re: [Goanet] Our facile Goan Catholic Society .. It has not changed !!!
Selma, Do you know the reason why Goan bhatkars want to sell the land? They cannot cultivate it (as it is held by a lessee who is no longer interested in cultivating it - now that they get remittances from abroad) nor lease it to someone else, due to the Tenancy Act. The poor bhatkar has to pay the tax, but gets nothing in return. So the next best thing is to get it converted and sell it off. So, before you blame the bhatkar, please investigate the reasons behind the sale. Please note that a number of mundkars, especially those that have sons working abroad, have now illegally built walls round what they now consider as their property, causing unnecessary hardship to their neighbours, blocking right-of-way. I know it because a few years ago, I witnessed an ugly incident between an uncle and a nephew, all because of their new-gotten gulfi-wealth. [Goanet] Musequality World Busk: An invitation to join this event to change young lives in Goa :
Courtesy: Goan Voice Uk. World Busk Day to Support Goa Charity 14 May: Bridport News (UK) … Internationally renowned violinist David Juritz set up the charity Musequality in 2007. To raise money for the charity’s next project, a music centre for homeless children in Goa, he came up with the idea of a World Busk. On Saturday, June 14, at noon, local time musicians around the globe will take to the streets to raise funds for Musequality and hopefully gain a coveted world record… For more details visit www.worldbusk.org or alternatively www.musequality.org Contact David Juritz da...@juritz.com or telephone 020 8747 4869 – 07973 343314. 478 words. From: Joanna Biddolph joanna.biddo...@waitrose.com Musequality World Busk: An invitation to join this event to change young lives in Goa : Monday, 8th June to Sunday, 14th June 2009 Dear Friends of Goa, We would like to invite you to take part in a first ever worldwide musical event that will raise money to change young lives in Goa. We hope many people in the World Alliance of Goans, wherever they are in the world, will join with us to make this event a huge success. Are you a musician? Then please accept our invitation to get involved. Do you know any musicians? Perhaps you could invite them to join this worldwide event. Or are you one of many who don’t play an instrument or sing – but wish you had those skills? We invite you to be part of a group of Goans who make a difference in Goa, by supporting this event some other way. I’d like to tell you more. About the event The event is the first annual Musequality World Busk. It is open to all musicians – amateur, professional, just starting to learn and whether they play solo, with friends, in baroque groups, rock bands, whole orchestras, opera companies ... any genre and any age. The world busk runs from Monday, 8th June to Sunday, 14th June – the date you busk is up to you. We are particularly encouraging young buskers to take part on the Sunday (a school-free day!) when we hope also to set a record for the largest co-ordinated busk the world has ever seen. Our aim in Goa We hope to raise funds for a new music-making project, for disadvantaged children in Goa. Our aim is not to turn children into professional musicians but to engage them in an activity that will give them the self-belief, self-confidence and skills they need to turn their lives around. The project director, Luis Dias, has recently moved back home to Goa, after having lived in the UK where he was a general practice doctor. The project is likely to be a string project, building on and reviving a long-standing string tradition in Goa which is at risk of dying out. Luis plays the violin and will teach in the project; he will also identify and work with elders in the community who could pass on their musical knowledge – so the project will have an impact on the wider community and on preserving traditional skills as well as changing the lives of the children who get involved. About Musequality Musequality, a UK-based charity, funds communal music-making projects for disadvantaged children in the developing world. We already support five projects – two in Uganda, two in South Africa and one in northern Thailand – and we are very keen to establish our sixth project in Goa. Our projects teach children about team working, problem solving, decision making, compromise, negotiation, discipline, ambition and the benefits of hard work – among many other aspects that are essential in life. Musequality was founded two years ago when professional violinist David Juritz, leader of the London Mozart Players, went busking Round the World and Bach, playing Bach for solo violin in 50 cities in 24 countries on every continent except Antarctica. As we were launched with a busk, we thought it would be fun to organise an annual fundraising busking event for others to take part in. Do join us! You are invited to support this event in any way you can – taking part as a musician, encouraging other musicians to take part or donating direct to the project. We would very much welcome your involvement and do hope you will accept our invitation. We have set up a unique Justgiving donations page, specifically for our Goa project. All proceeds from this page will go direct to our project in Goa. The target amount is £5,000. We hope you will visit it and help us make a difference: www.justgiving.com/goansformusequality More information * About busking:
[Goanet] The Great Goan Diet - by Wendell Rodricks
THE GREAT GOAN DIET By Wendell Rodricks Pre-lunch, whenever I visited my friend, the late Lucio Miranda, he would be sitting Buddha like over a bowl of Goan kanji. The first time I saw him with his kanji I asked if this was a daily routine. “Every single day” he replied. “It’s the best diet, our Goan way of eating”. Many years later and after experimenting with many diets (in an attempt to cleanse the system once a year) I have come to the conclusion that Lucio is right. Today, our dietary patterns and physical activity have been altered so drastically that I decided to go on what I now call The Great Goan Diet. Before anyone goes on the diet, it is necessary to reflect on the lifestyle of our ancestors. Imagine a Goan village a hundred years ago. Villages had no electricity, few cars and no telephones for sure. This meant walking to the wells, schools and market places. Messages were also passed on by foot (unlike the present phone-call-away sloth). Our ancestors walked, climbed and rode the humble but effective bicycle. Doctors today will affirm that riding a bicycle into old age is the best way to keep one’s balance. Come rain or shine, all villagers went for a daily passoi (promenade) each evening. Most importantly they ate frugally and at fixed times. Once this routine is accepted, half your weighty problems are eliminated. A few rules…… all old Goan wisdom. No canned or bottled products. If it’s not fresh, forget it. Imagine that your refrigerator is solely for ice. Better still believe it does not exist and hence does not become the repository of frozen food, bottled sauces, junk food left overs and ugly soft drinks. If you want juice do it from fresh fruit. Back to the Great Goan Diet. Begin the day with a cup of weak tea with a spot of milk. In the old days sugar was scarce and barely used. If you need sugar a tiny piece of good old Goan molasses (jaggery) adds sweetness and a lot of flavour. Local fruits such as guavas, mangoes, pineapples, papayas, bananas and humbler fruits from the hills such as zomnas found their way to the breakfast table. One of the principles of yoga is to eat what Mother Earth gives you in season. This simple principle drastically cuts out all the sugar laden apples and pears that now arrive from lands as far as China and Israel. Buy and consume local seasonal fruits. The same applies to vegetables but more of that later. Not many families could afford an entire poyee or kankana per person. But a fresh poyee or chapatti made of whole wheat flour was consumed. Most often families shared half a poyee or kankana. Consider chapattis made from nachne (red millet). Consume village eggs from local hens (when available) once a week. Nothing like gaunthi eggs fried in coconut oil and drizzled with garden grown black pepper. English eggs? Never! Just the thought of those million chickens sitting in always lit cages has put me off chicken forever. That takes care of breakfast. And that rules out butter, jams (except home made with seasonal fruit as a Sunday treat), cheese, cakes, biscuits croissants and all such luxuries that have invaded our modern lives. At 10.30, a bowl of Goan rice kanji water flavoured with a hint of homemade pickle or creamy kalchi kodi on the side. Insist on “homemade” as too many chemicals and preservatives go into commercial pickles. Ask any gym instructor or doctor and they will confirm that six small meals are best for health. This mid morning kanji wards off voracious hunger pangs at lunch which make you eat more than necessary. Lunch comprises Goan boiled rice, fish curry made with small local fish and a piece of fried fish or local tisreos. It is amazing today to see lunch tables groaning with kingfish and one pomfret per person. In my youth my Mom expertly rationed one rechado pomfret on Sunday between four sons, my Dad and herself. Insist on local fish: sardines, velios, tisreos, catfish. Reserve the luxurious chonak, modso and larger fish for Sundays or feasts (like our ancestors did). A vegetable is also welcome. Here as well, go for the local field grown tambdi bhaji or lady fingers. At 4.00 pm, indulge in a cup of tea or chilled lemonade and a sweet. It was only at tea time that Goans enjoyed bolinhas, home made cakes and biscuits. Whether you work or not, have long evening walks. Better still bicycle and play a game which involves rigorous physical activity. Have an early dinner. Yes you are allowed one or two drinks prior. Here again, go local. It’s safer and cleaner to have a feni or urrack than a potent foreign liquor (Consume those on feast days). If one goes back in time, dinner comprised dal or meat with a vegetable preparation. Chickens and pigs were feasted on only during village feasts, family weddings and religious festivals. Nowadays, chicken, pork and beef are a daily affair. Not only has it been proven unhealthy for the liver, meat is not advisable at night due to the excess digestive impact when meat is consumed.

Sounds-of-Goa.Com Hearing and being there By Cecil Pinto Welcome to the interactive Free Demo version of Sounds-of-Goa.Com. This is the Limited Edition with only partial functionality and a restricted choice of modules. All content is stored on our online servers and streamed through your Personal Computer to your speakers. Enjoy the delightful sounds of Goa, throughout the day, wherever you might be located. [The cock crowing at dawn, while birds chirp. The baker blowing his poder horn. The smack of the rolled up newspapers against the door. The neighbour clearing his throat loudly over and over again before brushing his teeth. The chatter of children on their way to school, some ringing their cycle bells. Breakfast being prepared in the kitchen. The noise of vehicles dropping people to school and to work. Furniture being moved as floors are swept and mopped. FM radio blasting away in English, Konkani and every possible Indian language.] Goans and Goa lovers across the world can have ‘real’ sounds of Goa surrounding them at their workplace or their home, day in and day out. Goans in Goa too can recreate the ambience of a Goa different from where they live. The sounds are low volume ‘ambient’ background sounds and do not interfere with your normal PC sounds. Close your eyes and you will believe you are in Goa itself. All sounds have been captured live in Goa. [The honking of bus horns. The distant chugging of the train. The rattling of gas cylinders against each other in the gas truck. The women crying out from the open tempo that they have salt for sale ’Meet! Meet!’. The high pitched wail of the ‘glass, plate aur boshe walla’ who exchanges scrap for cutlery. The screech made by the knife sharpeners machine. The bells and ‘Ice krut!’ of the ice-cream vendors. The squeak of the neighbour’s gate opening is distinct from that of the well pulley – which goes on till the copper pot hits the water with a thud. The shidi’s journey back up makes a distinctly different sound on the pulley.] Now look at the sliding dials on your right. Each slider is labeled and can vary from Low on the extreme left to High on the extreme right. This small round dial here decides the time of the day. Normally the time of the day is picked from your computer’s internal clock. This Time Dial is best left untouched and should only be used if your computers clock is not in sync. Hearing Goan morning sounds in the evening might disturb your bio-rhythm. Some users though do tweak the Time Dial when they fly long distance to/from Goa. Apparently, if properly used, it can help eliminate jet leg but that is not the primary function of Sounds-of-Goa.Com [The old lady next door starts berating her Kannada maid in a variant of Hindi that has many Konkani words. The fisherwoman calls out to the ‘Bai ge’ of the house. So does the vegetable lady and the fruit vendor, ‘Borim kelin asat bai!’. In the distance the pig catcher and his dogs are in action. The wailing of the pigs clearly higher pitched than the yelping of the dogs. The farmer urging his bulls on to plough the fields with ‘Irri, irri!’. The sharp whip and curses of the man driving the bullock cart up the slope. In the distance someone else’s funereal cortege passes by with a solitary tinkling bell.] The first sliding dial is for Population Density with low signifying Remote Village and high being Crowded City. Like in every slider your choice will determine what you hear and how much of it. [The elderly uncle calling out “Ye! Ye!” followed by the grunt of hungry pigs eating. Dogs bark as the motorcyle pilot blows his horn to alert the maid that he has brought fish sent by the patrao. Cats mew as they smell the fish. The cawing of crows who gather for the entrails. Re: [Goanet] Our facile Goan Catholic Society .. It has changed !!!
But Eugene, weren't you too (like me) raising the point about how exclusivist Goan society tends to be; and how we exclude people on the basis of caste, ethnicity, class, migration and knowledge (or lack of knowledge) of a language? Let me put it bluntly... fluency in languages is not my forte. I've tried to learn Portuguese four times (unsucessfully), Konkani on as many occasions (and even in school), Marathi (in school too, equally unsucessfully), Hindi, German, Kannada (during my stint in Deccan Herald, and barely got beyond a couple of words), Russian, Dutch (in small stints due to my contacts with radio stations of these countries in my teenage days) and failed at all! Somehow, though I didn't like English while at school and college, I manage to earn my living from it. In the 'sixties, I felt excluded because I had a problem with even understanding Konkani (having just returned from abroad, as a two-year-old). In the seventies and eighties, I would be asked at every History seminar, But do you know Portuguese then? In the 'nineties, the lack of sufficient knowledge of Devanagari Konkani (which, by then, went along with the dominant dialect of Antruzi) was driven home at Konkani conferences one had to write about! Now, when Marathi newspapers play a dominant role with at least half of Goa's readers, I wish I was more fluent in that language to be able to go beyond the headlines. At the end of the day, regardless of selma-tics, eugen-ics or F(a)Nitics, I think we need to be less exclusivist with our approaches. FN PS: Are you suggesting that the large numbers of Goans in the diaspora, who might be less than fluent in Konkani (or wholly innocent of the language) lose their right to Goanity, however one defines that? What happens when some variants of Konkani (Antruzi or Bardezi) alone are considered acceptable while many other spoken dialects (Saxtti, Pernem or Kankon dialects) are not? Of course, the issue here was of incorrect usage of language. But I would not laugh off anyone who struggled to speak English... and it wouldn't make a difference as long as I understood that person's point. 2009/5/26 Eugene Correia gene_corr...@yahoo.com: Resending with minor correction. --- Selma wrote: Arrey baba, so what? [Goanet] Dempo undone by penalties: AFC Cup match in Kuwait
Dempo undone by penalties: AFC Cup match in Kuwait -By Gasper Crasto, Kuwait Kuwait: Dempo played their hearts out till the end but could not overcome the Arabs in the AFC Cup pre-quarter one-off knockout at Keifan Stadium here on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The physically strong Kuwait Sporting Club won the match 3-1. The Goan team was undone by 2 penalties awarded justly by the referee either half of the match. Dempo defenders John Dias and Valerian hacked down the Kuwaiti strikers in both instances while the other goal was scored off a corner kick lapse. Dempo striker Ranty Martins received marching orders after a second booking at the fag end of the match for arguing with the referee. The Kuwaitis struck in the 20th minute of the first half. That lead held until the 60th minute of the second half when the Arabs scored another unimpressive of their goals off a corner. However, when Brazilian Beto scored a goal for Dempo (2-1) in the 70th minute, things seemed interesting for Dempo coach Armando Colaco. Dempo looked superior to Kuwait at times in the second half with Sameer, captain Climax Lawrence, Anthony Pereira, Ranty and Beto combining superbly, but overall, the Kuwaitis had several near misses in the match. While the Dempo goalkeeper Abhijit Mondal was kept busy at work throughout, Dempos efforts to penetrate past Kuwait were bottled by 2 giant stopper backs and one of the tallest goalkeepers seen in football. Contrary to low key spectator expectations to the first match by a Goan outfit, the game was marked by a large number of expatriate (almost all-Goan) spectator response with some fans sporting the Dempo colors, and booing the ref with the famous Goan uushh. There were fans with drums, banners and the stand allocated for Dempo was over filled. It was an international match (if fellows in Indian organizations in Kuwait know the meaning) between one of the top Indian clubs and the Kuwaitis. The match was able to catch the imagination of many die-hard Indian football fans especially the number of Goans residing in Kuwait who are denied watching quality football in recent years. Thanks to the worthless administrators and promoters involved around, half the people playing are unaware of their own standings in local competitions, leave alone the chances of others. When Brazil played Kuwait at Keifan stadium in 2006, the stadium was jam packed. Dempo are no Brazil but given the popularity and fan following of the Goan team, the support received by Dempo was tremendous. One can imagine the difference in the spectator response; there were hardly any expatriate flies for the Kuwait match against Mohun Bagan a few weeks ago. In temperatures as high as 44°C, the best of players find it difficult to retain their balance or run at full speed and control the ball in a country like Kuwait at this time of the year. Cheers to Dempo for giving the Kuwaitis a run for the money. About the Writer Gasper Crasto is a former National level player. Played for Salgaocar from 1990-91 to 1998-99. Played in the National League and 2 Federation Cup Finals one against Mohun Bagan (Goa - 1993-94), other against East Bengal (Salt Lake, Culcutta - 1995-96), besides representing Goa at Santosh Trophy and playing in various tournaments. [Goanet] Serial killer’s latest confession brin gs total murders not to 11 but 12
Serial killer’s latest confession brings total murders not to 11 but 12 2 as on 27/05/09 Miss Deepali Jotkar 22, Davorlim, Margao Miss Bhagi Satarkar 30, Keri-Ponda It was also reported that the police recovered 10.5 lakhs of stolen melted gold from the the arrested Goldsmith to whom the alleged killer was selling over the years. It seems the Goldsmith, Mr. Ulhas Rivonkar got bailed out by a retired judge and an advocate who approached the Police soon after the arrest. It also appears that besides the 3 skeletons found, the bodies of most remaining also found over the years which police termed as ‘unnatural deaths’ If nobody else knew, I am sure, at least the Goldsmith knew something about Mahanand from whom he was receiving the Gold.
