Re: [H] cases ?
I have my gaming PC in something that looks a lot like this. The only difference is that mine has a little flip door on the front with USB and firewire ports underneath. Everything inside the case is layed out just like that one you posted. It works really well for HTPC/Gaming. Mine has an older i7 CPU and a GeForce 1080 video card. lopaka On Mon, Jun 15, 2020 at 2:48 PM _ Winterlight wrote: > I am thinking of building a media box for under the TV. Re: [H] cases ?
We moved my 8 core ryzen and mobo into this case for my son a while back and I really like it. It's got closed loop water cooling, plenty of fans and pretty quiet too. https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Computer-Chassis-Pre-installed-CA-1D5-00S1WN-00/dp/B00PDDMN6S Since I built my custom computer desk with all the mounts inside, I don't use computer cases any more :) lopaka On Mon, Jun 15, 2020 at 12:48 PM FORC5 wrote: > > admit some of the Fractal designs did catch > my eye. > > I will report my opinion on this case > > fuf > > On 6/15/2020 10:40 AM, James Boswell wrote: > > the BeQuiet dark base 900 is pretty damned nice, but almost all the > > machines I've built for the past... decade actually, have been in Fractal > > Design towers of some flavour. > > > > > > On Mon, 15 Jun 2020 at 18:03, FORC5 wrote: > > > >> Always been a Lian-li fan but the current > >> generation does not impress me ( I still use > >> ODD 5 1/4 drive bays) NO IDEA WHY ! > >> > >> My 10 tear old B-25F broke some parts on the > >> top panel not replaceable (fixed with epoxy > >> but not happy) > >> > >> plus it is old and no support for AIO closed > >> loop systems and ventilation could be batter > >> , ordered a Be Quiet dark base 900 (no > >> window, bling does not make it go faster plus > >> my skills at wire management are lame) :) > >> > >> was just curious what the pack likes these > >> days, as the wolf used to say, power is in > >> the pack :-D > >> > >> > >> fuf > >> > >> > >

admit some of the Fractal designs did catch my eye. Re: [H] cases ?
I've decided BeQuiet will be my next case, if I end up pulling the trigger on a new build. I'm sensitive to the noise generation though, so I figure maybe my requirements are different than most. the BeQuiet dark base 900 is pretty damned nice, but almost all the machines I've built for the past... decade actually, have been in Fractal Design towers of some flavour. [H] cases ?
Always been a Lian-li fan but the current generation does not impress me ( I still use ODD 5 1/4 drive bays) NO IDEA WHY ! My 10 tear old B-25F broke some parts on the top panel not replaceable (fixed with epoxy but not happy) plus it is old and no support for AIO closed loop systems and ventilation could be batter , ordered a Be Quiet dark base 900 (no window, bling does not make it go faster plus my skills at wire management are lame) :) was just curious what the pack likes these days, as the wolf used to say, power is in the pack :-D fuf
Re: [H] Cases
Steve, Plese take a serious look at Lian-Li cases. I bought 5 PC69 Mid-tower cases way back in 1999, and, they are still in-use today. They have 4x regular IO slots, 3x fdd slots, and the hdd/ssd cage (removable) mounts 5 devices. The PSU mounts in the upper-rear. The case is all aluminum and it cools very well via dual fans lower-front and single fan above card-cage (next to PSU) in the rear. No. I do not recall what I paid for them way back then, sorry. Best to you and yours, Duncan On 03/06/2016 20:05, Steve Tomporowski wrote: Over the next couple of months I'm going to build a new system. First comes the case. I tend to favor full tower cases with lots of room to work in. Which ones are good quality? I started reading about Thermaltake cases and came up with quite a few complaints on poor quality, but is that the norm? I'm really behind on current cases. My main system has a top mounted power supply. ;-) Recommendations? ThanksSteve
