Lol. Im wondering what spell checker / grammar checker he used. He got the dollar store version im afraid lol. The best part tho is that he is able to offer CS at $3 a slot using "the fastest multiprocessing servers made to date" Anyone wanna venture a guess at how many clients hes got to have on a box to make money on that? lol It would have to be dual xeon 3.6ghz or opteron 850's to make his advertising statement true. To rent a box like that with the amount of BW and ram you would need to put enough clients on to make money would cost you 300+ a month. If he built it then colo it it would be at least 100-200 for colo fees (using the amount of bw he would) plus the initial outlay of $3k+ per box. You couldnt put that many people on a box using IDE so it would be SCSI HDDS and the procs are easily 800-1200 per. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of John Sent: Friday, December 10, 2004 1:10 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] flynngaming.com ? wtf - watch out for this guy on your forums. It affects anyone - he could just as easily rent a server in uk or wherever and pull the same stunt on anyones site. He got my site from a gsp list site. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Scott Pettit Sent: Friday, December 10, 2004 5:15 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] flynngaming.com ? wtf - watch out for this guy on your forums. [hlds_linux] HLTV under CS: Source
Has anyone tried it? I got it to work, but when I connected it was bugs galore. No matter what I did, I could'n stick to one player, it was constantly switching no matter what I tried to do. :( Also, I couldn't get a slave hltv to connect. I just wanted to record demos 24x7 so I can review some demo after players complaints. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

Re: [hlds_linux] multi_manager
I take it it is more a map related problem then. The server is running scoutzknivez as the only map at the moment as per request of the clan that the server is hosted for. I did find information at www.valve-erc.com on the entity I/O ststem stuff and it looks like an issue the map maker would need to resolve and have contacted him. Ty for the information... Can someone explain what the server is doing whenn it report that it is "Attempting to creat unknown entity type multi_manager" "Can't init multi_manager" at the start of every round. Of course this is not something that gets loggd, it only shows up in the console. I am running the game process under screen, top shows it as srcds_amd.
