the other has my mouse. now these are the output of

well the output of the exercise was the dam thing
still did not work ...did not get loaded properly and

is power ...when i insert the Tape ...the drive

installed on LPT1 and the port on the ISA port.

Hi Every one

I have a Question to ask and if some one is
experienced in it, then please do shed some light on
this topic.

a user wants to use knoppix on a project that
involves a postgre based software to be used over lan
with 5 to 10 clients; similar setup at over 100
locations;to be connected together in future.

What are the chances of this succeeding while knoppix
gets selected over any other distro ?Can knoppix
(installed on hard disk) give this service efficiently
? What can be the pitfalls and problems that can be
expected? is it something worthwhile doing ? or is it
a failure even before it started?

what is the make and model of the modem. u can try
pctel modem driver or hsfmodem driver. u can search
for them on the net and download the relevent driver.

try this at the shell prompt type "xaumix" (without
the quotes) and either use the right (->) arrow key or
use the "+" key (with num-lock ON) and increase all
the values on the left colum to max. press "S" to save
and "Q" to exit. It worked for me.

at the same time also give some information about your
hardware configuration.

where by women can accept men as they are and STILL
come forward and make a difference rather than "be in
the stand and comment". So women can crib OR make a
difference to LUG as a whole group + Linux.
My request and invitation is for women to accept men
as they are and step forward and play in then LUG
field and make an enormous difference.

Well if the context of my statment is not understood
by some people who are challangedlet me state for
the general also...my statment was specific to the
discussion of women on th list. Unfortunately
understood beyond that.

Been there experienced that.
Well I HAVE BEEN CATCALLED N WISTLED BY GROUP OF WOMEN
UNKNOWN TO ME , SO let not make those kind of
statments again. As from your statment i undestand
that women are so dammingly oppressed.THAT IS your
understanding...MY BELIEF IS WOMEN HAVE EQUAL RIGHT TO
WORK AND PARTY.

Well this not the 1st time this topic has been raised
and then also i saw this discussion.

It is great that finally a women picked up an issue
which desperatly needs addressing as rightly said
...when 1 half of the people are not participating ,
how can there be an over all development.

Women just need to jump in and get the language
"barrier" resolved during the LUG meetings THAT is
what i am saying "by making a difference". AND PLEASE
DONT BE UNDER AN IMPRESSION THAT MEN WILL NOT STAND BY
THE WOMEN WHEN THESE ISSUES ARE RAISED. BE THERE AT
THE MEETING "TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE".

I see you deviated from the issue at hand ...of women
on the LUG.

Rather than contributing to the development of this
discussion for a permenant solution at hand u start
shredding other peoples comments. NOW this attitude is
keeping people away too. U dont understand some one's
statment request for clarification BEFORE u opine.

One does not know another individual to comment on
him.

I cant begin to comprehend the limited vision with
which the context of my statment is understood. :)
Well if this is the way individuals have an
understanding, so be it...I Accept their level of
understanding.

No more "social cause" statments from me. :)

Even though GRASS is available under GNU/Linux, it
definatly is not for the faint hearted. I have been
researching on GRASS for some time now and with my
experience of GIS/Photogrammetry and surveying for the
last 14 yrs+, it does require more than just basic +
advanced understanding of GIS.
Looking at Qgis...website ... that lookes feasible for
general GIS work. Presently d/l the s/w and
documentation. Can comment further only after
evaluating.
