Yes, it is possible to have more than one A type records for a host name. See RFC 1034. 2. Nope. According to RFC mentioned above it is clear that you cannot assign weights/distances to multiple A records. You can however do this for MXs. The RFC states --- quote from RFC 1034 5.2.1 - 1 Client-resolver interface functions --- Under the DNS, it translates into a request for type A RRs. Since the DNS does not preserve the order of RRs, this function may choose to sort the returned addresses or select the best address if the service returns only one choice to the client. Note that a multiple address return is recommended, but a single address may be the only way to emulate prior HOSTS.TXT services. --- quote from RFC end --- 3. For uploads and stuff like that, its quite low but still workable when you are traveling with a laptop. If its on windows, you can call using the card, it has handsfree socket and a dialer software. There have been a few suggestions.. 1. Selling or giving away GNU/Linux (Debian) CDs or/and DVDs. Experienced members please suggest how many CDs we may need so we can burn them up, any help in burning CDs is appreciated. 2. Selling T-shirts. 3. Selling GNU/books. A good suggestion. (Any specialists in Blender or other GNU software?) 5. Give away FSF-India and SPACE handouts. 6. Attend visitors, answer their question related to FSF's work. Are there any points where ILUG-D and FSF is overlapping? Are there any areas where we can get help from ILUG-D? (Help is needed in burning some CDs and DVDs) Please revert. Regards, -- Sameer N.
