card-nya atau mungkin dengan driver-nya.

Caranya adalah :

1. Yakinkan driver terpasang dengan benar
2. Coba Ping ke IP dia sendiri bagus tidak.
3. Baru Ping ke Router atau Gateway.

Untuk kasus seperti diatas coba dulu install ulang drivernya, check 
kabelnya.
Coba pindahkan ke Slot PCI yang lain.
Lihat juga settingan IPnya berubah tidak.

Sharing saja.
Saya pernah nge-ghost (pakai Ghost 2003) Mesin linux, dan berhasil.
Hanya saja grubnya kudu di install ulang, (boot pakai floppy diskboot
linux kemudian ketik "grub install") karena Ghost tidak bisa ngopy
Grub.
Menurut symantec, Ghost v9.0 bisa ngopy Grub, cuma saya belum pernah coba.

Ada 2 jawaban saya buat Anda,

1. Kalau program yang terinstall didalam sistem komputer tersebut
adalah program yang berlisensi, maka yang akan Anda lakukan tersebut
adalah Illegal, lebih kasian lagi kalo yang menjadi vendor sistem
tersebut sesama kita bangsa indonesia. Bagaimana kita sesama orang IT
bisa maju kalo juga dibajak oleh bangsanya sendiri :)
2. Kalaupun Anda bisa mencari Hardware spec yang sama persis, kemudian
bisa dicopy, tetapi maintenance tidak disupport bagaimana bisa
software tersebut dapat mempunyai nilai guna? anggap saja program
tersebut bisa berjalan beberapa bulan, kemudian tiba2 saja databasenya
macet, atau melambat, bisa2 malah merugikan.

Maaf bung Steph, semoga saja asumsi saya diatas tidak benar.
Bilamana memang tidak berkaitan dengan hak cipta / lisensi / sembunyi2
lebih baik panggil orang yang profesional dibidangnya, dan mintakan
buat ulang mungkin malah dengan spec yang lebih baik dari yang ada,
baik spec hardware maupun spec softwarenya sekalipun, palagi linux
sudah sangat terkenal dengan robust dan open source nya, database
server postgresql sudah teruji dan master databasenya dapat dengan
mudah di download dari Internet.

Melakukan cloning Database Sistem bukanlah ide yang baik, kecuali
memang sudah direncanakan pada saat disain dibuat.

Pak Marcello dan rekan lain yg perlu ... barangkali aja belum nemu cara lain.

untuk ms access, asumsi anda pake versi 2000.
untuk melihat isi dari file access dimaksud bapak bisa akses di tabel 
MSysObjects dalam file .mdb tsb, dimana tabel ini by default dibuat oleh system 
tetapi sengaja di 'hide' by default.
dari tabel tsb coba bapak pilih dua field saja yg perlu yaitu
- Name (ms access objects name)
- Type (object type)
Untuk field Type bapak bisa filter sesuai kebutuhan:
1 : local table
4 : link table
5 : query
-32768 : form
-32766 : macro
-32761 : module

dari info tsb bapak bisa kembangkan sendiri untuk diimport ke database yg 
diinginkan, untuk digabung dengan info dari mdb lain. cmiiw

  Saya musti periksa banyak file (puluhan sampai ratusan) MDB Access 2000-2002
  kecil kecil.
  Lagi mikir nih gimana caranya biar bisa masuk server dan mungkin di
  otomatisasi biar bisa dapet report apa isinya (tables, report, query, forms)
  setiap file MDB ini.
  Tapi belum terbayang bagaimana caranya. Mau google dengan kata kunci apa
  juga bingung. Nyari dengan "MS Access object browser" belum nemu hasil yang
  jelas.

  Tolong dong. Ada ide?

Nusantara membutuhkan komputer bekas dalam jumlah
banyak untuk sarana Taman TI (pelatihan komputer
gratis bagi anak-anak SMA tidak mampu, lulusan SMA
yang belum mendapatkan pekerjaan dan anak-anak putus
sekolah setingkat SMA) dan lokasi kosong di sekitar
Cikarang.

Spesifikasi komputer yang dibutuhkan adalah minimum
Pentium 3, HDD 10GB, Keyboard + Mouse standard, dan
monitor VGA 15 inch.

Untuk lokasi, kami butuh tempat baik rumah maupun ruko
untuk dijadikan taman TI di perkampungan atau pedesaan
di sekitar Cikarang.

Caranya adalah :

1. Yakinkan driver terpasang dengan benar
2. Coba Ping ke IP dia sendiri bagus tidak.
3. Baru Ping ke Router atau Gateway.

Untuk kasus seperti diatas coba dulu install ulang drivernya, check 
kabelnya.
Coba pindahkan ke Slot PCI yang lain.
Lihat juga settingan IPnya berubah tidak.

Itu saja semoga membantu.

[ITCENTER] Child Domain Windows 2000 Server

Dear All IT,

 

Mohon bantuannya teman-teman.

Saya sudah punya domain (PDC), saya mau install Exchange, exchange
sendiri perlu Active Directory, nah saya buat 1 server lagi pake OS
Windows 2000 Server. Saya mau aktiv directory sebagai CHILD DOMAIN,
kenapa ya enggak bisa terus konek ke PDCnya.

Kompiku tiba-tiba gak mau konek ke internet. Aku pake Ethernet/LAN Realtek,

Anda tidak menjelaskan versi Outlooknya.
Untuk Outlook 20002 dan sebelumnya, memang benar limit hanya 2 GB. Tapi
Outlook 2003 mampu menampung hingga 20 GB.

dear rekan2 it center
saya punya masalah ni sama monitor saya,monitor saya typenya IBM G41.
kenapa yah setingan buat resolusinya kalo saya peke wins XP ga bisa
dirubah ke 1024by768 fixel,tapi waktu pake wins 98 monitor ga ada
malah.refresh rate nya dah diganti paling rendah juga ga bisa.paling
mentok 960by600 fixel.setelah dirubah pasti langsung ngeblank.kenapa
di 98 ga pa2 yah??

Coba www.balict.net. Dari harga itu yg paling murah. Tapi gak tahu apa pulo
moyo termasuk jangkauan areanya. Pake speedy 350 rb / bln. Tapi ya gitu,
cuma 750 MB/ bulan. Kalau akses internet buat browsing2 dan ceting aja sih
cukup. Tapi kalo dah buat donlod lagu dan xxx ;), ya kurang
buanget...hehehe.

Windows Explorer Opens Search Companion Rather than

If the Windows Explorer opens up the Search Companion 
rather than opening up the actual folder, the default setting 
for opening a folder is changed.
To correct this:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shell
Edit the default value to be explorer or none

Guest Only Network Access
If you try and connect to an XP computer and are shown 
a logins screen with only the computername/Guest,
You may need to change one of the Local Security Policies:
Got to Control Panel - Administrative Tools
Go to Local Policies - Security Options
Check Network access: Sharing and security model for 
local accounts
Set it to Classic - local users authenticate as themselves

Hiding a XP Computer from Network Neighborhood
If you want to share files from a XP computer,
yet want to remove it from showing up in the Network Neighborhood,
Run net config server /hidden:yes

Easy Way to Share Multiple Folders
If you need to share multiple folders, running the program 
SHRPUBW.EXE will bring up a simple dialog box to let you:
Browse to the folder you want to share
Enter in a Share name
Ender in a Share description
Set permissions. Several choices are available
Restart the process from within the same program Go to top

Not Viewing Zip Files as Folders
If you want to turn of WindowsXP showing Zip files as folders,
just run:
regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll

Setting Capslock, Numlock, Scroll Lock
If you want to set the startup state for any or all of these keys,
you just need to edit the registry.
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Keyboard
Open InitialKeyboardIndicators
Change the value to one of the following numbers
0 - All Keys off
1 - Caps Lock on
2 - Num Lock on
4 - Scroll Lock on
For multiple keys, add their values:
3 - Caps Lock and Num Lock on
5 - Caps Lock and Scroll Lock on
6 - Num Lock and Scroll Lock on
7 - Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock on
Log off and back on again

Restoring Desktop Icon to the Quicklaunch Bar
If you mistakenly deleted the icon for the Desktop on the 
Quicklaunch toolbar
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\
Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
(where user_name is replaced by your login name)
Create a Text file called ShowDesktop.SCF with the following 
contents:

Network Access After Norton Anti-Virus Install
Sometimes you can't access a WinXP computer after installing 
Norton Anti-Virus. There might be a variety of errors at the other 
computer depending on the operating system.
On the XP computer, in the Event Viewer / System log, there 
will be the following error:
The server's configuration parameter "irpstacksize" is too small 
for the server to use a local device.
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYST

saya punya masalah ni sama monitor saya,monitor saya typenya IBM G41.
kenapa yah setingan buat resolusinya kalo saya peke wins XP ga bisa
dirubah ke 1024by768 fixel,tapi waktu pake wins 98 monitor ga ada
malah.refresh rate nya dah diganti paling rendah juga ga bisa.paling
mentok 960by600 fixel.setelah dirubah pasti langsung ngeblank.kenapa
di 98 ga pa2 yah??

Wah kalo pake DVB gituh, apa seperti telkomnet turbo? dulu kan pernah ada yah 
produk telkomnet turbo, yang akhirnya harus terkubur ... mungkin kurang populer 
kali yaa? atau speed nya sama aja ama telkomnet yang dial up?
   
  kan telkomnet turbo dulu upstream pake line telpon biasa (56K), downstream 
baru pake satelit DVB parabola. emang sih bener downstreamnya bisa sampe 512-an 
(ya iya laah... parabola gitu looh). tapi kan tetep harus dobel bayar provider 
nya (line telkom ama bandwidth dari telkom juga)
   
  yah segitu aja seh, kalo emang harus pake DVB, mending pake DVB yang external 
ajah. lebih canggih, en relaible dibanding yang PCI.

Mengenal Virus Komputer
  Ternyata, komputer bisa terserang virus juga. Sebenarnya virus komputer itu 
berbentuk apa ya? Kira-kira, virus komputer itu sama tidak ya dengan virus pada 
manusia? Lalu apakah virus komputer itu menular? Kemudian, bagaimana caranya 
agar komputer kita tidak terinfeksi virus? Ingin tahu jawabannya? Silahkan baca 
kelanjutan artikel berikut ini... 
  Dalam ilmu kedokteran, virus pada makhluk hidup adalah mikro organisme yang 
tidak dapat dilihat oleh mikroskop biasa, jadi hanya bisa dilihat dengan 
mikroskop elektron. Pada ilmu komputer, virus yang dimaksud adalah adalah 
sebuah program komputer yang memiliki kemampuan untuk menggandakan diri dengan 
cara menyisipkan program / script ke dalam sebuah file lain. Mirip seperti 
virus biologis, virus komputer dapat menyebar dengan cepat pada file-file dalam 
sebuah komputer, atau bahkan menulari file di komputer lain, baik melalui 
jaringan maupun lewat kegiatan tukar-menukar file. Saat ini banyak virus yang 
sengaja disebarkan melalui email. Oleh karenanya, jika komputer kita terhubung 
langsung ke internet, sebaiknya kita harus memasang antivirus dan upayakan agar 
selalu ter-update (diperbaharui). 
  Contoh Virus yang biasanya datang dari internet :

  Jenis Virus 
  Dahulu kita mengenal pembagian virus berdasarkan sasaran penyebarannya, yaitu 
virus boot sector dan virus file. Virus boot sector didesain oleh pembuatnya 
untuk menginfeksi boot sector, yakni bagian dari sebuah media penyimpanan 
(disket, hard disk) yang pertama kali dibaca oleh sistem operasi saat media 
tersebut diakses. Sekali media penyimpanan yang terinfeksi oleh virus jenis ini 
dipakai untuk melakukan booting, maka virus pun menetap di memory dan siap 
menginfeksi media penyimpanan lain yang digunakan di komputer yang sama. 
Belakangan, virus boot sector berkembang menjadi tipe yang lebih ganas, yaitu 
yang dikenal sebagai virus partisi (partition table). Tabel partisi adalah 
bagian pada hard disk yang menyimpan data-data CHS (cylinder/head/sector) yang 
menjadi pedoman bagi sistem operasi untuk melakukan proses pembacaan. Sekali 
bagian ini dihancur-leburkan oleh virus, maka tentunya hard disk tidak lagi 
dapat dibaca dan seluruh data didalamnya pun melayang. 
  Sementara itu, virus file bekerja dengan cara menyisipkan programnya dalam 
sebuah file. Dahulu, saat penggunaan sistem operasi DOS masih meluas, sasaran 
virus jenis ini adalah file-file executable, yaitu file yang namanya berakhiran 
dengan ekstensi .COM atau .EXE. Selain melakukan penularan, virus file 
seringkali menambahkan perintah-perintah tertentu pada kode program yang 
ditularinya. Umumnya virus semacam ini memiliki sifat sebagai "bom waktu", 
dimana program virus akan melakukan aksinya pada waktu-waktu tertentu yang 
telah ditentukan oleh si programmer. "Aksi" ini bisa bermacam-macam, mulai dari 
yang ringan seperti menampilkan pesan dan membunyikan speaker, hingga melakukan 
perusakan dengan menghapus data, atau bahkan memformat hard disk ! 
  Pada saat penggunaan program berbasis Windows mulai marak dengan aneka macam 
fitur, maka kita kembali mengenal satu jenis virus baru, yakni virus macro. 
Macro adalah serangkaian perintah, mirip perintah dalam bahasa pemrograman yang 
disediakan oleh perangkat lunak yang memungkinkan penggunanya untuk menyusun 
suatu rangkaian pekerjaan tertentu. Rangkaian perintah tersebut akan dijalankan 
sekaligus oleh perangkat lunak saat macro dijalankan. Fasilitas macro berguna 
untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam melakukan langkah-langkah yang berurutan dan 
berulang-ulang. Celakanya, fasilitas ini akhirnya disalahgunakan oleh 
tangan-tangan jahil untuk membuat macro yang berisi perintah-perintah penularan 
dan bahkan perusakan! 
  Jenis virus macro yang terkenal adalah virus WordMacro yang khusus dibuat 
untuk menginfeksi file data dari perangkat lunak pengolah kata Microsoft Word 
(berekstensi .DOC). Virus jenis ini memiliki hingga ribuan varian dengan aneka 
macam jenis gangguan. Mulai dari yang hanya menampilkan pesan pada waktu-waktu 
tertentu, hingga melakukan perusakan pada file. Virus WordMacro tergolong 
memiliki varian paling banyak karena kode-kodenya yang mudah untuk 
dimodifikasi. Disamping itu, mempelajari macro pada MS Word tidaklah sesulit 
mempelajari bahasa Assembly atau C (bahasa pemrograman yang sering digunakan 
untuk membuat program virus). 
  Menghindari Ancaman Virus 
  Sebagai pengguna komputer, ada beberapa langkah yang dapat kita lakukan untuk 
menghindari sistem kita dari ancaman virus maupun akibat-akibat buruk yang 
ditimbulkannya: 

   Pasang Anti Virus pada sistem komputer.

4.  Jangan letakkan benda apapun di antara keyboard dan layar laptop.

Seringkali penulis jumpai seseorang yang menggunakan laptop, kemudian 
meletakkan kertas-kertas di atas keyboard laptop, kemudian menutup laptopnya. 
Hal ini sangat berbahaya, karena risiko layar tergores menjadi besar. Tentunya 
Anda tidak ingin mengganti layar laptop gara-gara tergores bukan? Apalagi 
markir mobil disitu, bisa-bisa mobilnya lecet dan tergores.



5.  Jangan letakkan laptop Anda pada permukaan yang terlalu empuk.

Misalnya laptop Anda letakkan pada sofa yang sangat empuk, sehingga laptop 
menjadi terlihat agak tenggelam di dalam sofa. Ini adalah sangat berbahaya, 
karena dapat menghambat keluarnya panas dari dalam laptop dan menjadikan laptop 
Anda kepanasan. Jangan juga dipangku, nanti laptop jadi keenakan, khan empuk...



6. Berhati-hatilah ketika membawa laptop Anda di dalam tas.

Jangan gunakan sembarang tas untuk membawa laptop Anda. Gunakan tas yang memang 
digunakan untuk laptop sehingga benda-benda lainnya tidak akan menggores 
bagian-bagian tertentu pada laptop. Apalagi menggunakan tas kresek...huh pelit 
amat sih. Sebaiknya gunakan tas koper yang udah diisi baju-baju, biar kalau 
minggat laptop gak ketinggalan.



7.  Jangan pernah minum atau makan atau meletakkan minuman yang mengandung 
cairan di sekitar laptop.

Ini sangatlah berbahaya, karena laptop sangat peka terhadap cairan yang 
mengenai laptop, misalnya saja cairan yang masuk ke dalam keyboard.Berarti, 
kalau mandi juga jangan bawa-bawa laptop, apalagi berenang. (Lagian ngapain 
sih, mau mandi aja bawa laptop ? biar dibilang laptop-mania yach ??)



8.  Jangan pernah berusaha untuk membongkar laptop Anda sendiri.

Ini merupakan tindakan yang sangat tidak bijaksana. Laptop bukanlah seperti 
radio atau tape recorder biasa. Banyak bagian-bagian yang sangat kecil yang 
dari pabriknya saja sudah dirakit dengan menggunakan presisi robot. 



Jika Anda ceroboh, maka laptop Anda bisa rusak parah Bawalah selalu laptop yang 
rusak ke dealer atau service center dari laptop Anda. Kirim aja laptopnya ke 
Bang Helmy Yahya, biar bias bikin reality show lagi yang berjudul BEDAH LAPTOP.

bermasalah nga untuk  jarak kurang lebih dari 17 kilo??
saya udah coba untuk jarak 5 kilo speed nya 54 mbps nga ada masalah..
karena kata temen saya 1310 yang flash sebelum nya ada masalah dengan jarak
15 kiloan aja
