Bikin bootable USB XP dari flashdisk,
nanti kalau mau pake windows XP tinggal Booting dari flash disk aja.
Kalau make Win 8 ya flashdisk tinggal dihapus.
pakei flashdisk 16 giga dan 32 giga juga cukup.

Untuk windows 8 biasanya spec hardware sudah tinggi, jadi kalau di install virtual machine gak akan terasa lambat. maksudnya saya ,, mau dual OS windows 8 dan windows xp,, saya baru beli laptop dan OS nya original Windows 8, namun ketika saya pakai beberapa hari kurang nyaman dengan windows 8 banyak aplikasi yang tidak support,, kalau saya ganti OS sayang2 OS nya Ori, makanya saya mau Dual OS.. sudah saya atur boot ke cd sudah saya ganti beberapa cd windows Xp dan beberapa DVD windows 7 namun tidak ada yang ngebooting yang ada error hanya ada pilihan lanjut ke windows 8 atau masuk ke bios ??? Mas ade, Khusus win8 bawaan laptop pada uda disetting ke UEFI mode dan dalam keadaan UEFI mode tidak memungkinkan untuk diinstall OS ke 2 termasuk linux pun tidak akan bisa diinstal. Solusinya ubah setingan laptopnya ke Legacy mode sudah bisa selesain masalah anda. Dear Pak Ocki, Kalau lihat pesannya, msh banyak yang harus disetting dulu baru instalasi bisa berjalan dengan benar. 1. hostname: Unknown host coba lihat lagi hostnamenya 2. Please fix your /etc/hosts lihat lagi settingan hostnya Kalau sudah diganti tetapi belum bisa berarti belum bener gantinya. Pengalaman di sini yang sering gagal, kalau ini benar proses langsung lancar sampai finish. Saran saya : 1. Coba baca petunjuk instalasi Zimbra di Opensuse, ketik saja di google instalasi opensuse masim vavai ( beliau ada bikin tutorial bahkan trainingnya ) 2. Pengalaman Saya hampir semua sistim Linux Compatible dengan peripheral apapun, kecuali memang ada beberapa vendor mengharuskan load driver (Toshiba A75) misalnya, tapi sekarang hampir 99 % sudah bisa teratasi dengan banyaknya masukan dari pengguna/pengembang Mungkin patut dicoba 1. Jangan membuat partisi dari Windows 2. Biarkan Partisi kosong, misalnya C, D, E (E jangan di Partisi) 3. Segera reinstall windows anda dengan cd bootable windows dan lakukan format keseluruhan hdd anda dan sekanjutnya boleh lakukan partisi hdd (Jgn lupa simpan data penting anda sebel;um format HDD) 2. Jika masih terhenti pada setup starting windows, segera test dengan hdd yg lain (Kemungkinan terbesar adalah HDD trouble) dan lakukan reinstall windows pada Laptop. 3. Keping cd master windows atau hardware cd/dvd room drive bermasalah : lakukan pengecekan pada ke2 media ini. DH, Saya install driver sound HDA di MB Foxconn selalu muncul pesan Install driver High Definition Audio driver failure. Sudah saya ganti CD-nya dan MB-nya juga. Kalo gagal GUI/SafemodeGUI dr LiveCDnya, coba install pake Alternatif CD (text install). N kalo gak mau rubah partisi Windows (hanya sbg virtual hdd dlm folder windows), install aja wubi.exe dlm LiveCDnya.
