[JAWS-Users] Email Rules

2007-08-05 Thread Kerryann Ifill
Hey Guys,

I still have that weird problem with my rules for moving emails. I've double
checked and I only have moto folder and not copy to folder checked.
I've undone and reset the rules. I've even created new rules for new lists
and still the same thing is happening where a copy of the email is ending up
in one folder and another copy in a secondary folder.
Any ideas?

Kerry

Is this rule you have set up for an email list?
If so, does it happen for every email you receive from that list, or just
some?

Re: [JAWS-Users] Email Rules

2007-08-05 Thread Flor Lynch
You might have two rules for the same criteria but that do two different
actions. How are your rules defined? I use where the To: or CC: line
contains as my main rules definition, and it works well. Try stop
processing all rules for a time, see if any double copies come in then.
(If they don't you'll know it could be something in your rules. if they do,
then the duplicates could be something to do with your ISP.)

OK, in the selection that says, what would you like to do with the message,
make sure that you have only, move it to the specified folder checked and
not, move a copy to the specified folder.
Also, in the template, do you have, to a dristribution list checked and not,
from someone?

Send the file like normal. now max the window with alt + space bar
+x, and then hit b, to go to the cancel upload button. Then rout jaws
to pc and arrow up. You will get you correct info..
Another bug in html almost like the one that kills the browser and
jaws just for opening sometimes.

Any ideas?

[JAWS-Users] Fixing Mislabeled Graphic Re: AMessage Status in OE Advanced Find J 7.1

2007-08-05 Thread Margaret Thomas
Hi all,,

In addition to not saying Unread, JAWS 7.1 was also not saying
Attachment in the resulting message list view after doing an
Advanced Find
(Control-Shift-F) in OE 6 so I decided to try to manually label
graphics to see if it solved the problem.

I got JFW to say checked and unchecked after Advanced Find which
it wasn't doing and the state of the items is correct. I got it to
speak Attachment when there was one after doing a Control-Shift-F.
However, I pressed my luck and thought I had figured out that graphic
22 was supposed to be Unread and labeled itUnread. A test
determined that I blew that one and it did not make JAWS say Unread
in the resulting message list view. JAWS was saying Unread when I
routed JAWS to PC in the resulting message list view and I tried
getting it to say graphic 22 again and I was successful. I haven't
been able to figure out what graphic 22 is and sighted assistance is
not available.

JAWS is correctly speaking the number of unread items when I do an
Insert-pg down after Control-shift-F, gut it worked properly in JFW 7
and previous versions of JAWS as did the speaking of Attachment.

I remember that, for some reason, Advanced Find is somehow considered
to be part of XP Home and is not really part of OE or at least that
was the way it was with Win 98. At any rate I seem to be having to
configure things like muting the escape key again after hitting
Control-Shift-F after I've already done them in OE.

I did back up the more than one thousand files in shared files and
was thinking that I could replace whatever file has the labeled
graphics in Advanced Find with the original, but I don't know if which
one it is or if it would even work.

I'm running XP Home and IE 6.

Any help in not having to uninstall and re-install 7.1 would be
appreciated. I've lost count of the number of times I've already done
it.

Thank you,

Margaret

Hi All,

One is that the number of unread messages resulting from the
search is
correctly announced with Insert-pg down, but JAWS does not announce
Unread in the message list view. This worked properly in 7.0 here.

Hi Margaret, thanks for your help. I will give it a shot now and let you
know how I get on with it. It's amazing that Outlook Express is full of
shortcut keys; no where can I see controls that are not assigned to a
shortcut key. Microsoft really gave accessibility a serious thought
obviously when developing Outlook Express. Anyway thanks again.

 Chris,,

Advanced Find in Outlook Express is one of my favorite commands
and lets me find all sorts of posts I saved or find things from
 listserves quickly.

From the message list view in OE 6, press Control-Shif-F. JAWS
announces Find Message Dialogue and says look in and the name of the
folder you are in. Some of the more recent versions of JAWS say some
extraneous things here like adding reading only edit that you can get
it not to say. If you want to search in an OE folder other than the
one you are in, press alt b and you will get the folder list. To
search in the folder you are in, keep tabbing to find some of the
things you can search for. Tabbing 3 times is the place where you can
type in messages from a particular person, part of an e-mail address,
etc. Tab again and you get to where you can look for messages to
people lists, etc. Another tab brings you to subject if you want to
search for any part of what's in the subject field.
One more tab is for message if you remember anything in the message
body. The next 2 tabs get you to where you can search for messages
within a date range, say if you remember the message you're looking
for was written between april 1 and June 30 of this year. There's a
check box to check if you want to search for attachments. You can
search for any combinations of these items and if you search for
things in local folders, you can really increase the capability.

There are short cut keys too . If you want to search within the
folder you started the search with,, alt-r is the one to land you in
the from section. Alt-t for To;; Alt-u for subject; Alt-a for message
 and alt-h for attachment.

Hit enter when you've typed in all the items you want to search for
and you get a message list view with the results.

Hope that helps and you find Advanced Find as useful as I do.

I have Spybot - Search Destroy, Spybot - Search Destroy (for blind users)
and includes, that folder has 32 files. I think it is something to do with
spybot.

Should I delete one of the spybot programs, and what do I do with the folder
includes?

Patty, it would be safe to delete just the spybot search and destroy icon,
and perhaps send the other two to the recycle bin and see what happens. To
permanently delete a file, press shift in combination with the delete key.
This will bypass the recycle bin. Hope that helps.

 Hey Gang,

When I downloaded spybot I have three icons on my desktop, and I don't
know what to do with two of them.

I have Spybot - Search Destroy, Spybot - Search Destroy (for blind
users) and includes, that folder has 32 files. I think it is something to
 do with
 spybot.

Should I delete one of the spybot programs, and what do I do with the
 folder includes?

 Please help

Re: [JAWS-Users] safari web browser

Geoff and all, I then suggest you contact the accessibility team at Apple (I
shall give you the e-mail address if anyone wants it) and comment your
findings to them. They seem to be very willing to improve the accessibility
of products, at least for their mac products anyway. Good luck!

 Hi,
I downloaded it and installed it, but it was completely unaccessible even
 by
using the JAWS and invisible cursors to navigate around the application.
Then, I uninstalled it since it was not accessible.
 Hope this helps,
 Jeffrey
