Re: [JAWS-Users] setting up user accounts was How to remove Paragraph Mark from A Word Document
I cannot remember which OS you are using but in windows 7 on the start menu type in user accounts and then in the list of results that will pop up click on create standard user account. After you click on that choice, you will land in an edit field where you can type in the name of the user, so for kicks and giggles seeing as I do not know your wifes name, you can type in pete for this user account and after typing in your name tab to the createnew account button and press spacebar. You can also set passwords for the accounts, just go back into the user accounts options and look for make changes to accounts and there will be an option for setting up a password. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Pedro Romero Sent: Friday, April 08, 2011 11:46 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] How to remove Paragraph Mark from A Word Document Hi Alan. [JAWS-Users] question on MLB listening online
There is an option to purchase yearly the ability to listen to the games using the MLB website. I have a couple of questions before I do this. 1? Is the player MLB uses accessible with JAWS. I have JAWS 11 and 12 both on my computer. 2. It gives me the choice to have home, away or alternate games. If anyone is using this, does that mean that I can only listen to whichever I have chosen from these options or can I opt to hear any game I want, and if I can opt, does JAWS make selecting easy when the game is actually playing? 3. Have people found the website accessible as far as getting online help? Thank you. Vicki My heart is in his hands. Hi Folks, Economics dictate that I upgrade my computer skills from Windows-XP, JFW 10.x and MS-office-xp to Jaws 12, Windows 7 and ms-office.latest. I will be installing all of this on a laptop. The system will be used primarily in a business environment. For-better-or-worse, JFW is-what-it is however I need suggestions for a good reliable laptop, the the most stable version of windows-7 and ms-office. I will continue to use IE as my internet browser while attempting once again to make friend with fire-fox. MLB is great and very accessible. I've been with them since it's inception. You can choose whichever game you want by entering on the listening link of the team you'd like. The accessible player has a stop, pause, volume up and volume down buttons. You won't be able to listen to the archived games with the accessible player however. everything you said is true and correct. The only way you can fast forward to get past pre-game stuff is to go to the regular bandwidth site of mlb and have a sighted person use the mouse. What a pain! But at least the MLB site works a heck of a lot better than the NBA audio league pass. I have not been able to make that thing work for two years. Thank you, David. Great directions! My problem is that there are times when I go to the manage wireless networks and the network I have just connected isn't there. Right now, I have three networks in my manage wireless networks. The other day, I used these same directions that someone sent me a few weeks ago. and this worked perfectly. That night, I connected with the network at the Laquinta Inn, just to see if my problem was solved. With this network connected, I found that the network did not appear in the manage wireless connections area. I found the same to be true when we visited our Toyota dealership. Is there something I need to adjust? David, this is not a must. I just am interested in find out the answer. Thanks to you, and other members of this group for your patience. Re: [JAWS-Users] Time to upgrade
Well, I know it's not very popular, but my Gateway laptop is still chugging along and it is 5 or 6 years old. I haven't needed to call for help, in so long, I don't remember when the last time was. Good luck! [JAWS-Users] ? re write speed combo box in Image for Windows settings
My DVD device and discs are both 16x- but discs are single layer, I think. So would it be correct that I need to drop down to the 8-1x write speed since the only listed 16 looks like it must be for a dual-layer DVD? Sorry if the question is awkward- the DVD writing stuff is all new to me ;) Cher For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
Re: [JAWS-Users] ? re write speed combo box in Image for Windowssettings
Your DVDs should indicate on the package but if you are in doubt then drop the speed down. Just make sure you verify everything because fast won't matter if the image isn't created successfully. So check all of the boxes in that section. Re: [JAWS-Users] ? re write speed combo box in Image for Windows settings
Am I interpreting the combo box correctly- that is, that the 16-2x means a dual layer disc? I am assuming that I cannot use that one if the discs are single layer- am I crazy? Thanks. Re: [JAWS-Users] ? re write speed combo box in Image for Windowssettings
You are reading it incorrectly. It is giving you the DVD speed compared to CD speed. I always use single layer disks but you can use double disks if you wish. In fact I might get some one fine day to cut down on the total number of disks in an image. David Ferrin ow...@jaws-users.com I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I'll probably screw that one up too. - Original Message - From: Don Cher Bosch oneagleswin...@bellsouth.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, April 09, 2011 8:36 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] ? re write speed combo box in Image for Windowssettings Am I interpreting the combo box correctly- that is, that the 16-2x means a dual layer disc?
