Re: [JAWS-Users] IE8 & Dropdown menu
I just visited that site and was able to click on the link in question without any problem, and access the support services page. This is a mouse-over link, so perhaps you have to reactivate the mouse-over feature in JAWS. You might also try to activate the link from the Context menu, if you haven't already tried that. If that doesn't work, try clicking on the link using SA to Go , which I have found to work on "dead" links when JAWS doesn't. Hope they catch the perp. LOL! SHIFT-right-ARROW to select columns B and E. ALT-H O down arrow to hide/unhide and enter. Down arrow to unhide columns and enter. Now columns C and D should be there. The trick to unhiding columns is you have to select the visible column to the left and right of the hidden columns. Hope this helps. Re: [JAWS-Users] IE8 & Dropdown menu
Hi Gerald & RJ; I would like to thank the both of you very much for your extremely helpful information. I was able to get where I needed to go but, using the mouse over keystroke was of no use. I would get the message, " could not detect change in content." What did work using Jaws12 was doing a right mouse click or using the applications / context menu key. With Jaws13, it worked exactly as advertised! Thank you RJ, this is my first time using this feature in Jaws13. Now, the report has been filed & hopefully the police will be able to make the landowner take care of his property! Thanks again to the both of you! Take care. Dear David, Yes, it is a freeware program, I took it off Debbie Scales JFWLite web site about 7 or 8 years ago. The program is still there if some one wants to go to her site! JFWLite.com Her husband has left it up since 2006 in Memory of her. She was an incredible lady and I learned most of what I know about JAWS and Windows from her starting in 1999! She passed away September 4, 2006, after a minor accident while riding a tandem bicycle with her husband! You need to be in the lower ribbon under the Message tab which contains the items Delete, Respond, Quick Steps, Move, tags, Editing and Zoom. Then press m for the Move sub-menu, then a for Actions and finally v for View in browser. Also in JAWS 13, you can press JAWSkey+Shift+w to view a HTML message in the browser without going to the ribbon at all. The documentation on the FS web site says Insert+Shift+w, but if you are using the laptop keyboard layout, you must use Capslock+shift+w. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rose Combs Sent: Monday, September 26, 2011 02:34 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook 2010 problem The best reason I know of to learn the ribbon and not use the virtual ribbon, once thought it was a great feature, but turned it off when I could not convert those e-mails with the alt H, then a, then e keystrokes and could not find its equivalent in the virtual ribbon. you could have alt control j for one version, alt shift j for another, controlk shift j for another, and alt control shift j for another, and there's no law which says you must use the letter j in any shortcut key combo for JAWS. - Original Message - From: "Trish" To: Sent: Saturday, October 01, 2011 1:05 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Control+Alt+J I just had to do that too. David, If you see our messages, could you kindly explain how to access added clocks? Both Alex and I have added a clock we believe, and both of us can&t see them.
