[JAWS-Users] JAWS 12, Win 7, and Outlook 2007

2011-09-30 Thread East, Robin
Folks, I have a friend that is using JAWS 12, windows 7 64 bit 16 gig

The issue is when in the inbox of Outlook one can delete a message and
instead of going to the next message the previous message is announced.
So one has to always arrow down once to open up the next message.I am
using Outlook 2003 as well as outlook 2010 and the behaviour I have with
windows 7 in both cases is when I delete a message focus goes to the
next message not the previous message.

So those using Outlook 2007 can you tell me what can be done to get the
desired behaviour here.

Thank you in advance.

Actually,, what happens is that it is deleted of off Facebook, but for some
reason they store the information in case you ever want to reactivate your

I actually teach a Facebook class with using jaws for my firm and have set

gone and no one can get to your info unless you reactivate.

Hope this helps.

I just visited that site and was able to click on the link in question
without any problem, and access the support services page. This is a
mouse-over link, so perhaps you have to reactivate the mouse-over feature in
JAWS. You might also try to activate the link from the Context menu, if you
haven't already tried that. If that doesn't work, try clicking on the link
using SA to Go , which I have found to work on "dead" links when JAWS
doesn't. Hope they catch the perp. LOL!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 12, Win 7, and Outlook 2007

Folks, I have a friend that is using JAWS 12, windows 7 64 bit 16 gig
RAM, and Outlook 2007.

Hi

When you're in a HTML message in Outlook 2010 with virtual ribbon turned on,
press Alt=h to go to the ribbon. You need to be in the lower ribbon under
the Message tab which contains the items Delete, Respond, Quick Steps, Move,
tags, Editing and Zoom. Then press m for the Move sub-menu, then a for
Actions and finally v for View in browser. Also in JAWS 13, you can press
JAWSkey+Shift+w to view a HTML message in the browser without going to the
ribbon at all. The documentation on the FS web site says Insert+Shift+w,
but if you are using the laptop keyboard layout, you must use
Capslock+shift+w.

[JAWS-Users] A simple Day by Day calendar

2011-09-30 Thread Alan Dicey

Dear David,
Yes, it is a freeware program, I took it off Debbie Scales JFWLite web site
about 7 or 8 years ago.

The program is still there if some one wants to go to her site!
JFWLite.com

Her husband has left it up since 2006 in Memory of her.
She was an incredible lady and I learned most of what I know about JAWS and
Windows from her starting in 1999!
She passed away September 4, 2006, after a minor accident while riding a
tandem bicycle with her husband!

She went to bed that night, and never woke up, as she died because of a
small blood vessel that had been broken in her brain.

So very sad!

With Best Regards,
Alan

Dear Chris,
There is a real simple, very small program completely JAWS friendly I use
called:
Day By Day
It does exactly what you said you wanted to know.
It is a calendar type program.

Perhaps some on this list are using it, as I sent it around to many folks
once.

If you want it let me know and I shall send it to you.

Hi,

I am still fairly new to the world of JAWS. I have JAWS 12 and Windows
XP and using Office 2003. I would like to know if it is possible to get
the calendar to read out the actual day too. As at present when looking
through my calendar I have no idea what day of the week the 1st of March
lands on etc.

Can anyone help or give me some tips?

Yes, it does work on Win 7. You can add up to two additional clocks.
Press Win + b, find the clock, do JAWS to PC and you can right-click
on the clock. Alternatively, you can add a click from Control Panel.

But there is something I have never been able to figure out. David,
would you shed some light on how to see the additional clock? JAWS key
+ f12 does not do that, I know, and I don't know how to see the other
clock. Even with JAWS cursor, I can not find the added clock. Sorry
... I must be such a dummy.

I am on Win 7 with JFW 12.

Thank you in advance. This would be very helpful, indeed.

Hello;

I have Jaws 10, Jaws 12, and now Jaws 13 on my XP computer. Jaws 12 is set
as the default.

I had Control+Alt+J set to launch Jaws 10. I went to the properties of the
Jaws 13 desk top icon and assigned Control+Alt+ J as the launch hot key.

I unloaded Jaws 12 and pressed Control+Alt+ J. Jaws 10 came up. The
properties of the Jaws 13 icon still shows Control+Alt+J as the hot key

In the past assigning a key stroke to a newer version would override the old
setting. This is not a big deal but I am wondering if this new scenario is
what FS expected. t

Re: [JAWS-Users] Daily tip

2011-09-30 Thread Eri
David,

If you see our messages, could you kindly explain how to access added
clocks? Both Alex and I have added a clock we believe, and both of us
can&t see them.

Sorry for the trouble, David, but I appreciate your help. How are you
doing this? I am sure I am not understanding something about or
missing a JAWS function.
