Re: [JAWS-Users] Big problem with Face book
Hi Listers, I have also had trouble with erroneous information being in my profile. Another thing is, when I start to type a name, even my own, and I have a friend with the same first name, Facebook wants to insert the friends name in place of mine or the other person's. So, now it's better since I am using the mobile Facebook site. By the way, the proper address for the mobile site is http://www.m.facebook.com Have a nice day, Michael Boyd Retired Structural Engineer New Orleans Area -- From: Kevin Lee klee...@gmail.com Sent: Friday, April 04, 2014 10:54 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Big problem with Face book the only way it can be deleted is help from a sighted person. I know because this is what happened to me. Hi Sugar, To remove the protected view from a document, do this: 1. Highlight the document in question. 2. press the Applications key and click on Properties. 3. In the General Tab, tab down until you hear Unblock and click on this. Re: [JAWS-Users] MSE Flagging MY PC As Potentially Unprotected
Nope. Using the JAWS cursor to read the infornation on the NSE History tab, there is a message at the top of the page that myPC status is potentially unprotected, but no expanation as to why. As I mentioned previously, I suspect that MS is deliberately flagging XP computers as unprotected, when, in fact, this is not actually the case, to scare XP users into upgrading to Windows 8 even though support for the XP version of MSE will continue through July, 2015. MS has done a splendid job of convincing the mainstream media that XP computers will all be rendered into useless paperweights by the nasty boys of cyberspace after support for XP ends on Tuesday. Hi It looks like control+alt+v will give useful information for Internet explorer. It tells me I'm running version 10.something. But for programs that use something different to identify their version, the version number may not help answer your question.
