No, you need to finish installing and running the program. You may need to use
your jaws cursor some to do this but tab around and use the jaws cursor and you
will find different things that need to be answered and then you click on the
next button and just keep following the prompts it will take you through it

Yes. I run it and it found several malware that took over my IE. I did
the trial version and deleted the virus. Restart my PC, and I think it is
gone. However the program did not install.

Holger,
Extremely urgent!
1. Do not call that number. Your system has been contaminated by malware.
If you call the number, someone will offer to fix your system for hundreds
of dollars USD.
2. You have two choices.
A: Create a system Restore point and take it back at least a month.
B: Contact Microsoft Disability Support and they will assist in removing
the malware.

This kind of problem is unfortunately quite common these days.
NOTE: If this isn't your problem, please relay it to the person with the
Kidnap malware issue.

According to Microsoft Disability Support, the only effective way to remove
something like that is with a really strong anti-virus program like Hitman
Pro or Avast.

I'd like to see someone develop a piece of software that would find these
people and then destroy their computers.

found which is of course good news. The windows update
failure continues. However, I still might buy this product.

As for when I use the Jaws cursor I noticed if you check the
license agreement I could not tab to next so I had to use
the jaws cursor at that point to find the next button at the
bottom of the screen. Once I did that everything became
accessible with the PC cursor.

No, you need to finish installing and running the program.
You may need to use your jaws cursor some to do this but
tab around
and use the jaws cursor and you will find different things
that need
to be answered and then you click on the next button and
just keep
following the prompts it will take you through it

Holger,
Extremely urgent!

Alan,

Yes, this is a one time deal, but this is like a free trial that will last
for several scans. If you purchase the Pro version, you will not have to
download everytime, but the program should install onto your computer to be
used at your leisure for the license

Hi Alan,

You need to click on the Downloads link of course, and listed will be the
Hitman Pro 32 bit version, the 32 bit version with Kick start, and next you
will find the Hitman Pro 64 bit version with the download link, which says
Setup instead. This is the one that a 64 bit computer owner will want. When
you run the program, leave all of the check boxes as you find them, and
start the scan. Hitman will scan and delete any malware found, but it will
not remove anything which is a false threat, in other words, anything that
your system needs to run properly.

Tom,

You could either select the Run or Save button after pressing enter on the
Setup link, in either case, after starting the program , you should have
gotten to a window where you could tab down to where it will say No! I want
to run a one time clean up of my PC. and the check box should be checked.
Next, tab down until it prompts you to enter your email address, and then to
confirm this. upon doing this, the scan will start, and after finishing, the
program should identify any threats found and delete them from your
computer.

Have you used this and is it totally jaws friendly? Also, I went to the

Hi Alan,

You need to click on the Downloads link of course, and listed will be the
Hitman Pro 32 bit version, the 32 bit version with Kickstart, and next you
will find the Hitman Pro 64 bit version with the download link, which says
Setup instead. This is the one that a 64 bit computer owner will want. When
you run the program, leave all of the check boxes as you find them, and
start the scan. Hitman will scan and delete any malware found, but it will
not remove anything which is a false threat, in other words, anything that
your system needs to run properly.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Excel 2010 Pivot Tables

2015-02-17 Thread Dave Carlson
Here's something that might help.

Quick reference card
PivotTable I - Get started with PivotTable reports in Excel 2007

. Overview of PivotTable reports and PivotChart reports
. Design the layout and format of a PivotTable report
. Select different source data for a PivotTable report
. Group items in a PivotTable report
. Connect to (import) external data
. Connect to (import) an OLAP database
. PivotTable II: Filter PivotTable report data in Excel 2007

Prepare the source data

Here are recommendations for setting up your Microsoft® Office Excel® 2007
worksheet for an Excel 2007

PivotTable® report:

list of 3 items
. Make sure each column has a heading. These column headings are used to
name the fields in the PivotTable

report (a field summarizes multiple rows of information
from the source data).
. Put similar data in each column. For example, text items in one column,
numbers in another column, and dates in

another column.
. Remove any blank rows or columns.
list end

Note If you open in Excel 2007 an Excel workbook created in a version prior
to Excel 2007, and you create an

Excel 2007 PivotTable report, the layout area
will be in Classic PivotTable layout instead of in the Excel 2007 layout. To
avoid this, follow these steps:

list of 4 items
1. Save the data as an Excel 2007 file.
2. Close the workbook.
3. Open it again.
4. Create the PivotTable report.
list end

If you do this before you create the PivotTable report, the layout area will
be in Excel 2007 layout.

Create a PivotTable report
list of 2 items
1. Select a cell or range of cells.
2. Click the Insert tab. In the Tables group, click the arrow on PivotTable,
and on the menu, click PivotTable.

The Create PivotTable dialog box opens.

3. Select a table or range is already selected for you. The Table/Range box
shows the range of the selected data.
4. New Worksheet is also selected for you as the place where the report will
be placed (you can click Existing

Worksheet if you don't want the report placed
in a new worksheet). Click OK.
list end

On the left is the layout area ready for the PivotTable report, and on the
right is the PivotTable Field List. This list

shows the column titles from the
source data: Each title is a field in the list.

list of 1 items
5. In the field list, select the check boxes next to the fields that you
want to add to the report.
list end

Fields are automatically added to the report. Fields that are non-numeric
are added to the Row Labels area of the

report. As you add more non-numeric fields,
Excel places them on the inside of fields already on the PivotTable report,
building a hierarchy. Numeric fields are

added on the right.

list of 3 items
. To remove a field from the report, clear the check box next to the field
name in the field list.
. To remove all the fields from a report so that you can start over again,
click the Options tab on the Ribbon under

PivotTable Tools. In the Actions group,
click the arrow on the Clear button, and then select Clear All.
. To delete the entire report, click the Options tab. In the Actions group,

You can group data that contains dates or times by following these steps. To
manually group selected items, see the

Help topic about grouping under See

list of 2 items
1. Right-click a cell in the field you want to group, and then click Group.
In the Grouping dialog box, select an

region.

Pivot a report

When you pivot a PivotTable report, you transpose the vertical or horizontal

column area or moving columns to the row

A number of the changes evidently

information on the web page might allow them to decide if there is any
reason to do so. The link is:

Well, you're correct. I located the check box for installing Google Chrome
on the Install page of the downloader by using the JAWS cursor. But
clicking on this check box with the left mouse button gives no indication of
whether the box is checked or unchecked, so if you are not careful, you may
wind up re-checking this box by accident . In any case, I installed
Unchecky so that this check box will automatically be unchecked the next
time I update CCleaner. Perhaps this useful little utility should be added
to the JAWS Users programs page, which,by the way, now has a warning
accompanying the CCleaner download link to be careful about inadvertently
 installing unwanted programs.

 Hi Gerald,

Normally you'll find the Google / Google Chrome checkboxes while
you're on the Install button. When you're on the Install button,
route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor, press the page-up key to go to
the top of the page, arrow down 1 line at a time. You'll need to
uncheck the checkboxes with Numpad slach or left mouse button. Also
there is a little program called Unchecky that will stop this as well.
 Info is below:

 From: Carlos
Anyone who is concerned about unintentionally installing promotional
software may be interested in trying Unchecky.

 http://unchecky.com/

It runs in the background as a service and monitors for recognized
installers. It then automatically unchecks any checkboxes related to
installing toolbars, browsers, and similar unwanted products. I have
not thoroughly tested the program and it is not guaranteed to catch
everything, but there have already been several updates since the
initial release so I'm sure it's detection rate will improve.

It's either Ask or Chrome or a few similar bun unnecessary, but you

So now you can use C Cleaner to un install chrome.

Hitman Pro from surfright.com. This is what Microsoft accessibility uses
when they scan your computer for viruses and malware. You can download it

it must be downloaded again. Catches everything and deletes it.

when you execute analyze when it is finished go tab to the process and if it
displays zero defrag you don't need to defrag, if the number is anywhere
above zero defrag. but yes after analyze is complete defraging must be

Hitman Pro 32 bit version, the 32 bit version with Kick start, and next you
will find the Hitman Pro 64 bit version with the download link, which says
Setup instead. This is the one that a 64 bit computer owner will want. When
you run the program, leave all of the check boxes as you find them, and start

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws-friendly, effective portable Antivirus

2015-02-17 Thread Mike Boyd

Re: [JAWS-Users] Warning About Downloading CCleaner From JAWS UsersPrograms Page

2015-02-17 Thread Gerald Levy

Hi Gerald,

Normally you'll find the Google / Google Chrome checkboxes while you're on
the Install button. When you're on the Install button, route the Jaws
cursor to the PC cursor, press the page-up key to go to the top of the
page,

arrow down 1 line at a time. You'll need to uncheck the checkboxes with
Numpad slach or left mouse button. Also there is a little program called
Unchecky that will stop this as well. Info is below:

From: Carlos
Anyone who is concerned about unintentionally installing promotional
software may be interested in trying Unchecky.

http://unchecky.com/

It runs in the background as a service and monitors for recognized
installers. It then automatically unchecks any checkboxes related to
installing toolbars,
browsers, and similar unwanted products. I have not thoroughly tested the
program and it is not guaranteed to catch everything, but there have
already

been several updates since the initial release so I'm sure it's detection
rate will improve.

I've used this program for quite awhile now it works great!
HTH
Take care.

That's the problem. I could not find any check box for installing Google
Chrome anywhere on the downloader interface, and I checked each page
carefully with the JAWS cursor. I wound up removing it using Revo
Uninstaller. If anyone else can find the elusive check box for installing
Chrome, please let me knoe how to locate it so that I do not get screwed
over again the next time I install a new version of CCleaner.

Gerald,
Unfortunately that's quite normal with 'modern' software installers.
It's either Ask or Chrome or a few similar bun unnecessary, but you have
the option to uncheck the install box during setup, IF of course you can
find it.
So now you can use C Cleaner to un install chrome.

Re: [JAWS-Users] anti virus

2015-02-17 Thread Steve
Maybe you don't have a virus; your malware, if you have any, could be
something else.

Try running AdwCleaner. Each time you want to run it, you need to
re-download it as it doesn't install on your computer.

It is totally accessible, and will identify tons of stuff.

It will put them in categorized lists that you can browse. Uncheck anything
you don't want it to remove.

You will probably have eight tabs or so of stuff--things it finds for each
browser, files, programs, registry entries, etc.

https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

It is completely accessible with any screen reader I've tried with it.

Hitman Pro 32 bit version, the 32 bit version with Kickstart, and next you will
find the Hitman Pro 64 bit version with the download link, which says Setup

Maybe you don't have a virus; your malware, if you have any, could be
something else.

Try running AdwCleaner. Each time you want to run it, you need to
re-download it as it doesn't install on your computer.

It is totally accessible, and will identify tons of stuff.

It will put them in categorized lists that you can browse. Uncheck anything

You will probably have eight tabs or so of stuff--things it finds for each

 Gerald,
Unfortunately that's quite normal with 'modern' software installers.
It's either Ask or Chrome or a few similar bun unnecessary, but you have
the option to uncheck the install box during setup, IF of course you can
 find it.
So now you can use C Cleaner to un install chrome.

Re: [JAWS-Users] message from web page

2015-02-17 Thread John Justice
Holger,
Extremely urgent!

2015-02-17 Thread David Ferrin
I might post unchecky if I can figure out if it is free for me to do so. It
has a license agreement that is longer than the deed to my house, marriage
license and income tax forms all put together.

If you think I am exaggerating folks take a look at it for yourselves.

I've used this program for quite awhile now it works great!
 HTH
 Take care.
 Mike

That's the problem. I could not find any check box for installing
Google Chrome anywhere on the downloader interface, and I checked each
page carefully with the JAWS cursor. I wound up removing it using
Revo Uninstaller. If anyone else can find the elusive check box for
installing Chrome, please let me knoe how to locate it so that I do
not get screwed over again the next time I install a new version of
CCleaner.

 Gerald,
Unfortunately that's quite normal with 'modern' software installers.
It's either Ask or Chrome or a few similar bun unnecessary, but you
have the option to uncheck the install box during setup, IF of course
 you can find it.
So now you can use C Cleaner to un install chrome.

I just downloaded the latest version of CCleaner, version 5.0.2,

also installed, much to my chagrin. Using the JAWS cursor to
examine the installation options in the user interface, I did not
come across any check box or other means of preventing Google Chrome
from being installed along with CCleaner. I do not remember having
this problem in the past, so it looks like Puriform is now forcing
Chrome down your throat whether you want it or not. Chrome is still
not especially JAWS accessible, and removing it is a real pain.
Therefore, I suggest that a warning be added to the CCleaner
download link that downloading and installing CCleaner will also
result in the installation of Google Chrome, which is nothing but
unwanted crapware for most JAWS users.
