Hello Charles:
When you say "click on a button", do you mean enter or the left mouse
button or right mouse button? When I strike enter, little happens.
How do you check for the last scan?
 Thanks. Neil

Hello AL,

Thanks for explaining that. I am aware of the differences of mailbox’s vrs

IMAP as the phone will not let me setup POP 3. So the only

understand this is IMAP folders, info, etc. is maintained at
the ISP server; POP 3 folders etc. you create are on the

My ISP has recently changed servers, so I changed it in tools/accounts for

POP with email client using Window's Mail.

So after changing on the server tab from the old server based on what my ISP

changes and ok it and close out the accounts.
But then I get a pop-up from Window's Credentials wanting me to give my user

is checked here to remember or for security purposes.
This is a nightmare, cause this *bi*** will not go away and keeps asking

I can alt-tab back to inbox, but no mail, huge sigh here.

so is there a work around this most annoying pop-up, what would happen if
the checkbo is not checked on the credentials?
I cannot create another email account because WM does not like
multi-identies.
so am I just like stuck here? The server goes back to the old settings and
all is fine, no pop-up, no issues, mail comes in.

And my ISP gets paid to give wrong info apparently, lol

Hi Brian,
Windows live mail 2012.
Simple interface.
Easy to set up multiple accounts and maintain them.
You can see all your different email account boxes in a list view.
Just tab one time to the message view.
Storage boxes as well, at the bottom of the email boxes list, are very
convenient and easy to move email into that you wish to save.

Trish,

So, you are saying you have an IMAP and a POP 3 account set up for the same
email address on the same computer? I have never heard of this, although that
is not saying it can't be done, and unless you are using separate email
clients and/or identities within the same client I don't understand how it can
happen. That said, and this is just my opinion, I think once you delete that
POP 3 account, those folders are gone and not accessible through IMAP.

An earlier post said that the paid version of AVG was accessible. Glad to
hear it for that person. I have the paid version of AVG, and don't really
find it very accessible.
For example, I can't figure out how to change the scan settings, even though
there exist a button for it under scan options. Also, if I arrow all the way

A friend set up the schedule. I don't know how to determine when the last

Hi Brian,
Windows live mail 2012.
Simple interface.
Easy to set up multiple accounts and maintain them.
You can see all your different email account boxes in a list view.
Just tab one time to the message view.
Storage boxes as well, at the bottom of the email boxes list, are very
convenient and easy to move email into that you wish to save.

something other than outlook. If you would simply mentiona couple of
features you like, that might help.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws And Office 2007 Calendar

Hi all. I am currently using the latest build of Jaws 17 and Microsoft
Office 2007 on a windows 10 computer.
My issue is with the calendar in Outlook. When I try to move between the

is moving from day to day. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so,
is there a way to fix it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] email accounts setting

2015-10-20 Thread Mike B
Hi Trish,

If you delete the POP3 account you won't get any email in POP3 format. I
had both IMAP & POP3 installed for my primary email address & was seeing the
folders for both accounts at the same time. I was careful to make sure I
named each as MB69 POP3 & MB69 IMAP so I could tell the difference between
the 2 accounts. When I arrowed down through the list & tabbed into the MB69
POP Inbox I got the POP3 emails, & when I arrowed down to MB69 IMAP & tabbed
into the Inbox there were the IMAP emails. Also, my POP3 account had more
folders than my IMAP account because of folders I had created for separating
email with message rules.

Now, what I've done is create separate identities for each account so I only
get the proper email / folders when opening that particular identity. For
example: When I open the MB69 POP3 identity I get only the emails / folders
for my POP3 format &, when I open my MB69 IMAP identity I get only the IMAP
emails / folders for this fromat.

I'm running Outlook Express on my Windows 7 computer which does support the
use of multiple identities but, being that Windows Mail doesn't support the
use of multiple identities you may have to choose between POP3 & IMAP as per
your convenience.

Having both POP3 & IMAP can be done but, it can get very confusing!

Take care.

Hi Again,

I read over this info again, then something clicked in the old brain smiles.
I did find a folder titled “TWC” last item of the folder list via the POP
account.
I get what your saying here now.
What I still need to know is, should I delete the pop mail account then?
Thanks for your patience and help on this matter.

Trish,

Your existing folders in the POP3 account will be accessible
from the device configured as POP 3 with that account. any
device configured as IMAP will not see them because those
folders are on the local device that created them. To say
another way, my primary account with road runner is POP 3
because I share with my wife on two separate computers at
home. However the folders she has on her computer and the
ones I have on mine are different. Now, when we travel, I
can get our mail on my IPhone for that account but it is
IMAP as the phone will not let me setup POP 3. So the only
thing I see on the phone that is the same as on home PC is
inbox. Does this answer your question? The easiest way to
understand this is IMAP folders, info, etc. is maintained at
the ISP server; POP 3 folders etc. you create are on the
local device that created them.

This was necessary for other devices with email functions

I can deal with this type of account as long as my existing

Re: [JAWS-Users] email accounts setting

2015-10-20 Thread Trish
I am saying that is what I have done. The difference is, the IMAP has different
server/port numbers than the POP.

POP settings is:

SMTP: 587
POP:110
Server: server-tx.rr.com
*note: my ISP wants me to change the server to new server, which would be:
mail.twc.com for both SMTP/POP
but when I do, the nasty window's credentials window pops up wanting me to log
in and just will not go away, I have to alt tab away from that window. Mail
comes in for awhile, then it seems to hiccup.

The IMAP settings are as follows:
as for SMTP: 587 and as for POP: 143
server: mail.twc.com

Now I embarked on this maddness because it would seem settings on other
non-window's systems had some errors within settings. The SMTP was showing 993
with SSL checked, but that number does not match the required settings for
POP/IMAP based on what my ISP tells me.

I can live with the pop new settings if that annoying window's credentials
window would not rear it's ugly head.

Trish,

You have exceeded my thinking on this and anything else I suggest would be mere
speculation on my part, surely something you do not need in this mess.
Only other suggestions I may have is calling your ISP and discuss with them why
this is happening or contact Microsoft accessibility to see if they can figure
out a way for that box to stop popping up. It sounds to me like it is not
recognizing your user name or password.

I am saying that is what I have done. The difference is, the IMAP has different
server/port numbers than the POP.

POP settings is:

SMTP: 587
POP:110
Server: server-tx.rr.com
*note: my ISP wants me to change the server to new server, which would be:
mail.twc.com for both SMTP/POP but when I do, the nasty window's credentials
window pops up wanting me to log in and just will not go away, I have to alt
tab away from that window. Mail comes in for awhile, then it seems to hiccup.

Hi all,

I am running Win 8.1, MS 2010, and JAWS 16 latest.

I am wanting to go into my applications menu and attach an Excel sheet to an

applications but does nothing. If I press the f10 to get it, it tells me,
Windows list dialog.

I have never had this happen, does anyone know what is going on here? I need

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS with Dotnet applications!

2015-10-20 Thread Bissett, Tom
DotNet programs are usually accessible, It only gets complicated when
developers decide to waste time and money inventing custom controls that
screenreaders do not readily recognize rather using standered supplied
controls.
So the answer is, depends on how the program was coded. I realize this is not
much help but if you can talk to the developers or vendor to find out what they
have done it might help to know.
