Can anyone recommend a program to convert cd’s to mp3 that is accessible
with Jaws? I was using Cdex and it seems to be broken and is not working.
Tried to reinstall it and that did not fix the problem.

You cannot tell the difference in the music quality.

The m4r extension is for iPhone ring tones and thus not recognized by GoldWave.
Rename the file to use M4A as the extension.
Since the M4R is actually just a M4A (MPEG4 audio file) this should work just
fine.
I guess Goldwave handles M4A files.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Converting to a mp3

2011-03-27 Thread kimsan
Using format factory is quite simple.
First make sure the format factory window is maximized.
Now you must route jaws to pc and I would start from the top of the window
and then read down line-by-line.
Since you are wanting to work with an audio file, arrow down until you hear
all to mp3 and then perform a left mouse click.
Next in the resultin window, tab until you hear add file button and press
the spacebar.
Now shift-tab twice into your list of folders and find the file you would
like to convert.
Once you find the audio file that you would like to convert, tab until it
says open button and press enter or spacebar.
After doing this: now tab until you get to the ok button and press enter or
the spacebar.
Lastly, route jaws to pc and read line-by-line until you get to tasks and
perform a left mouse click. In the resultin window there will be a start
converting option and press enter. Now it will begin converting and once its
done, you will hear some sort of sound indicating so but if you are not
sitting by the computer while it converts like I do at times, just route
jaws to pc and read the bottom of the window where it will give you the
time. If the time doesn't change then its finished.
You can find the converted file in your my documents folder in a folder
called FFOutput.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hi
I just installed DvdAudioExtractor this week and I love it! I am
wondering though, how do I register it?
 Thank you.

God bless,

Hello Ann,

I think you can also do such conversions with the switch program. You
can download a free version from nch software.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Converting DVD to MP3

2009-06-10 Thread Darrin Porter
Anne,

As has already been said, DVD audio extractor works very well and is JAWS
friendly. However, it does cost, I think, $39 or $49 to register. I have
tried several free programs, such as Advanced Audio Extractor, but found them
very JAWS unfriendly.

Note that you can download a fully functional trial version of DVD audio
extractor. I think that it works for one month. I did that and decided to buy
the license long before the month was over!

Switch is free but then it sort of becomes crippled in my opinion after a
while. You can try it to see if it does convert dvd stuff though. I'm not
sure about that.
