A followw up to this posting. Looks like NewEgg is offering Vipre Antivirus
2016 one year digital download for $5.00. Other antivirus programs too, but
Vipre is specifically mentioned. Perhaps an option for those who may be on a
tighter budget.

Hi Cristóbal,

We run Vipre & MalwareBytes on all our computers with no problem. You will
probably have to tell Vipre that MWB is okay because Vipre will see it as some
sort of malware or virus or, whatever the correct Vipre terminology is.
Vipre, to put it nicely, is a much better protection program than MSSE.

Let me ask this. I've got MS Essentials along with paid Malwarebytes on a
Win 7 laptop, but am considering this deal for my Windows 8.1 desktop. Is
there any advantage in security with one over the other? I'll probably get
this for the desktop, but am wondering if I'm better off just leaving
Essentials on the laptop and saving the second instalation for some other
machine the wife and I may qcquire down the road. She's a little more
flexible with what she can use since she doesn’t' have to consider screen
reader accessibility and Essentials is pretty good about this and I've heard
good things about Vipre in conjunction with Jaws.

Hello group,

For anyone interested, the most JAWS friendly Internet Security software,
Vipre Internet Security, is going to be on sale Thanksgiving day for 24
hours, from 12:01 AM Thursday Morning, until 11:59 PM Thursday night. The
price will be $49.99. This license is for 2 PC’s for the life time of the
computers. This is a $150 savings. So, if anyone has been wanting to make
the switch, Thursday will be the day to do so. I personally have used this
product for years with JAWS, and have never been disappointed. I just
recently upgraded to the new 2016 version, and received an email notifying
me of the upgrade.

Hi Cristóbal,

We run Vipre & MalwareBytes on all our computers with no problem. You will
probably have to tell Vipre that MWB is okay because Vipre will see it as
some sort of malware or virus or, whatever the correct Vipre terminology is.

Vipre, to put it nicely, is a much better protection program than MSSE.
Take care.

Yes. I had used MSE and it did not do much to protect me. I did not had the
paid Malwarebytes but the free version but also did not do much. Vipre is
good and easy to use and very friendly with jaws. I am planning to get just
one because I only have one PC. Hope the deal also goes just for one.

Christobal,

As I said, I have the 3 PD license for Vipre, and Threat Track has never
said anything when I have uninstalled the program from one computer which I
was retiring, and reinstalled it onto a new computer. They either do not
mind this activity, or they do not monitor it very closely. I currently have
it on my new desktop, and my daughters notebook. However, I have had it
installed on two other laptops in the past as well.
