[JAWS-Users] wlm groups

2016-07-08 Thread Lenny McHugh
Good evening!
I’m becoming a little frustrated. I have 6 groups all populated. I wanted to
add a few to one of the groups. I locate the contact and use the application
key Arrow up to add to the sub category and only 3 of my groups appear.
However if I back tab after control 3 I can see all of the groups.
Any suggestions on how I can have the other groups show up in the list?
tia

[JAWS-Users] WLM & JAWS

2016-02-03 Thread Clark Friedrichs
Folks,

I am currently using Windows7/JAWS16/WLM2009, and everything is just fine.
When I update to JAWS17 and keep the rest the same, graphics within WLM change
on the fly and my labeled graphics are no longer labeled.
Freedom Scientific support tells me that the Microsoft accessibility routines
utilized by JAWS 17 are no longer compatible with WLM2009 and that I should
upgrade to the later WLM.
Have other people experienced this same problem?
Has upgrading to WLM2014 solve these graphic labeling problems for you?

Thanks.

Lenny,

Windows Essentials
2012 can be downloaded from the following Microsoft web site about the
software:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/essentials

You will have the choice to either install or not each of the applications
in the suite by checking a box. It is not completely clear that there are
check boxes there, but it will say to select the programs that you want to
install, then they are listed in two columns, so you have to arrow up and
down and left and right to see them all. hth.

This has been going on for quite some time already and I feel it is time to
mention it. Often but not always while reading a list of messages the following
happens. I delete a message and while the next message pops up JAWS just
freezes until I either hit the 5 on the number pad or the up arrow. Then it
starts reading normally. I figured it was some sort of hitch in the get along
as the southern folks say, but it is annoying when it keeps happening.

Hi Lenny.

Try this:
Press ctrl+3 to get to the contact's tab, and press shift+tab once, and
arrow down to the category you have the specefied contact added to, and
press enter.
Arrow down to the contact you want to remove, and press the context menu
button, and select remove, press enter.

This should only remove the contact from the category and not from your
contact's list.
Shift+tab, arrow up to All Contact's and press enter, so you have access to
the basic contact list, and press ctrl+1 to get back to the inbox and you
should be done.

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately, the message is written from a sighted person's perspective,
but essentially, the plus stands for Add, and the At symbol is for e-mail.

So, in the steps, the first step is to select the Accounts ribbon, followed
by Add, which should be a split button, followed by the E-mail button, and
this will bring you to the create a new e-mail account dialog box.

Some people don't know to expand all ribbons, so you may just land on the
e-mail button straight away, in which case, you simply enter on it.

Just remember to press the spacebar on the checkbox to manually configure
your e-mail settings, as opposed to letting the program do it for you.

Hope this helps.

explain them.

What matters is that you got the job done, and I'm glad of that.

change on the fly and my labeled graphics are no longer labeled.
Freedom Scientific support tells me that the Microsoft accessibility

I should upgrade to the later WLM.

Have other people experienced this same problem?
Has upgrading to WLM2014 solve these graphic labeling problems for you?

[JAWS-Users] WLM address book

I believe I have the latest WLM.

Is there anyway to use first letter navigation with searching for e mail

For example, if I want to forward a message, it would be so easy if I could
use this feature to locate all of the desired contacts.

Also, in sending a new e mail message.

Are there earlier versions of WLM that are better? If so, how does one

Thanks for any help.

Hello try the following;

1, with windows live mail opened,

1, alt+f=files;

2, O=options,

3, S=safety options

Now make sure you have the first one selected,
No Automatic Filtering. Mail from blocked senders is still moved to the
Junk Email folder.

You can also tab, there's 2 more settings I think;

Make sure you tab to okay and press enter.

Hope this helps.

to mark as not junk and hit enter and messages from that sender will no

field or try to read what I have written, and it just keeps repeating this
string over and over, until I stop it by pressing the control key. The only
way I can read what I have written is one letter or one word at a time.

This has been going on for quite some time already and I feel it is time
to mention it. Often but not always while reading a list of messages the
following happens. I delete a message and while the next message pops up
JAWS just freezes until I either hit the 5 on the number pad or the up
arrow. Then it starts reading normally. I figured it was some sort of
hitch in the get along as the southern folks say, but it is annoying when
it keeps happening.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wlm read receipt

2015-01-09 Thread Mike Boyd

Lenny,

To get a read receipt, press ALT + F to open the File menu. Tab down to the
Options menu and press enter, then use Control Tab to get you over to the
Receipts tab. Here you can set WLM to send read receipts. I could not find
anything on marking a message as priority.

[JAWS-Users] wlm accounts particially working

2015-02-06 Thread Lenny McHugh
Ok, After I added the comcast account nothing happened until I ended wlm
and re-launched. Then it required my comcast password.
What is interesting is that the messages do now come down. They do not show
in my wlm inbox but under unreqad. If I reply to one it goes out under my
verizon email. It also does not show up in sent box.
I would at least like it to go to my sent box.

after starting a new message, shift tab about three times and there will be
the different choices so use the up or down arrow to select and then tab until
cc/bcc , subject, message body and all will remain with that address until you
choose to change it again
So in effect, you have the ability to select the default or change it using
this method

Lenny,

Here are the settings to set up your Comcast email account. I don't know if
these differ from what you have been trying, but if so,

Incoming Server (pop3): mail.comcast.net
Outgoing Server: smtp.comcast.net
Incoming port: 587
Outgoing port: 995

If you mean how to set the default account, this is a check box in one of
the windows of the account set up wizard. If you mean how to select an
account at random, all of your accounts will show up in the main window of
the WLM program. For instance, le...@comcast.net will be listed and will say
closed. You know to press the right arrow key to open this and then arrow
down to the Inbox, Junk, and Deleted Items folders. If you set up two
accounts, the next account will appear just below this comcast account.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wlm mail accounts

2015-02-07 Thread Mike Boyd

Sure Kevin,

The first thing that you need to do for setting up Gmail in WLM, is to sign
into your Gmail acount at gmail.com, and find the forwarding item inside of
the settings tab. Here, you need to select the IMAP as your choice because
this is easier to use than the POP3 Server settings.

While in the Settings tab, also select the item called Labels, and check off
the folders that you want to appear in WLM under your Gmail account.

Now, open up WLM and the Add an Account wizard, and start setting up the
account by inputting your Gmail address, the password, etc. Be sure that the
"secure server" and "requires verification" boxes are checked.

The incoming server will be imap.gmail.com, and the port willbe 993.

The outgoing server will be smtp.gmail.com, and this port will be 587.

After this, just complete any other steps required, and then you should have
your Gmail account appearing in the WLM main window.

Hi

If you use both the gmail incoming and outgoing servers, by default when you
send an email to a mailing list such as JAWS-USERS, you will not receive a copy
of your message from the list. The suggestion to use your ISP's outgoing
server instead of the gmail outgoing server was only a way to be able to
receive a copy of any email you send to a mailing list.

You can e.g. press alt+enter on the mail, ctrl+tab to the Details page, and

Than you can forward the message to this one.
